Week of June 8: Venus/Jupiter Conjunction:

The week of June 8 launches on an emotional high tide, thanks to Venus shining especially bright in the night sky while forming a conjunction with Jupiter in Cancer. The conjunction is exact on June 9 but will continue to hold sway over most of the week ahead. If you are a star gazer, look to the west after sunset. Despite Jupiter’s massive size, Venus shines brighter. Together, this duo will outshine all the rest of the stars. Venus teamed with Jupiter can be a fortuitous, enrichening, and full of promise pairing. You could feel gifted by the moment’s outpouring, by the nourishment you gain from a relationship exchange, or by the grace and growth potential that is given to you through synchronicity/the unseen forces.

On the other hand, you could feel emotionally overwhelmed or in greater need. Whatever you feel, you’ll feel it deeply. The transit can trigger added insecurity, vulnerability, or protectiveness. In general, Venus attracts/ magnetizes, while Jupiter increases and expands. Together, they can heighten emotional sensitivity and responses. To the plus, that can translate into a right touch, right moment opportunity. This transit is well used to smooth rough edges. It also sets a backdrop for gaining more support and for gifting yourself with better self care.

This planetary pairing is accompanied on June 9 by Mercury/Saturn on a corner turn (productive breakthrough aspect) and on June 10 by Pluto/Ceres in a seeding and harvesting trine (dual application; two-way influence). Feel like you have been here before? Uranus in square to the lunar nodes marks the week ahead as  significant karmic threshold crossing. (Uranus is an acceleration, awakening, and liberation archetype. It is good for a fresh jump-start, innovation, and reinvention.)  A greater than average (perhaps once in a lifetime) potential exists for a breakthrough regarding a repeating loop dynamic. Combined, the transits of the week ahead activate significant (karmic) potency.

Venus and Jupiter in Cancer increase the attention on home, family, real estate, food, domestic and national safety and security. Venus in Cancer finishes the week (June 12) in a turning point angle (moving past the past) to Chiron (insightful learning and growth).  June 13 to July 9, Venus in Leo, amplifies potential. Make the most of your gifts! In general, Venus in Leo enhances the ability to stay heart centered and to tap from inner resilience. If the transit makes a notable contact to your natal chart, you could find yourself on the receiving end of more attention, recognition, and favour. An increased desire to create more joy and to gift yourself more is a signature of this transit. Needless to say, better reward and more fulfillment are always worthwhile pursuits. When well placed, your heart’s desire can gain favour too. Consider this short transit as a prequel to Jupiter’s one year tour of Leo which starts on June 29.

Chiron enters Taurus on June 19. Coinciding with the start of Jupiter in Leo, Mercury in Cancer begins a three-week retrograde tour on June 29 (to July 23). I will write more on these transits in the coming weeks.
