BEGINNER ASTROLOGY, Level 1, 6 wks

This course is an excellent foundation for those with general interest and for those who want to prepare for in-depth study. The basics (planets, signs, houses, elements, rulerships, lunar phases as an introduction to aspects) are presented in a logical building block format and are taught from the Evolutionary Astrology perspective. This class can be suitable for absolute beginners as well as for those with some astrological background.**This course covers essential basics not taught in the Evolutionary School (see below) The next beginner level 1 course will be offered Mon, September 27, 2010.

Beginner Astrology, Level 2, 6 weeks starting Mon, Nov 8 2010

This course will cover more on Planets in signs and house, with a concentration on Aspects, Rulerships, Planetary Pairs and Planetary Phases. The deadline for registration is Mar 10.

TAROT:

One Day Workshop: The Major Arcana, 10:30 – 4pm  Fee: $125 (Sept, 2010)

The first 22 cards, known as the Major Arcana, describe the archetypical initiation journey of the Sacred Fool. Through encouraging active class participation, this workshop will serve to stimulate creative thought and to provide an encouraging environment through which the student can learn to gain trust in their intuitive skills.

The Major Arcana can be read independently from the remaining four suits. By the end of the day, students should feel confident to apply that which has been learned in class to read for themselves, or to offer simple readings to others.

Please bring your own Ryder Waite Tarot deck to class. This deck is readily available in most bookstores and metaphysical shops. If you own other decks, please feel free to bring them to class, comparison can also provide a wonderful tool for learning.

Evening Class: The Minor Arcana: 5 weeks, 7 – 9pm Fee: $200.00 (Sept 2010)

This course aims to stimulate creativity and to provide an encouraging environment through which the student can learn to gain trust and confidence as they hone their intuitive skills.

Course Outline

SESSION ONE:
(12 weeks)
(Fee for those attending this session only: $650.00)

Discussion of the Soul’s evolution through separating and returning desires, evolutionary intent, necessity, and karmic requirement; an examination of the various Evolutionary States of Consciousness and the recognizable characteristics of each tier within each of these states.

An in-depth discussion of the 12 fold cycle of the zodiac: each sign and corresponding sign polarity will be discussed first from the perspective of its purest archetypal expression (natural law). Secondly, we will discuss how the storehouse of subconscious conditioning patterns, developed through the experiences of both the contemporary life and previous lives, color the archetypes, adding complexities that drive and/or undermine our behaviour responses. We will also engage in an in-depth discussion of Planetary Aspects and Phasal Relationships.

The Jeffrey Wolf Green Step-by-Step Method of Chart Interpretation: this methodology offers a specific criterion for analyzing the Soul’s core evolutionary intentions for the current life, starting with an analysis of Pluto and the nodal axis (in relationship to Pluto and Pluto’s polarity point), by sign, house, planetary aspects, and phasal relationships. Chart examples will be used to in order to demonstrate this unique system of chart evaluation.

SESSION TWO:
(12 weeks)
Sexuality and Relationships
Following a brief review of Session 1, this session will focus on the Soul’s evolution through relationships. Synastry and Composite chart interpretation will be covered. Students will have the opportunity to learn through in-class chart practice.

SESSION THREE:
(6 weeks)
Current Influences and Dynamic Interpretation Tools:
The Study of Progressions, Transits, and Return Chart Methods.
This session will focus on the evolving potentials unlocked through the contemporary stellar influences. In addition to natal and relationship work, we will also be discussing the social advances and evolutionary potentials regarding the collective experience.

Please note: the 2010 school will break for the summer and recommence in Sept. Please let me know if you would like to attend summer classes in order to catch up to the present group.

Application for enrollment is now being accepted for the next Jeffrey Wolf Green School of Evolutionary Astrology, Vancouver, Canada,  starting February 2011.

This intensive one year program, designed by founder Jeffrey Wolf Green, leads to certification for those interested in professional recognition as an Evolutionary Astrologer. The course is suitable for the seriously minded astrology student, or for anyone with a sincere interest in self exploration utilizing astrological tools. Suitable for beginner to advanced students, participants will gain not only through studies, but also through interaction and sharing with other students in the class. (Some basic astrological knowledge is required, please contact Rose Marcus to discuss the minimum requirements.)

This 30 week course is taught in 5 sessions, 6 weeks per session (one class per week for 6 weeks), with a short break between each session. Homework assignments will be provided at the end of the course for those interested in gaining certification.

A full commitment to the entire course is required, the course fees are non refundable. If you cannot make all of the sessions, you will be able to pick up the missed segments the next time the course is offered.

The course fee is $1500.00. A deposit of $250.00 (prior to Sept. 1st) guarantees your enrollment.  A payment schedule is available upon request. All classes are held in North Vancouver.
