On July 20, Jupiter and Pluto will form an exact opposition. Thanks to Jupiter’s travel, this opposition happens roughly every 12 years, although not in always in the same sign. (The last Jupiter/Pluto oppositions happened in 2013/2014 (3 times) across the Cancer/Capricorn axis. In 2038/2039, Jupiter and Pluto will form 3 exact oppositions across the Leo/Aquarius axis). Jupiter’s opposition to Pluto is significant on its own. Why this Jupiter/Pluto transit stands out is due to an extremely rare alignment of outer planets, all of which have (recently) began transits in new signs. Together they form a basket configuration from sextiles (creative potential) and trines (facilitates creative opportunity). The basket holds sacred symbolism for many cultures.
