June 20: Ring of Fire Solar Eclipse, 11:41 pm (0:21 Cancer)
A rare, ring of fire Solar Eclipse in Cancer coincides with today’s Summer Solstice! What is in the works now is already well under way – namely a stark awareness of that which is long past its expiry date and the necessary, critical, and long overdue reprogramming (and/or complete overhaul) of the reality baseline. Regarding the personal and collective journey alike, we stand poised at a completion and seeding threshold holding amped-up karmic potency. The actual date of an eclipse may coincide with a significant event or passage, but note it also (even more importantly) holds energetic potency over an extended period of time. We can witness the influence of an eclipse pre and post the actual date (for a solar eclipse, up to 90 days prior to and following, and extending over years too). Today’s eclipse path travels over parts of Africa and Asia, including the Central African Republic, Congo, Ethiopia, southern Pakistan, northern India, and China. The last time a solar eclipse lined up with the summer solstice was 2001, the next time this will happen is 2039! (Repeats every 19 years – a metonic cycle.) Solar eclipses tend to trigger outer world events, this one holds even more potential and impact as it sits on a world axis meridian. We already witnessing the workings of the eclipse regarding the headlines of the day. World consciousness that is now in the throws of more rapid breakdown and restructuring. It is time to reflect on what it means to be human, to be self honoring and other honoring. It is time to break ties with a past that does not serve, to break the habitual re-creation of that which denies peace, harmony, respect and well-being for Mother Earth, for one and for all. It is a simple message, but it requires great courage – be the change you want to see.

JUNE OVERVIEW:
The month ahead hosts Venus retrograde, 2 eclipses, Mercury retrograde, and the start of a six-month transit of Mars in Aries. Here’s the run down:
Venus:
Venus entered Gemini on April 3 and turned retrograde on May 12 (at 21:50 Gemini). The retrograde cycle will end on June 24, but Venus will not leave Gemini until August 7.
Venus in Gemini and Mars in Pisces turn a corner turn on June 2 and set a next phase or play into motion. Together they are informing, in an unfolding, feel-it-along type of way. This Venus/Mars transit sets a backdrop for uncovering something more. It can set the stage for a more viable and/or alternate option to appear.
June 3 marks the midpoint of the Venus retrograde cycle. This is when Venus forms an inferior (interior) conjunction with the sun, (an almost exact alignment of Earth, Venus, sun). At this point in her orbit, Venus rises and sets at the same time as the sun and so her visibility is overpowered by the sun’s powerful glare. This Venus/sun conjunction marks the end of a nine-month manifesting phase and the start of the next nine-month cycle.
The sun/Venus retrograde conjunction happens just two days before the June 5 lunar eclipse, while Venus is still hidden from our gaze (May 30 to June 10). On June 10 she will reappear as a morning star. Venus will be at its greatest brilliance on July 8 (four days after the solar eclipse of July 4). She’ll reach her highest point as a morning star on September 8, the day before Mars stations retrograde.
The Venus/sun new phase cycle starting on June 3 carries an extra punch for two reasons. Firstly, it is energized by the building lunar eclipse that happens just two days later. (A lunar eclipse brings to the surface that which has been brewing or budding, but that has not yet seen the full light of day.) Secondly, Venus re-stimulates the degree of the Venus Transits of 2012 and 2004. This is an exceptionally rare occurrence that happens in pairs over 105 – 121-year intervals (full cycle is 243 years). Loosely speaking, the Venus Transit is like an eclipse and thus is significant in terms of its attractive and vibrational potency, and in terms of karmic recall, karmic endings and beginnings. Think of the bigger picture Venus (eclipse) Transit and the current Venus trigger transit as stimulating the soul’s evolutionary pheromones, this at the personal and the collective levels. The current Venus transit culminates an eight to sixteen-year cycle of karmic development regarding relating and creating (material, social, personal, and karmic). Think back and you may see how relevant that is for you in terms of the deeper impact of significant events and relationships. What you have experienced, what have you learned in the process? No doubt, a lot. It is time to take that knowledge and to apply it to your greater good.
Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius: June 5:
An eclipse can be event producing prior to and after the actual date they occur. The lunar eclipse of June 5 has already set unexpected wheels in motion. Recent headlines are a demonstration of the eclipse’s potency. Here are a few of the notables: the historic Space-ex launch, George Floyd’s murder and the ignition of civil unrest/violent protests in many cities across the USA, the death of Regis Korchinski-Paquet (attended to by police and also contributing to Black Lives Matter protests in Toronto), Trump’s withdrawal from the World Health Organization, China’s move to reign in Hong Kong under the guise of national security (a move to ending the one country, two system format which is descriptive for the eclipse across the Sagittarius/Gemini (one/two) axis).
An eclipse always warehouses an element of the unexpected. The June 5 lunar eclipse in Sagittarius holds greater than average significance due to the draw from the Venus/sun conjunction (discussed above). It also gains an extra kick from its alignment with the planetary nodes of Uranus. (The eclipse moon is conjunct the south node of Uranus, the eclipse sun is conjunct the north node of Uranus.) Additionally, Mars in Pisces is in hard angle (square aspect) to the eclipse, and Mercury in Cancer is in hard angle (square) to Chiron in Aries.
Mercury/Chiron: Mercury/Chiron puts an added spotlight on key people and events as important catalysts for karmic threshold crossings. It increases the emotional and reactive element pertaining to key players or key issues. Chiron is a signature for scapegoats, the ostracized, outcast, marginalized, vulnerable, victimized, or sacrificed. Mercury in Cancer puts added attention on home, family, safety and security, (personal, domestic, national.) Coinciding with the lunar eclipse, this Mercury/Chiron transit has triggered anti-black racism, and brought issues such as the horrendous conditions of Canada’s senior care facilities to the light of day. Regis Korchinski-Paquet was under extreme mental distress (Mercury/Chiron) at the time of her fall from her family’s high-rise apartment. Initially caught in the middle and opening the door to her extradiction to the USA, Canada’s supreme court ruling against Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou is also displayed the signature of the Mercury/Chiron transit on the eclipse.
As the incurable wound, Chiron’s lengthy through Aries, a hot button influence, does not plan to be silenced, or to sweep things under the carpet. Still, there’s a problem when righteous anger turns to violence and when opportunists start looting sprees. Oh, the world is so damaged, so in need of healing. Let us remember to respect each other, and all life.
Suffice to say, the critical do-to list is long, the stakes are high, the deck is loaded. A “go the distance” archetype, the Sagittarius eclipse puts everything on the increase or on the escalation, i.e. trends, protests, social contagion, market action, politics, emancipation or take-over bids, the weather, etc.
Mars in Pisces in square to the lunar eclipse: We are all in it together. Pertaining to the masses, large scale events, and to the global experience, Mars in Pisces is an exposing influence. This eclipse has already been well triggered. Watch for more to unfold, especially June 2 – 6 and June 11 – 13. Relative to the eclipse, Mars in Pisces can blur the distinction between true and false, fact and fiction, natural and artificial, between one and the other. When working along a negative or difficult track, Mars in Pisces can attack by stealth. Covid-19 in action (second wave, next waves, global reach) is a prime example.
Trump’s withdrawal from the World Health Organization is viewed by some political analysts as another step toward the USA’s progressive abdication from its position as world’s leader. A shift of power is a demonstration of the USA’s Pluto return and Pluto in Capricorn coming full circle on the last 248 years. (Capricorn is the archetype of the structure of reality, time and time-spans; history, the past; government). Vacant seats are up for grabs regarding leadership roles (and China for one, is more than happy to take the ball from the USA and run with it). While we hope for salvation from the decay and corruption we see in the world, and the wisdom to choose to leaders who will act on behalf our highest and greatest good, there are always opportunists lying in wait for their grab and run moment.
As a lunar eclipse unfolds, what has been hidden from view uncovers the problem but also the corrective and healing track:
As with all transits, there are many ways for the creative process to unfold. Let me now offer a positive spin on the Mars/eclipse set up. When working along a positive track, Mars in Pisces can create a synthesis or blending that draws from the best of all worlds. Mars in Pisces can unlock or unleash a wealth of potential and opportunity.
Mercury retrograde in Cancer:
Mercury in Cancer travels retrograde from June 17 to July 12. By now you know the drill: take nothing for granted, double check everything, ask more questions, don’t bank on an assumption. Set-back, second guessing, and buyer’s remorse are typical of the cycle. In Cancer this time around, Mercury retrograde adds even more emphasis on home, family, and the past; on nourishment and nurturance, matters to do with diet, food and water; safety and security at all levels (personal, domestic, and national). The transit also puts an added spotlight on a specific individual or family member.
Solar Eclipse in Cancer: June 20
Coinciding with the summer solstice, a solar eclipse in Cancer happens on June 20/21 (please check your local time). We may be moving along a fluid course, but there is no doubt about it, the baselines are shifting, and a new/next reality is setting into play. Adjustments are necessary in order to make this moment more workable and in order to set up the best opportunity for tomorrow. Start again or start over. Go by the feel of it. Seeds planted now hold greater than average potency.
Expect for the month to end as it began –holding action and impact. Mars leaves Pisces for Aries on June 27. Due to a retrograde tour (mid September to mid November), Mars will tenant Aries through the start of 2021. That’s an especially long time for Mars to keep stoking the fire.
Jupiter/Pluto:
Why now? Where is justice? How can the police get away a with another murder of a black man? Isn’t this 2020??
Jupiter tours Capricorn for most of 2020. Among the many correlations, Jupiter in Capricorn correlates to racism, immigrants and displaced peoples, civil rights, cultural and moral standards, etc. Spanning most of the year (April to November), Jupiter and Pluto are working through to create a seismic shift regarding our beliefs, philosophies, social and cultural norms. Jupiter/Pluto meet again on June 29 while both are travelling retrograde. This second of three meetings brings Jupiter/Pluto to the midpoint peak in the the process of removing a wall, block or stronghold (i.e. a rationalization, mindset, etc), of breaking down the old system and busting up the concrete where necessary. Jupiter’s influence is big and Pluto’s influence is formidable and non-negotiable. Some things must change. One way or another (- through violence if necessary as is happening in the streets of the USA at the time of this writing) – Jupiter/Pluto will make it so.
ARIES March 19/20 – April 19
Despite the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions, my advice is to continue to stay vigilant and to put extra attention toward protecting your immune system. Mars in Pisces continues to June 27.
Mars in Pisces keeps it brewing behind the scenes. It’s a good transit for exploring potentials, soul searching, romance and for feeling creatively inspired. The transit is also well used to taking more time out to replenish, to heal, and to get ready to hit the ground running. Mars enters Aries on June 27. Mars usually spends five to six weeks visiting a sign, but this transit will keep you supplied with fresh fire power all the way to January 6, 2021! This is due to a retrograde cycle (September 9 to November 15). I’ll write more about that in future columns.
Venus retrograde is a time to regroup, to reassess plans and projections, to get back to unfinished projects and conversations. The transit also dials up unfinished relationship issues. As such, it is also a karmic threshold transit. You can re-meet with key people, key issues or circumstances in the flesh or through your mind’s eye. There is an opportunity to reconcile with yourself and lay the past to rest, or to pick it up again and take it a step or few forward. Either way, see the Venus transit as opportunity in the making.
Venus retrograde joins with the sun on June 3. This is the peak of the retrograde cycle and marks the both an ending and a beginning of significance -namely that of ending the past nine months and starting the next nine months. On the bigger picture front, Venus/sun completes an eight to sixteen-year cycle. Think back to 2012, what was going on for you then? That karmic chapter is now completing. Venus spotlights relationships (including the one you have with yourself), finances and survival matters. Venus in Gemini puts added emphasis on all subjects that fall under the Gemini banner – i.e. friends, siblings, neighbours and neighbourhoods, your social life, education and training programs, communications, transportation, trade, and commerce. Breathing space and fresh air are also on the list. Gemini correlates to the lungs and person to person transmission; Pisces to the exposure and the immune system. As stated in previous writings, both archetypes will remain active for the next couple of months and extend over the next year. Covid-19 will continue to be an ongoing concern.
This Venus/sun transit gains extra turbo from the lunar eclipse in Sagittarius on June 5. An eclipse always holds an element of surprise. Mars in Pisces, an exposing transit, and Mercury/Chiron, (a message/messenger of note) accompanies the eclipse. A lunar eclipse brings to the light of day something that has been in the works but that has previously escaped full view. Watch for a potential to make its presence better known, for someone to act as a catalyst for the action.
Mercury stations retrograde in Cancer from June 17 to July 12. Use this transit to reconnect with family and those you haven’t seen in awhile. Mercury retrograde can also see you revisit something or someone from your past. The Mercury transit puts added attention on health and self care (emotional, actual), on safety, security, food, real estate, and home related matters.
The solar eclipse in Cancer on June 20/21 also puts the spotlight on all the Cancer themes above, as well as on national concerns (safety and security; food and water). A new chapter gets underway. Endings and beginnings are intertwined.
Jupiter and Pluto meet on June 29 for the second of three alignments that span most of this year. Progressively this transit is creating a seismic shift regarding our beliefs and regarding how we need to set better paving stones in place in order to get to that brighter, more abundant, more secure future.
TAURUS April 19 – May 20
No doubt you are in the middle of a deep-think process. Can you feel your heart beating to a different drum? Are you where you want to be? Are you feeling satisfied, appreciated, loved, or fulfilled? Venus in Gemini has travelled retrograde since May 12 and continues to June 24. Along with the recent karmic axis switch, you can be growing increasingly aware that you no longer want what you were previously aiming for, that your present circumstance is limited or not reflecting the life you want, that there must be more than this.
On June 3, Venus retrograde will reconvene with the sun. This ends a nine-month timeline and starts the next nine-month timeline. It also marks an ending for a bigger picture karmic track that was begun in 2012 (perhaps as far back as 2004). Both Mars in Pisces (to June 27) and Neptune in Pisces (turning retrograde on June 22) stir potential but also great uncertainty. Stay hopeful, seize the opportunity provided by your inspired moments, and take each day one at a time.
A lunar eclipse in Sagittarius follows just two days after the Venus/sun alignment. Mars in Pisces is dynamic alignment (square) the eclipse. A lunar eclipse will always bring the previously hidden from view into the full light of day. Watch for this eclipse to do exactly that. This eclipse is laden with exceptional potential. It could fast track you to someplace unexpected, hopefully it is some place good. The eclipse could even set you up for a dream come true. If nothing happens, know the moment is exceptionally ripe for setting intention and/or a commune with the divine. If you meet with loss or disillusionment, know it is a fast track to something better.
Mercury in Cancer is retrograde from June 17 to July 12. As is typical of the cycle, expect to reconnect with family, friends and the past, to resume, revisit, or revise projects or plans. How good are you at self care? Is there someone who needs more from you? Mercury retrograde spotlights health and safety. Along with Venus in Gemini (the lungs) and the rest of the transits, it is important to keep vigilant on the Covid-19 front.
In addition to featuring home, family, and the past, the solar eclipse in Cancer on June 20/21 (depending on your location) begins a new living with yourself cycle. Like a plant that needs water, make sure to quench body, mind, and soul.
GEMINI May 20 – June 20
Venus ends retrograde ends on June 24, but she will extend her tour of Gemini to August 7. Want the attention or not, your ability to attract is at peak. Too, Venus gifts you with extra time to enhance your position and/or what mother nature gave you, to make yourself look and feel the part – at all levels.
While Venus retrograde is a time to resume, please continue social distancing and to stay vigilant re Covid-19 exposure.
Do not under-estimate the value of a revisit or a repetition episode. Venus retrograde also takes you through a karmic checkpoint regarding a key relationship or specific circumstance. The retrograde cycle offers an opportunity to shift your perception on what was, what is, and what’s next; in other words, for you to move it/yourself forward. The Venus transit also sets a favourable backdrop to get back to on-line or self study, or a creative project.
June 3 to 6 holds significant creative and karmic potency. Venus retrograde and the sun bring the past nine months to a close and start a new nine month manifesting chapter. Additionally, Venus brings to completion a bigger picture eight-year cycle (sixteen years for some). Look to the lunar eclipse on June 5 to expose or illuminate something important. To the plus or minus, potentials reveal themselves. This eclipse can produce hidden wealth or open a floodgate.
June 17 to July 12, Mercury travels retrograde in Cancer. The transit puts an added spotlight on safety and security at all levels, health included. It’s an appropriate time to rethink your investments, emotional and financial. How good are you at self care? Make your personal wellbeing a top priority.
June 20/21 (depends on your time zone) delivers a solar eclipse in Cancer. An eclipse on the summer solstice sets the next quarter of the year onto a potency dial up. It’s a prompt for starting over, for recalibrating regarding your personal life and of reorienting inwardly. You may feel a sense of being jettisoned into a next phase or into new territory (especially if the eclipse makes direct contact to your natal chart). Jupiter and Pluto in Capricorn join forces on June 29. It is the second of three “seismic shift” alignments spanning most of the year (April through November). Progressively a new reality is cementing. The rest of this year is for moving past the past and for getting a better handle on today. The end of this year and into the next few set up exceptional opportunity to completely reinvent yourself/your life.
CANCER June 20 – July 22
Due to her retrograde tour, Venus extends her stay in Gemini through the start of August. While Venus tours retrograde (to June 24), you can find you are not quite up to full swing, or that you are sidetracked with something extra. Covid-19 still posing a threat, but what you feel is more than just the wrench toss of the pandemic. Venus prompts a more active inner internal questioning, wrestling, and soul-searching process.
Whether you take it on by choice or it happens by exposure, the transit will bring you up to speed with whatever is important for you to know or to learn. On June 3, Venus and the sun conjoin. This marks the midpoint peak of the retrograde and an eighteen-month cycle. This Venus transit also culminates a bigger picture eight-year karmic cycle re relationships, finances/manifesting, surviving and/or thriving. The lunar eclipse on June 5 brings more to the surface and into your awareness. Whether it is a conversation or something more, watch for something that has been on brew but that has escaped full view to make its presence better known. You could witness the workings of the eclipse indirectly (i.e. world matters) or the eclipse could trigger/reveal something major, perhaps even life altering. It can cover a wide range of matters, i.e. work, health, the future, education, marketing or speculative ventures, performing, publishing, relocation, marriage, travel, immigration, or legal undertakings. With Mars in Pisces as a key player, the eclipse could cut you loose/set you free unexpectedly. Of course, how the eclipse impacts you will depend on what kind of impact it makes to your natal chart.
Mercury tours retrograde in Cancer from June 17 to July 12. If this transit sets you back (emotionally, health wise, materially), see it for what it is. To race ahead or hit it prematurely could be folly (especially re Covid-19). You are gifted with a necessary time extension in order to get better acclimatized and prepared, to do more healing, to regroup, strengthen, replenish and refortify. By the end of July, beginning of August, Mercury will be in better position and onto an empowerment initiative. Venus in Cancer will be on your side too.
The lunar eclipse in Cancer on June 20/21 begins a new living with yourself chapter. It is a good transit for fresh starts and new starts. June 29, Jupiter/Pluto can see you surpass something more.
LEO July 22 – August 22
It is time to resume some kind of normal, but I highly recommend that you continue to maintain social distancing and to stay vigilant re your health. Especially so while the following transits (to name a few!) are in operation: Venus retrograde (to June 24), Mars in Pisces (through June 27) and Mercury retrograde (June 17 to July 12). When it comes to Covid-19, we do not have the “all clear” signal yet – not by a long shot!
Venus retrograde in Gemini offers a better opportunity to reconnect and to get back to activities that have recently been waylaid. Having said that, you can aim for the same, but resuming may not be the same. Modifications are necessary. Go by feel. Change/reinvention could set the stage for more and better.
Venus reaches the midpoint peak of her retrograde cycle on June 3. In conjunction with the sun, Venus ends a nine-month cycle and begins the next nine month manifesting cycle. Additionally, Venus is on a finish-up with a bigger picture eight to sixteen-year evolutionary mandate. Take a moment to think back. What did you attract? What did you learn?
A lunar eclipse in Sagittarius happens on June 5, just two days after the Venus/sun trigger point. Watch for this eclipse to set wheels in motion unexpectedly. One thing after another, June 11/12 continues the trend, this in terms of unlocking hidden potential, dissolving barriers, or exposing something that previously escaped full view.
Mercury in Cancer starts a retrograde cycle on June 17. This transit operates mostly in background or undercover. You’ll find you are especially receptive to the vibes and what’s going on around you. Mercury retrograde stirs up emotions, memories, more active dream cycle and the past. Take the time to explore your feelings, pay attention to your emotional and physical sensitivity meter. Turn the good mothering in on yourself. Go gently on yourself. Take quality time out to nurture, nourish, and replenish -self first and foremost. Heal, mediate, read, write, or relax. Too Mercury retrograde can put added attention on a loved one and/or one who needs you.
The solar eclipse in Cancer on June 20/21 (depends on your time zone) also puts added emphasis on your personal interests, requirements, and welfare. Whether the influence is subtle or significant, this eclipse can act as a springboard to unlocking more of your yet untapped inner wealth. It can prompt you to more soul searching regarding your potentials, life purpose, and emotional fulfillment. The next few years will set that destiny on go in some major way. Clear your clutter now.
VIRGO August 22 – September 22
It is time to revise how you show up for it/for yourself, to switch tactic or track, to get yourself better educated and trained. Venus retrograde prompts a rethink on goals and priorities. While it is time to resume everyday life, things have changed. Covid-19 is leaving its mark on the reality base. Call it an acceleration on collective evolution.
Venus tours retrograde to June 17 but continues in Gemini through August 7. This transit gives you an extended time to figure things out and to get yourself better situated – career wise, materially, personally, emotionally. Having said that, this is not the time to drag your heels. Make full use of the time and opportunity you have. Two eclipses, Mercury retrograde, and Jupiter/Pluto want you to get a better handle on today and tomorrow.
Venus aligns with the sun on June 3. This ends a nine-month manifesting track and begins the next phase. The transit also marks the end of an eight to sixteen-year bigger picture evolution. The karmic nature of what you have faced through those years is not to be downplayed. No doubt you have worked your way through some big stuff!
The lunar eclipse in Sagittarius on June 5 also jettisons you onto a significant next page trajectory. You will feel the impact of this eclipse directly if your birthday falls on or near Sept 8 or if you have planets situated at 15 degrees of the mutable signs (Sagittarius, Gemini, Pisces or Virgo). This eclipse is laden with potential, but uncertainty is also in the mix. Watch for something to be exposed or revealed, for a surprise opportunity, to hit the ground running, or to say hello or goodbye. A strong sense of fate or déjà vu is a clue to the importance of today and what it might lead to. Holding potency over a duration of time (weeks, months, years), an eclipse acts a karmic trigger/accelerator. Watch for things to unfold in the week that follows. Sun/Neptune (June 11) and Mars/Neptune (June 12/13) keep things moving along a fluid or guesswork track. While both transits are great for feeling inspired, for creative projects, volunteering, romance, or the spiritual quest, they can also lead you astray or target you where you are weak or vulnerable. Don’t make assumptions or project too far ahead. Guard your health. Stay extra vigilant regarding Covid-19 exposure and regarding everything you do. Mercury in Cancer begins a retrograde tour on June 17. As I’m sure you know, Mercury retrograde is famous for setbacks.
Coinciding with the summer solstice, the solar eclipse in Cancer on June 20/21 sets up a new living with yourself chapter. This eclipse can prompt a new goal or career track, a financial or family status. Too, it can push the reset button on lifestyle choices, political aspirations, and social involvements.
Holding sway from April to November, Jupiter teams up with Pluto in Capricorn on June 29 for the second of three meetings. Each time they meet, they add more information and confirmation; in other words, they add more cement to the reality mix.
LIBRA September 22 - October 22
The future. Can’t stop thinking about it? We are in the clubhouse together. Venus in Gemini and retrograde to June 17, keeps you questioning and searching for better footing. Do you still want to go in the direction you had previously chosen? Whether the answer is yes, no, or maybe, modifications are necessary. There are more considerations and options, and still plenty of unknown terrain to navigate.
As with all retrograde cycles, Venus (to June 24) and Mercury (June 17 to July 12) are good transits for reconnecting, revisiting, revising and resuming. Venus retrograde aligns with the sun on June 3 and in so doing sets go on the next nine-month manifesting phase. Venus is at heightened magnetic potency and gains a fresh energy infusion from this alignment. The sun is operating at greater creative potency as it builds toward the lunar eclipse in Sagittarius on June 5. Use the Venus/sun conjunction to set intention and/or to create. A conversation, meeting, scouting mission, or action taken could hold greater than average potential/prospect. Endings and beginnings are intertwined.
The lunar eclipse also engages Mars in Pisces by dynamic aspect (square). Mars acts as a synthesizing or blending agent. A revealing, exposing, or unleashing transit, there are so many ways that Mars could make its presence known. Watch for something that was on brew but previously hidden from view to surface. To the plus, the eclipse could warehouse great potential. You could tap a wellspring of creativity, inspiration, luck, or opportunity. Have you been struggling with a decision or a situation? This eclipse could ease the pathway for you. It can become easier (or necessary) to surrender to the process, to let go and let God. Watch for circumstances to continue along a fluid track, for more to be reveal or exposed in the following week, especially June 11-14. These dates preceded the start of Mercury retrograde (June 17) so don’t bank on a promise or a projected expectation. Please keep safety and security in mind.
Mercury retrograde in Cancer (June 17 to July 12) puts added attention on home, family, real estate, renovation projects, the past, and on all matters to do with security, safety and health. The second eclipse of the month – a solar eclipse in Cancer – coincides with the summer solstice. You’ll feel the fullest effect of this eclipse if you are born on or near September 22 or have natal planets at the first degree of the cardinal signs (Cancer, Libra, Capricorn, Aries). Endings and beginnings are of greater significance. Most importantly, this eclipse begins a new living with yourself chapter. It is time to give more priority to your own emotional well being.
Hitting the action fresh, Mars enters Aries on June 27. Mars will tenant this sign through the start of 2021. Expect it to fire up your social life, client base, and personal relationships. The transit will prompt a test drive of the new, feistier you. Jupiter teams up with Pluto on June 29 for the second of three meetings that span the year. Both are currently travelling retrograde in Capricorn. Together they are creating a seismic shift regarding consciousness and reality. The world has changed. We will not be going back to more of the same. New collective/global and personal life priorities will continue dictate and overtake yesterday’s world. Rightly they should. We need a better, safer and healthier place to call home.
SCORPIO October 22 - November 21
Venus in Gemini continues in retrograde motion to June 24. June 3 to 5, Venus begins a new or next track. You can feel this transit as an inner-switch trigger, or you can see it play out through events and interactions. Preceding the lunar eclipse in Sagittarius by only 2 days, Venus retrograde conjunct the sun (June 3) sets a potent karmic actualizing, threshold crossing backdrop.
The lunar eclipse on June 5 can act as mobilizing kickstart or as a springboard to a next level. Thanks to Mars in Pisces in dynamic aspect (square), the eclipse can set up an ideal moment when all the various moving parts fall into place beautifully. On the other hand, it could produce a perfect storm. A synthesizing influence, Mars in Pisces is in an exceptionally creative, fertile and opportune position. There may be an element of “give-up-to- get”. Don’t hesitate to relinquish something (or someone) you once cherished. June 11 – 13, sun, Mars and Neptune expose more and/or put more on brew. Please continue to stay vigilant re social distancing and to protect yourself as best you can from Covid-19 exposure. The pandemic is not over- not by a long shot!
June 17 to July 12, Mercury in Cancer travels retrograde. Review and revise as necessary. A look back can help you to gain a fresh perspective on then as well as now and next. Use this transit to step back and to let the world spin without you for a little while. Tend to personal priorities. Put your needs first.
