Jupiter in Cancer, June 9 – 2025 – June 29, 2026

Jupiter begins a one-year tour of Cancer on June 9 (2:01 pm PDT). Think back 12 years ago, to 2013/2014 or further back to 2001/2002. What began or escalated for you at that time? Every 12 years, Jupiter will transit the same area (house or planet) of your chart. In so doing, Jupiter launches a next 12-year cycle for that same subject or circumstance. Of course, it is never the same twice. On the bigger picture scale, this Jupiter transit also correlates to a 20-year cycle (social, political and economic growth) and a 36-year global reset chapter regarding collective ideologies, beliefs, and pursuits.
While on tour through Cancer, sign of its exaltation, Jupiter increases the scope regarding the sign archetype: safety, security, and protection (personal, financial, domestic, national), home/home base, real estate, family, family circumstances, mother, mothering, nurturance, nourishment (food production, supply, and security) support, comfort zones, nest eggs, the past, and ancestral matters. Heightened sensitivity, heightened vulnerability – when Jupiter transits Cancer, you feel it big time. It is an emotional journey to be sure. To the plus, emotional bonds can deepen/enrich. Indeed, under this transit, there is a tendency for matters to come easily, to feel gifted with abundance and opportunity. When prominently placed by synastry, couples can get along very well and put up with a lot more or indulge a lot more than they might otherwise.Jupiter can inflate the plus side and ignore the mud on the shoes.
Too much of a good thing is not something we tend to complain about. On the other hand, there are times when Jupiter can put too much on a plate. Under this transit, there is a propensity to care too much, to cling too much, to be overly sensitive, to feel overly vulnerable, or emotionally overwhelmed. The past can catch up with you in some big way too.
Here is an item that gets less air play re a Jupiter transit. To gift you with something more, with something more aligned with your future rather than your past, Jupiter will create room first. A Jupiter transit can create an expanse in order to fill that expanse. Jupiter can put you on a departure track and/or widen the distance between you and what you had going for you/what had already been procured. To recap Right out the starting gate, Jupiter begins its tour of Cancer with a forward thrust momentum or major impact thanks to two major events in June: the full moon in Sagittarius (Jupiter’s home sign) on June 12; the last of the triple pass square alignment with Saturn on June 15. This transit has kept us stuck at an invisible barrier/turnstile impasse for the past 10 months. The final Saturn/Jupiter meet-up (opening square aspect) takes place with both planets at the start of their individual tours in cardinal (action oriented) signs. In addition to Saturn/Jupiter, Mars/Uranus (a sudden spark, and often volatile combination) are also in dynamic (square) aspect. Note, the USA has planned a grand military parade for June 14. No doubt, it will be an eventful weekend for many folks.
