The past weeks have been a particularly difficult time for many. My heart goes out to those who have suffered sudden and irreplaceable loss (loved ones, homes, and livelihoods). Life is precious, every moment is a fleeting opportunity. Don’t let it slip by you, rise-up to meet it with every fiber of your body, mind, and soul. Extraordinary times call for extraordinary acts of courage. Stand fully present, for yourself, for all.
What can you expect for the month ahead? June opens with the end of Mercury retrograde and the start of Saturn retrograde.
Mercury ends retrograde June 3:
Mercury started its retrograde tour in Gemini but has spent half of the tour in Taurus. Even so, the past few weeks have produced the exact opposite of a bull market. Have you felt slowed down, stuck, entrenched, or immobilized? Mercury ends retrograde in Taurus on June 3. Through mid June, Mercury is in productive alignment (trine) to Pluto. Applied effort can net better than average results. Check in with yourself. What is it that will help you to get it under better control? Are your priorities and boundaries well set? Do they need a revamp? Time is a resource. Don’t waste it, use it to your advantage instead. Direct your attention to better management regarding time, responsibilities, and investments (at all levels, money and heart included). Through the first ten days of the month, Mercury/Pluto also favour matters to do with banking and for official or legal undertakings. (Put June 8 & June 10 to good use. Intentions or ambitions can get you someplace good.)
As of June 13, Mercury advances into Gemini. By June 18, Mercury will surpass the post retrograde shadow phase. Venus turns a corner with Saturn (square) on this same day. Actual or sensed, a wait is over, a block is removed. Time is on the move ahead and you should be too. It is the end of semester for some, the start of the new season for all. June 21 marks the summer solstice for folks in northern hemisphere, the winter solstice for folks in the southern hemisphere. (Considering how the weather has been here, I feel like we’ve somehow skipped a season. How about where you live?) Venus in mobilizing Gemini, starting June 22, puts a positive spin on money matters, negotiations, conversations, social pursuits, and pleasure seeking.
Saturn stations retrograde, June 4:
Just one day after Mercury retrograde ends, Saturn in Aquarius begins a four-month retrograde tour (June 4). The day or few days around it can either stall plans or intentions or remove a barrier. Whether the workings are obvious or not, the turnaround is of significant note. Saturn retrograde shifts the parameters or the perception and judgement patterns of reality. Purposefully, this shift allows for an alternative viewpoint or for something new to filter into consciousness. You can find yourself downloading thoughts and insights, entertaining new ideas, or gaining fresh curiosity. You can find inner resistance grows regarding maintaining the status quo. You may feel increasing restlessness that urges you toward reinvention, shaking things up, or trying something outside of the box. Traditional choices or more of the same don’t cut it as well as they did previously. It can get harder to stuff it/repress. Subtle or visible, your inner rebel can gain more of your attention. To the plus, Saturn retrograde in Aquarius is a time to entertain new possibilities, to experiment more, to innovate, improvise, break out of a rut, and to liberate yourself. Whether you do it in your mind’s eye or take steps to reinvent your reality, this Saturn’s retrograde transit is well used to take a test drive on a new you, or to set the preliminary stage for a new lifestyle. (Start today for tomorrow or for down the road.)
Jupiter & Mars in Aries:
Quite recently, both Jupiter and Mars moved out of Pisces and into Aries. (Jupiter entered Aries on May 9. Mars entered Aries on May 24). Since they have entered Aries, more violence and bloodshed has hit the headlines. On the personal note, both planets aim to speed up the action. Both can assist you to break new ground and to hit the target better. Through July 4, Mars in Aries adds fresh fuel/lights a fresh spark. If something drags you down, it won’t be for long. To the plus, Mars in Aries can set you on a quick bounce-back. One way or another, expect to stay active. It is a good transit for physical fitness and sports. Enthusiasm, initiative, and courage are good fuel to work with, but know that Mars in Aries also holds a propensity for being overly quick on the draw, or for being too quick to risk without a good think through. Fighting spirit can translate to positive initiative (that’s a good thing). On another note, Mars in Aries can find you doing battle with yourself, with a particular issue or an individual. Anger can be positive fuel, especially when it prompts you to advocate for yourself and for positive change. Overall, Mars is in fairly good shape all month, so it is my hope that you will draw from the best of the transit’s motivational attributes. Toward the end of the month, the Mars initiative comes under added pressure or strain. More determination, force, or exertion can be required.
