What a difference a day (or a decision) can make. Politics, economics (stocks, investments, employment issues), sports, and weather extremes – October has ended, and November begins on an eventful note. The first few days of November keep the action in full swing, thanks to the advances of both Mercury (October 29) and Mars (November 4) into Sagittarius (a sign associated with expansion and increase). Additionally, the energy of a super full moon in Taurus (November 5) is on the build. Another event-packed month is upon us.
Super Full Moon in Taurus, November 5:
The super full moon in Taurus puts the focus on money/economics, and survival (at all levels – physical, material, emotional, and spiritual. Sexual matters/involvements, and mental, physical, emotional and reproductive health can also be of added concern.) You can find yourself at a critical evaluation threshold. Is it worth it? Will it hold its value, enrich me, or provide benefit over time? Is there merit in staying the course? Answers may come through circumstances or deeper soul searching. Preceding the full moon, Mars and Neptune in trine aspect (November 3), can energize potentials, inspiration, and hope. To the plus, this Mars/Neptune transit can be one of ease and of going with the flow. On the other hand, the transit can be one of wishful thinking or inflated expectations. (Under this transit, it is easy to sold by advertising, or duped by personal desires). While Mars/Neptune can produce a smooth-running go, it is important to stay alert and not to let the opportune moment slip.
Mars/Neptune is a fleeting transit. It is replaced the very next day (November 4) by Mars on a sign change (to Sagittarius) and in opposition to Uranus. This flint-strike planetary pairing could produce sudden mobilization, escalation, or volatility. We’ll see the impact via people, new conversations, and decision makers on the go; money matters, social trends, and political action too. November 4, 5 could be significant news days, perhaps for the stalled trade talks between Canada and the USA, regarding Canada’s reading of the new budget (November 4), and regarding the USA government shut down. Noting that the Mars/Uranus opposition coincides with the super full moon (November 5), there is also a potential for notable weather or geophysical activity.
Most importantly, this super full moon can serve as a catalyst for a breakthrough regarding tunnel vision, a stalemate or stuck position, a silence, a limited perspective or situation. It can be a catalyst to assist you to stop an addiction or to break self undermining patterns. When/if the breakthrough happens, a new creative development chapter begins, one that points the way toward new avenues and opportunities. In turn this can set you on the road to implementation of new strategies that can set you up for both short-term and long-term success.
Uranus Retrograde Revisits Taurus, November 7 (to February 3, 2026)
Just two days after the super full moon, Uranus retrogrades back into Taurus. It will remain in retrograde until February 3, then resume direct motion through Taurus until April 25, 2026. At the end of April, Uranus will begin its seven-year transit through Gemini. These years will bring significant lifestyle changes for all. History will note these years as signature times for major advances in technology, science, artificial intelligence, cryptocurrency, communication, education, and transportation.
Back to the present transit: Uranus retrograde in Taurus offers an opportunity to relate and to reassess from a fresh perspective. It can awaken dormant feelings or patterns. This transit prompts instincts, heart, and mind to engage in a new dialogue. Clarity and opportunity can be clouded by stress inducing emotions, but when these can be moved aside, intuition and heart speak become more accessible. Uranus retrograde allows you to do exact that, to tune in/listen to a different broadcast.
Jupiter Retrograde in Cancer: November 11 – March 10, 2025
Jupiter spends approximately one year in each zodiac sign, revisiting the same area of your chart every 12 years. Think back 12 years and you may gain insight into past personal growth cycles and charting of life circumstances that may have some relatability to now. (6 years can mark turning points/relevant too).
Jupiter on tour through Cancer increases attention on home, real estate, family, and the past. Comfort zones, nurturance, nourishment, safety, and security (emotional, material, physical) gain more attention too.
Starting November 11, Jupiter begins a four-month retrograde tour. Jupiter retrograde in Cancer encourages a greater focus on self care first, on what truly nourishes and supports you. Jupiter retrograde is a time to prioritize your own well being, to spend less time worrying about the things you cannot control and investing more quality time on your personal life, on your health (emotional, physical), and also on the relationships that matter to you the most. This transit is favorable for creative writing, self-care, soul searching, healing, and strengthening bonds with loved ones. For the entire month of November, Jupiter and Saturn continue in harmonious angle (trine). This planetary pairing sets an optimum backdrop for making the most of your time and for nurturing personal ambitions along.
Mercury Retrograde: November 9 to 29
Mercury begins its retrograde in Sagittarius on November 9, then moves back into Scorpio on November 18. Mercury completes retrograde in Scorpio on November 29. It will re-enter Sagittarius on December 14. The typical Mercury retrograde advice is worth noting: double-check information, ask questions, and remain flexible with plans and expectations. Mercury retrograde is put to good use to re-evaluate, research, or to spend more time soul-searching. It is also a good time for short trips, for picking up where you left off, or for projects that require more attention, reworking, or reconsideration. A short trip or get-away is okay to undertake but know that travel delays are common at the start of the cycle, so aim to put added flexibility into the schedule or plan, and to allow yourself extra time for whatever may crop up.
Keep an eye on November 18, 19. On November 18, Mercury retrograde backtracks into Scorpio. On November 19, Mercury retrograde opposes Uranus. Whether timely or necessary, these dates could shift the action, momentum, or circumstance. Mercury/Uranus could trigger something unexpected, insightful, informing, or opportune. The aforementioned transits coincides with the new moon in Scorpio (November 19) and the sun/Mercury conjunction (November 20). Overall, November 16 to 22 should prove to be a productive week with stars setting the clock to good timing.
Last Two Weeks of November:
Overall, the final two weeks of November hosts a good run of stars. The sun/Saturn trine on November 16 is followed by a grand water trine involving Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune. All three planets are slow moving. This allows more time for grand trine to be operational and for you to benefit from its ease, flow, and synchronicity. Planet Mercury stimulates this trine from November 20 to 24. Venus in Scorpio stimulates the trine from November 24 to 27. This grand trine activation orchestrates an optimizing backdrop for making the most of it – for connecting, relating, bonding, sharing, and profiting. Saturn ends retrograde on November 27, Mercury ends retrograde on November 29, and Venus enters Sagittarius on November 30 (likely another major travel or shopping weekend). Overall, start to finish, November is a full to the brim month. Stay alert to opportunity.
Happy Thanksgiving to those celebrating the holiday!
