April

Mars transits Aries, April 9 to May 18;
Mercury transits Aries, April 14 to May 2:

So – when will the Iran war end? The question is now obvious to most. Not anytime soon. Mars enters the war sign of Aries, crossing the world axis degree on April 9. Crossing the world axis and advancing into Aries on April 9, Mercury fast-tracks through Aries from April 14 to May 2 (a somewhat shorter than usual stint for a Mercury transit). The sun continues in Aries to April 19. Pallas Athene, the warrior goddess, is in transit through Aries from April 25 (world axis activation date) to March 8, 2027.

Mars is the planet of action It is also of energy, drive, passion, assertion, anger, and aggression. Mars can instigate, inflame, cut, or sever. When Mars is triggered, it is fast acting or fast burning.

Both Mars and Mercury in Aries can trigger or inflame the conflicts of the day (Mars: attacks, acts of aggression, Mercury: debates, arguments, trade and transport matters).

The weeks of April 12 and April 19 are notable due to both Mars and Mercury on trigger:

Conjunction (New Phase) Aspects:
Mars/Neptune:         April 12
Mercury/Neptune: April 16 (rulers of the lunar nodes, new phase)
Mars/Saturn:             April 19
Mercury/Saturn:     April 20
Mars/Mercury:        April 20

This cluster of transits move from exposure (ignites potentials), to cementing (facing a reality), to a next conversation, avenue, or implementation track. An uncertainty shifts into a reality. (Hopefully  the Mars/Neptune and Mercury/Neptune transits listed creates some political or shipping movement regarding the Strait of Hormuz.) Following this run of stars, Venus (April 23) and Uranus (April 25) advance into the mobilizing sign of Gemini. Both transits bode well for keeping trade and communication tracks, negotiations, trade, merchandise and social trends on the move.

Watch for the weeks of April 12 and 19 to be notably instigating and shaping. The start of the action could hold an element of from nothing to full-on something. Also, as Mars and Mercury transition from Pisces to Aries, there is a potential for something to be exposed, (blindsided-ness, a missing key), for something previously forgotten to surface, for something lost to be found.

To the plus, both Mars and Mercury in Aries set a backdrop for action/activation; for personal initiative, ambition, and independence drives.

How could the Mars transit affect you personally? Through the start of May, Mars stokes fresh instinct, impulse, drive, and desire.  You can find yourself charged up or confronted by a new development, project, ambition, or experience. Mars is an initiatory, assertive, and experiential influence. You may find yourself going for it in some fresh-charge way. You can feel compelled to confront it head on, rip the bandage off, or go your separate ways. As with anything new, an element of risk is in the mix, but that is not a reason to stop. On the other hand, it is a reason to stay alert and up to speed. Stay present with right here and right now, meet the moment head on, but also check-in with yourself often. Pay close attention to your subjective orientation, your instincts, impulses, and triggers. What is it that drives you, excites you, ignites you?

Mercury in Aries is a quick on the ball, sharpshooter influence. When Mercury and Mars team up, they are quick to react. The action, anger, aggression, or volatility can go from zero to a full thrust race-ahead in a split second. Mercury/Saturn and Mercury/Mars join forces on April 20. This planetary cluster (including a new moon in Aries April 17 and the sun entrance into Taurus on April 19) can see a goal post or finish-line line reached. This could be a time of a breakthrough or breakout. Perhaps will see a significant development regarding the Strait of Hormuz.

April 17, New Moon in Aries:

Overall, the second half of the month sets up an opportunity time to surpass what has blocked or thwarted access, and delayed progress. Watch for the last ten days or so of the month to refresh that reset button yet again. The new moon in Aries (April 17) is aligned with Chiron (conjunction). It may not be possible to make a clean cut, or to emerge unscathed, but it is a time to move ahead. Despite the odds or the price, this new moon favours the brave of heart, the maverick, a fresh start, a courageous undertaking/step forward, a freedom bid, a do-it yourself undertaking.

Venus transits Gemini, April 23 to May 18:

Venus in Gemini is a mobilizing influence for matters of money, for trade, commerce, transport, conversations, negotiations. Putting people and money on the move, this transit stimulates market and social trends. Use this transit to make better inroads, get your message out to a wider audience; hire an agent, promote, sell, write proposals and agreements, file your taxes, to deal with paperwork, permits, insurance claims, etc.

Venus lights a fresh spark with Uranus on April 23 (lucrative, social, or creative opportunity). April 28, Venus/Pluto powers-up incentive, enhances potential effectiveness, sway, and magnetic attraction.

**April 23: Uranus enters Gemini**

Uranus spends 7 years in transit through a sign and 84 years in transit through the entire zodiac. On April 25, Uranus will exit Taurus for Gemini. We had a small preview of this transit from July to November of 2025. Uranus only dipped a toe into Gemini, so you may or may not have noticed the mobilization and intensification influence of this transit in your personal life, (disruptive, stress inducing, lifestyle altering, new challenges or opportunities suddenly in play). Here are a few notable headlines from that time: catastrophic floods in Texas, Trump deploys National Guard troops (Washington, Portland, Chicago, LA) but is blocked, Charlie Kirk is assassinated while giving a speech, Hamas releases 20 hostages after reaching a ceasefire agreement with Israel (but the agreement does not hold up).

The last time Uranus was in transit through Gemini was 1941 – 1949. These years encompassed civil wars in China, Greece, and Vietnam, most of WW2 (1939 – 1945), war between Israel and the Arab League, Germany divided into East & West, Korea split into North and South, Pakistan split from India.

As of April 25, Uranus will begin its 7-year tour of Gemini. When Uranus activates it produces an acceleration of circumstances. Unpredictability and reinvention are the hallmarks of Uranus in transit. Uranus can awaken, liberate, excite, surprise, or shock.

The coming years will revolutionize everyday life in a myriad of ways. We are at the brink of so much more to come related to the Uranus/Aquarius archetype: i.e. advances in science and technology, telecommunications and A.I., transportation (land, air, space), education, and climate change. Uranus in Gemini years can widen social divides or bring like-minded souls together. This transit holds incredible potential for the development of the mind, from how it functions and controls our physical body to advances in intelligence. On a consciousness level, think of Uranus in Gemini as a software upgrade -or even a psychic DNA upgrade.  If you are sensitive to energy fields and such, or network technologies, you will notice the effect of Uranus in Gemini.  An increase in psychic or clairvoyant ability is also a potential of this transit.

April 22 to 24, Venus/Uranus (conjunction) can stimulate something fresh (financial/material, social, creative). Watch for Venus into Gemini on April 23 and Uranus into Gemini on April 25 to be mobilizing, perhaps in some instantaneous or sudden sprint way. As of the end of April and into May onward, a new chapter begins, for the world at large, for your personal life too.

A brief recap in closing:

The full moon on April 1 and the week that follows sets a backdrop for better clarity/gives you more to go on.

If you have recently felt directionless, at a loss, stuck, drained, unfocused, or just can’t get the key in the ignition, know that is about to change. Mars leaves Pisces for Aries on April 9. Mercury leaves Pisces for Aries on April 14. Watch for the last ten days of April to set wheels in motion and to offer more diverse options and opportunities. Both Venus in Gemini (starting April 23) and Uranus in Gemini (starting April 25) set a mobilizing backdrop. Start to finish, look to the month ahead to pick up better speed.
