March Overview:
Ceres, a seeding and renewal archetype, entered Aries on February 20 (the same day Mercury finished retrograde). To May 8, Ceres in Aries brings it to life with a stronger, more vital life force. As such the transit is welcome to the roster for the start of the spring season. Fresh potential is on the horizon, especially in the last 10 days of the month.
Mars enters Gemini on March 3. Extending to April 23, one way or another watch for this energizing and mobilizing Mars transit to get you/get it moving. On March 4, Mercury in Aquarius forms a conjunction with Jupiter. This pairing moves us past a recent extension period (holding pattern or riding it out time) and begins a next phase. In combination, Mars and Mercury/Jupiter puts more of everything into action and onto an upswing. Covid-19 restrictions continue to lift, more vaccines will reach more people, more dollars will change hands, more students will return to classrooms, and more people will get out and about. Having said that, the threat of a next pandemic wave is still within scope. Please continue to protect yourself against exposure.
March opens with Venus at the start of a three-week tour of Pisces. The sun in Pisces aligns with Neptune on March 10 (conjunction) and Venus aligns with Neptune (conjunction) on the new moon in Pisces on Mach 13. Often the days before a new moon are quiet and tend to slip by without much fanfare. Noting the high concentration in Pisces, this can certainly be the case. On the other hand, March 9 to 13 is infused with potential, especially for the hopeful, in love, inspired or spiritually inclined. Let the moment sweep you away (but of course, also play it wise.) Use these few days to dive into creative projects, to search for better prospects, to launch marketing campaigns. It is not a time to struggle but to feel your way along, and to allow the moment to reveal itself. Simple and relaxed is the best way to play it. Don’t hesitate to take time out for yourself, to rest, heal, and/or regroup.
After an extended tour of Aquarius (two months), Mercury is finally moving on. March 15 to April 3, Mercury tours Pisces. While transits through Pisces can make for a smoother pace or easier go, they also keep uncertainty going. Creative undertakings, going with the flow, and staying open-ended is the best way to use this transit.
The last ten days of the month set an optimal backdrop for making significant progress and for heading onto a fresh page. The sun’s entrance into Aries (the spring equinox) happens on March 20 (2:37 am PST). Venus enters Aries on March 21. Mars trine Saturn on this same day. You can feel that things are starting to shape up, to make more sense, to show more promise, to fall into place. The sun forms a superior conjunction with Venus on March 25. The duo travel together from March 25 to the full moon in Libra on March 28. An illuminating, consciousness raising pairing, Sun/Venus can light a fresh spark on something lucrative and worthwhile. Fertility prospects are heightened. It is an auspicious time to start something new. The full moon in Libra is engaged not only by (and opposition to the triple conjunction of) Sun/Venus and Chiron in Aries, but also by trines to Mars in Gemini and Saturn in Aquarius. What does it all mean? The full moon sets a backdrop for a twist of fate or the destined to be, something illuminating, lucrative, exceptional, something sudden, instantaneous, or life altering. For some, this full moon can trigger a once in a lifetime experience. A relationship can end or begin. Of course, how you personally experience the workings of this full moon will depend on what contact it is making to your natal chart. It may or may not turn up the intensity dial for you. Having said that, the end of March can be a significant springboard time.
