Transiting Chiron in Aries, April 17 2018-April 14, 2027

Chiron’s transit through Aries:

On April 17, 2018, Chiron transited out of Pisces and into Aries. A once in a lifetime transit (- perhaps twice if your stay on the planet is long), Chiron takes 50 years to complete one tour through the 12 signs of the zodiac. If you were born in the years 1968 through 1977, you are coming up to your Chiron return. Those born in the years 1918 -1927 will leave our planet with the imprint of Chiron in Aries. (Barbara Bush has just done so with the transit of the sun exactly over her natal Chiron in Aries).

As you are likely to recognize, the previous transits of Chiron were eventful breakout decades.

The webinar recording is now available for download. (Once you have paid, the link will be forwarded to you.)

Happy Spring!

Mercury in Aries continues retrograde through April 15. Double check, safeguard, stay alert, don’t assume, guard your health, revisit, revise, redo. While the retrograde cycle can produce annoyance, frustration or setbacks, Mercury retrograde has positive attributes too, especially when you use the cycle to get better on board with yourself. If the going gets too rough or too hot to handle, take a step back from the action, even if it is just for a ten-count. The extra breathing space can usher in a fresh insight or perspective, a new avenue or a bit of temporary relief that can only do you good.

Podcast: Guiding Stars, May Overview:

https://rosemarcus.com/wp-content/uploads/Guiding-Stars-May-2018.mp3

On April 2, Mars/Saturn culminate the activation cycle they began in August of 2016. At the same time, they also break ground on the next two-year cementing project which will complete in 2020, a critical year by astrology’s watch, when the yield of what we have been building toward is fully realized and we hit a new ground zero. From now to then, it’s all important, it all add up. No doubt you have a sense of this fact.

Over the first week of the month, Mercury retrograde is on a push-past-it agenda with Mars and Saturn in Capricorn. There is work and working it out to do. It is a productive time for reassessment and/or re=prioritization. If you run up against something you just can’t get past, shift your attention onto something else and let time go to work on it instead. Things can have a way of working themselves out. If they don’t, you’ll will have already have placed yourself at a better vantage point between yourself and the futile struggle.

Mercury retrograde ends on the new moon in Aries on April 15. On April 17, Chiron, the wounded healer archetype, advances into Aries. It hasn’t done that in fifty years. Yes, it’s a big deal. Chiron’s travel through the twelve signs is not uniform. For example, Chiron spends approximately 8 ½ years transiting Aries and under 2 years transiting Libra. Chiron is just finishing off a lengthy tenure in Pisces which launched with the Deep-Water Horizon explosion in the Gulf of Mexico.

2018 provides a temporary introduction to Chiron in Aries. From the end of September to February of 2019, Chiron will take one last tour of Pisces before firmly setting up camp in Aries through 2027. Next month Uranus will enter Taurus for the first time in 84 years. Both transits are major game changers.

On the same day that Chiron enters Aries, Saturn gives way by stationing retrograde. You could feel Chiron in action at a subtle level or at high heat. For 2018/2019, Chiron will only transit a few degrees into Aries. Chiron will make a dynamic aspect with your sun if you are born at the start of each of the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn). Otherwise, you’ll have more prep time before Chiron in Aries comes knocking on your door. Recognize it or not, you have signed up for trailblazing. No matter whether the transit hits you sooner or later, it’s time to warrior up! No pain, no gain? Yes, there can be a price to pay. The transit can hit you where you feel most weak and vulnerable. While Chiron is mainly known for the what it can inflict, there is an upside. It can gift you with a new resource or pathway, something that can fall into the category of exceptional. Any way it gets sliced and diced, Chiron in Aries thrusts the karmic imperative onto a more urgent track. There’s no degree of separation between what is happening “out there” and its impact on our individual lives.

On April 18, the sun aligns with Uranus in Aries by conjunction. Uranus is the ruler of the transiting south node; the sun is the ruler of the transiting north node. When the two combine their resources, they are exceptionally fruitful in terms of setting fresh, important, key, synchronistic, and/or critical dynamics into play.

On April 26, Mars in Capricorn completes a two-year cycle with Pluto and begins a next implementation chapter. This is number six out of seven full-circle cycles for Mars since Pluto began its tour of Capricorn back in 2008. Whether you’ve noticed the trends this planetary pair have set or not, each cycle has added another essential layer to the shaping/cementing of existing reality. There is no ability to turn back the clock, but there is a greater need to make the advancing hour as productive as possible.

The full moon in Scorpio on April 29 is in good shape with Saturn retrograde (sun trine; moon sextile). It can be a lucrative time to recoup, revise your power play, or and/or to get yourself better situated. Even if you are last minute at it, the full moon offers a well-timed wrap-up to the end of tax filing month!

ARIES March 19/20 – April 19

Aries is on a spring clean thanks to the short-term transit of Mercury retrograde in Aries through April 15 and the advance of Chiron into Aries on April 17.  A new reality is setting into play, it is one that will set the baseline for the long haul.

Mercury retrograde provides the opportunity to rethink and to refortify from within. It does so by making things more obvious, by showing you what isn’t as solid or as well built as it should be.

Chiron in Aries, starting April 17 can set new brush-fires or new bonfires. Likely it will be a mix of both. Your warrior self is called to action. Risk is in the mix. You will be tested, but along the way you’ll also recall parts of yourself that have sat on the absentee bench. Have courage, take the initiative, and rebuild – from the ground up if necessary. One of the great gifts of Chiron in Aries is its frontrunner/forerunner status. When it fires up/hits drive/pushes you, it is go time. That’s all you need to know. It will domino from there.

On April 2, Mars in Capricorn aligns with Saturn. Mars/Saturn finish the cycle they began in August of 2016 and start construction on the next two-year project.

There’s a cluster of transits between April 15 and 19. Mercury retrograde ends on a new moon in Aries on April 15.  On April 17, Chiron enters Aries and Saturn in Capricorn stations retrograde. On April 18, the sun and Uranus in Aries conjoin. It’s springboard time! Expect to surpass whatever has been holding you up or back.

A lucrative and productive full moon in Scorpio ends the month on April 29. By that time, you should feel you have something substantial to bank on or to work with.

TAURUS April 19 – May 20

Venus, freshly into Taurus, is in your corner at month’s start. You’ll also receive support and benefit from Mars in Capricorn on a new initiative with Saturn. All three supply you with added resourcefulness while Mercury continues in retrograde.

Has something or someone been running rough shod over you? Taking (or forcing) you through deeper soul searching, Mercury retrograde aims to enrich your insight and perspective. Your next step is to put more distance between you and the pitfalls/the past. Launch yourself any time after Mercury ends retrograde on April 15.

The full moon on April 29 can be transforming, even life-altering, especially so if it is your birthday or your birthday falls within a couple of days either side. To the plus, a much hoped for potential can turn into a reality. When it comes to reinventing yourself or your life, don’t toy with the idea, take a full dive.  Courage well placed will be rewarded.

Next month, we will gain our first exposure to Uranus in Taurus. April is a month to clear the clutter and to psyche yourself up to take full advantage of opportunity when it comes knocking.  Whether actively sought after or thrust upon you, Uranus in Taurus can take you through radical personal and lifestyle invention.

GEMINI May 20 – June 20

Is it time to ditch Facebook? Mercury retrograde, continuing through April 15, takes you through a critical questioning period. Are you heading in the right direction? Do you still want what you have? It is a good time to pull back and take stock, to revamp goals and involvements. As is typical of Mercury retrograde, you’ll re-meet with folks or revisit issues. Perhaps there is one last thing to say or do before you move on. If you can’t wrap it up in a neat bundle, don’t dwell on it. Time is moving forward and so should you.

While you may lose steam for one thing, something else is likely to be gathering a stronger momentum. It will overtake you soon enough, especially so when Chiron fires up in Aries (starting April 17) and Uranus hits Taurus (starting May 15).

Mars ends a chapter and begins a new two-year cycle with Saturn on April 2. On April 26, Mars gains new marching orders from boss Pluto. Both are foundation-setting regarding moving the past forward and cementing the new reality. If you have built it well so far, you will have something substantial to carry you. If you haven’t laid it down well enough, then you’ll be under added pressure to invest more sweat equity. Either way, it is important to get on to task, to take your financial, emotional, physical and psychological wellbeing seriously. Don’t let the limitations or dictates stop you, use them as a grounding tool instead. No matter how small the step, every inch, every action adds up.

Chiron in Aries, starting April 15, can push your refresh button in some dynamic way, if not immediately, then soon enough. It’s an ideal transit for exploring a new lifestyle, career, or income source. Someone special can act as a catalyst.

Venus in Gemini, starting on April 24 mobilizes you at all levels. The transit also increases your personal magnetism, helps you to make better connections and inroads, and enhances opportunity in general. It’s a good transit for making yourself look good, for attention getting, and for trying something or someone new on for size.

April 29 delivers a full moon in Scorpio. Make your power-play, sign the contract, take a deep dive, invest your all. Great gains can be made.

CANCER June 20 – July 22

Wondering how much longer its going to take? Feel like you are reaching a breaking point? Mercury retrograde puts coping skills to the test. The transit can see you do battle with the system, a reality base, a parent, boss, your health, or yourself. At the same time, Mercury retrograde stokes your inner fire. Use the transit to regroup, to take a better look inside yourself.

Your inner warrior will be called to task in an even more significant way once Chiron advances into Aries later this month (April 17). You’ll run up against it if you are born at the start of Cancer, otherwise, Chiron’s transit will take time to get to you. Either way, it can challenge you with something specific from the list of unfinished business. There are bridges to burn and bridges to build. Chiron’s transit will make the karmic work more obvious.

April 2, Mars and Saturn complete the manifesting cycle that was begun in August of 2016 and begins their next make-it-real project. Mars in Capricorn also begins a new activation cycle with Pluto on April 26. You are now moving onto the final stretch of a lengthy obstacle course that will complete in 2020. There is no choice but to chip away at the workload. Venus in Taurus provides good assistance, especially April 7 and 11. Also offering you added background support: the end of Mercury retrograde on April 15; Saturn’s turn to retrograde on April 17; the sun’s entrance into Taurus on April 19; the full moon in Scorpio on April 29. No matter how limited or restricted you are, you will get through it.

While Chiron in Aries can present new challenges, it will also supply you with fresh fuel. You will feel Chiron’s burn rubber impact if you are born on or near June 20. Otherwise, the transit can take a length of time before it gets to you. If you are born on or just before July 22, then you will be directly influenced by Uranus in some shake, rattle, and roll through the middle of May.

If you are fighting your way through a difficult passage, know that radical change is not to be feared but welcomed. Once Uranus treks into Taurus (as of the middle of May) you can come to appreciate this fact. The full moon in Scorpio on April 29 can offer some reprieve. Put determination, creativity, and intuitive smarts into play and use the full moon to your advantage as best you can. You can see good results.

LEO July 22 – August 22

As is typical of Mercury retrograde, it’s a good time to review, revisit, reconnect, or revise. Another look/see, more research, or trial run can give you a lot more to go on. The transit can take you through a soul-searching time or it can light a creative spark. More time to yourself to think, feel, or study can only do you good. It’s also a good transit to resume writing project or a physical fitness regime, to travel, or undertake marketing upgrades.

Over the hump, Mars in Capricorn finishes up with Saturn on April 2 and set a new agenda into play. There’s something to push past in the first week of the month. Perseverance pays off.

Mercury ends retrograde on the new moon of April 15. The days that follow hold plenty of planetary action. April 16 and 17, Venus in Taurus pumps it up with Jupiter (opposition) and Pluto (trine). Also, on April 17, Chiron treks into Aries and Saturn stations retrograde. On April 18, the sun strikes flint with Uranus. Anything goes! Expect for something major or substantial to set a new trend or pace. It could be a matter of something removed or scaled down that allows for something new to come in or overtake the lead. An eventful moment can show up in a flash; the effect can be lasting.  Money, relationships, social action, trends, and politics hit high gear.

Venus and the sun in Taurus enhance your reputation and career prospects. They also put you in favour with those in charge. Venus in Gemini, starting April 24, continues to benefit you financially and socially.

The full moon in Scorpio on April 29 can see a successful wrap-up or a great start to a training program, a lifestyle change, a work project, home renovation, real estate transaction, or some other financial contract.

VIRGO August 22 – September 22

While Mercury continues in retrograde you can find yourself doing more than the usual looking back. Try not to get caught up in the regret or loss. Instead, aim to use this time of reflection to rebuild your ambition and sense of I deserve. Emotional and financial reserves can need replenishment too.

You should find you are better able to focus and to dedicate yourself more consistently as Mars and Saturn start pooling their resources (as of April 2). Mercury retrograde on the move in this first week of April will force you to push past whatever or whom-ever is standing your way (including a limited or negative mind set.)

The middle of the month is action packed. The domino starts with the end of Mercury retrograde on April 15. Venus in Taurus is on a mobilizing track with Jupiter and Pluto on April 16, 17. Chiron into Aries fires-up a new initiative on April 17. Saturn’s turn to retrograde on the same day allows for a major shift of consciousness. Over time you’ll come to judge yourself, your reality, and what’s appropriate for you through a new lens. As this happens, you’ll start to attract in a new way too. Chiron is a lengthy transit, so even if something changes overnight, it’s a long-haul navigation track. Setting the optimum conditions for a breakthrough, Sun/Uranus conjoin on April 18. On April 19, the sun treks into Taurus. It’s an opportunity and confidence building transit for your sign. April 25 marks another Mercury/Saturn past the post. April 26, Mars and Pluto hit a finish-line and launch their next two-year agenda. The full moon in Scorpio on April 29 is accompanied by Sun/Saturn on a goal reaching or success generating track. It can generate results, bring acknowledgement, reward, or cement a decision, contract, or a course of action. By the end of the month, you should feel you have accomplished something of significance, that you have something substantial to go on and to work toward.

LIBRA September 22 - October 22

As is typical of Mercury retrograde, expect to re-meet folks you haven’t seen in awhile. Perhaps there’s an opportunity to revisit a conversation, a project, plan, etc. that has been left unfinished. Mars/Saturn (April 2) and Mars/Pluto (April 26) are good for wrap-ups. Whether is a consciousness or something actual, both transits mark an official end or goal reached, and the launch of a next phase.

The big news this month is Chiron’s exit out of Pisces and into Aries on April 17, a transit we haven’t seen since the 1970’s.

For the past 8 years, Chiron has been transiting Pisces, which has targeted critical karmic issues that have likely kept you “swimming in the deep end” of an emotional journey. Chiron in Aries will now bring new elements into play. The transit aims to speed up the process of representing yourself in some new format. The transit challenges you to navigate your way through relationships, social and personal, with greater initiative and better to the chase.  Chiron is only a temporary visitor to Aries in 2018. It will finish up the last bits and pieces of Pisces later this year and into the start of 2019. Suffice to say, you will be solidly transplanted into a whole new reality soon enough. Also, on April 17, Saturn begins a four-month retrograde cycle. Essentially, Saturn is giving way so that a new consciousness, a new relationship proto-type, and a new lifestyle foundation can be laid. More experimentation and risk-taking is in the mix. Are you up for it? Whether you are aware of the fact or not, most certainly you are.  April 18, Sun/Uranus can set karmic synchronicity into play in some exceptional way.

April 29 delivers a full moon in Scorpio while sun and Saturn commune by trine aspect. Professional recognition can come your way. It’s an excellent time to cement it, sign it and/or make it official.

SCORPIO October 22 - November 21

While Mercury continues in retrograde (through April 15) you are wise to pump up on vitamins and other good-for-you activities. One way or another, the retrograde can put you to work, but ultimately the transit aims to help you correct, fix, heal, upgrade, or improve. Get it handled sooner rather than later. Make sure to double check. Don’t hesitate to ask more questions.

Mars and Saturn are on a completion track as of April 2. They also set the foundation for the next two-year cycle. As such it is a good time to make it official, to end or renew a contract, a lease, agreement or professional association (with an agent, lawyer, advisor, or specialist). Aim to upgrade your professional profile, beef up your website, add another accreditation to your name, or to build a stronger, more noticeable presence in the marketplace.

Mercury ends retrograde on the new moon in Aries on April 15. This gives the green light to start or shoot for a new job or project. The days that follow can set a new reality into play thanks to Saturn giving way (turning retrograde) on April 17, the same day that Chiron advance into Aries. On April 18, the sun strikes flint with Uranus, supplying fresh fuel to the opportunities and trends that have already been building momentum. It could be a news worthy week. When you see opportunity in the making, jump on it fast. On the other hand, the unexpected can be challenging, especially regarding work or health. Don’t take unnecessary risks with sharp instruments, equipment, or volatile moments and please put added safety measures in place regarding physical wellbeing, data, or transportation.

April 26, Mars and Pluto begin a new two-year build-on-it agenda. The full moon on April 29 can be success generating, especially so for if you are born on or near November 1.

SAGITTARIUS November 21 – December 21

While Mercury continues in retrograde, your health or an issue with a loved one can start to extract a heavier toll. Take a break if you need it! The retrograde cycle is also good for resuming a project or an exercise routine that may have fallen by the wayside.

Mars completes with Saturn on April 2 and with Pluto on April 26. Both these dates mark a completion of note and the start of a next phase, (official, actual or karmic.) It seems you’ll be settling into it for some time to come. It can be a good thing when it provides you with good security. It can be difficult reality if you feel locked in or restricted. Either way, these transits are laying a more substantial foundation from which to build. You have more stamina and more staying power than you may fully realize. Continue to make the most of what you have to work with – it will add up.

Chiron’s advance into Aries on April 17 sets you/your life/your loved ones apart in some extraordinary way. You are different, it is different, they are different. We are living in exceptional times and there is nothing ordinary about what is on the road ahead either. The reality is as opportune as it is challenging. It is for you to heed the call and to be a trailblazer on behalf of yourself, those you love, and those you serve.

Finishing the month on a potentially lucrative, success generating note, the full moon in Scorpio on April 29 is accompanied by the sun’s trine to Saturn. It’s well timed for signing a contract or cementing a relationship. You can reach a goal, milestone, or anniversary.  Official recognition or acknowledgment can come your way.

CAPRICORN December 21 - January 20

Mercury in Aries is on a backtrack through April 15, but Mars in Capricorn is on an forge ahead agenda – with Saturn on April 2 and with Pluto on April 26. Both transits bring you to a finish line and a fresh start.  You can feel these transits as crossing a definitive line in the sand. Put the past behind you or to use it as a springboard. Either way, you are on the move-along.

Mercury retrograde acts as a short-term, heat-it-up element. Chiron’s advance into Aries on April 17 aims at a bigger picture undertaking. Saturn in Capricorn turns retrograde on same day that Chiron advances into Aries. Together, they act as a “take the brakes off it” influence. On April 18, the sun strikes it hot with Uranus in Aries. What is meant to be will burst forth. Expect to see more action out there in the world and regarding private life matters too. Mercury, Chiron, sun and Uranus in Aries keeps the action going strong regarding home, real estate, and family. Sun/Uranus can inflame it or fire it up quick.  If it’s too hot to handle, remove yourself temporarily. Nothing productive is achieved in the heat of the moment. On the other hand, there could be some reason to act fast, perhaps for a not to be missed opportunity.

April 29 delivers a full moon in Scorpio with the sun in trine to Saturn. It can bring the month to a successful or lucrative finish. You can feel you have achieved something of significance. Perhaps there is a contract to sign, something to make official, or a special event or occasion to celebrate.

AQUARIUS January 20 – February 18/19

As is typical of Mercury retrograde, plans, or ideas can change. The focus or conversation can too.  The cycle takes you through an important review and rethink. Don’t assume you are up to speed, you may not be. If you aren’t, you’ll be in the know soon enough. Mars sets the next phase into play with Saturn on April 2. Mercury retrograde confers with Mars on April 4 and Saturn on April 5. These transits can see you surpass a visible or invisible road block.

Mercury ends retrograde on the new moon in Aries on April 15. Venus on the move over the days that follow puts everything on the increase. More brakes come off, more road blocks fall by the wayside as Chiron enters Aries and Saturn stations retrograde on April 17. Chiron in Aries can introduce new ideas, avenues, opportunity, or people. It can also set new brush-fires. Sun conjunct Uranus on April 18 adds extra turbo. One way or another, it should prove to be an eventful week.

April 24, Mars in Capricorn joins forces with Pluto. This planetary pairing serves to refortify and strengthen from within. Hidden elements at play; they are conspiring on your behalf.

The full moon in Scorpio on April 29 is well supported by Saturn (in trine to the sun; sextile the moon). It could mark a career high or an important decision-making, or powerplay time.  Someone important to you could act a catalyst or be a newsmaker.

To recap, most of what happens in April is stage setting. As of mid May, Mars will enter Aquarius and Uranus, your ruler, will enter Taurus. Both are major instigators of change (Chiron in Aries is too). I’ll fill you in more later, but for now know that a radical fresh page is soon to be turned. Due to its retrograde cycle (end of June through end of August), Mars will keep firing it up Aquarius all the way through November!  Maybe you have a sense of what’s on the way, maybe you don’t. Either way, most of it will require increased risk-taking, and ingenuity. Take it moment to moment. Cross the bridge when you come to it!

PISCES February 18/19 to March 19/20

Worrying about the future? About your money? About someone important to you? Mercury retrograde can keep you caught up or swept up. Worry isn’t going to do you any good, but a check-in with yourself can.  While Mercury continues in retrograde, explore all options. It’s a good transit for getting back in touch with folks – and with yourself. Give a creative project more of your time.

April 2, Mars conjunct Saturn can see a goal, potential, mind set, or reality shape up in some definitive way. You’ll continue to work it out for the rest of the month. By the time you get to the Mars conjunct Pluto aspect on April 26 and the full moon in Pisces on April 29, you should feel you are getting a good grip on it, or that you have made it to another well-timed finish line.

Mercury ends retrograde in Aries on April 15, but there’s still plenty more burning rubber to get through, especially from Chiron’s 2018 trek into Aries, starting April 17. Saturn’s turn to retrograde on the same day gives Chiron the leeway to tackle what it needs to. The transit aims to speed up the process of getting you/us to where you/we need to be. The sun’s conjunction with Uranus on April 18 sets the optimum backdrop for a breakthrough or a fresh infusion.

The full moon in Scorpio on April 29 gains from Saturn’s support to both the sun (trine) and moon (sextile). It’s can a time of successful undertakings; a time to shine, to cash in, take a trip (business or pleasure), relocate, go scouting, to attend an event, or to make a powerplay. Too, the full moon could deliver news. It could bring something lucrative and opportune.
