June 2025 Saturn in Aries

Saturn in Aries: May 24, 2025 – September 1, 2025

Saturn, the task master, will spend the next couple of years in Aries. The last time Saturn visited this sign was 1996 – 1999. The previous transit happened from 1967 -1969. If you were born in the afore mentioned years, you are soon to face your first or second Saturn return. What does that mean? Saturn will have travelled full circle around your natal chart to reconvene (by conjunction) with your natal Saturn. This full circle marks the end of a chapter of your life and the start of new one.

Saturn is the archetype of time and its limits – i.e. timeframe, timespan/lifespan (mortality included). The transit is a ripening, aging, and maturation process.  It is the season of winter for those living in the northern hemisphere, a time of completion before the spring, and the season of summer for those living in the southern hemisphere, a time of reaping the harvest.  Typically, a Saturn transit is experienced as a reality that needs to be faced, as a challenge or a goal that puts ambition to the test. It is one that requires -and rewards – perseverance, pragmatism, and focused effort.

Saturn is considered in its “fall” while on tour in Aries. The planet and the sign do not operate alike. For the most part, they do not share common traits.  Saturn is a planet of limits and limitations.  The sign of Aries is a freedom archetype. Often, a Saturn transit is experienced as a pressure point influence, as restrictive, constrictive, inhibiting, and oppressive. Unlike the sign of Aries, which is a fast-mover archetype, a Saturn transit can slow the pace. It can be experienced as grinding away and labouring through a period of time. Everything takes longer. You can feel forced to bide time. Often, we feel the weight of the burden we carry, of the reality on our shoulders. The transit can deplete energy and exhaust resources.

If what I have written so far raises your concern, know there is a major benefit coming out of this transit. the new Saturn in Aries cycle begins in favourable angle to both Uranus and Pluto. This powerhouse triumvirate will extend through 2025 and the first quarter of 2026.

While one goes slow and the other makes haste, neither Saturn nor Aries are prone toward waste. Both Saturn and Aries are driven toward the meeting of objectives. It is a well directed, singularly focused, sharp arrow transit. Efficient and proficient when it comes to locating the target, Saturn in Aries will not let you miss what is essential to be addressed. This hit nail on the head transit takes the guesswork out of the equation. A Saturnine reality can be sobering, but isn’t it better to get your bearings straight? After so many months of roller coaster uncertainty, I would stay this transit is well timed.

Additionally, Saturn in Aries is situated in a creative opportunity angle to both Uranus and Pluto in Aquarius. Saturn/Pluto is a productive pairing that keeps the reality and its opportunity on a continuously unfolding, move along track. Uranus, planet of discovery, a stimulant archetype, is currently finishing in Taurus and will make its first foray into Gemini from July 9 to November 9. Saturn travels in very close proximity to Neptune for 2025 and 2026. Both planets end tours of Pisces and begin tours of Aries in 2025. Neptune transits Aries from March 30 to October 22. Saturn transits Aries from May 24 to Sept 1. Neptune changes signs every 14 years. Saturn changes signs every two ½ years. When they finally meet on February 20, 2026, it will be the end of a 36-year chapter and the start of a new chapter. This year is both a completion, seeding, and test pilot track for 2026 and beyond. Incorporating the rest of the outer planet sign changes occurring this year and next, it should be obvious by now that we are already in the process of global reset that will leave no stone unturned.

You will feel the fullest effects of the Saturn/Neptune transit if you are born at the end of Pisces, Gemini, Virgo, or Sagittarius, or have planets at the very end of these mutable signs (a transitional, mutational, changing tides influence). The same goes for you if you are born at the start of the cardinal signs (activating, instigating) of Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn or have planets positioned in the early degrees of these signs.
