Here is a briefing on the astrology for the USA election. Disclaimer: I have picked out triggers to mention and have tried to present the astrology in an unbiased way. I do not mean to offend anyone who is hoping for a Trump win. Elections are always hard to predict and this one is the closest in history. Yes, it could go either way. There are many ways to respond to any single planetary influence.
Election Day Chart:
The moon tours Capricorn on November 5 and ends the day at a karmic crossroads intersection. (The moon in Capricorn is befitting for an election as it is a judgment day archetype.) Mars starts the day in Cancer and finishes in Leo. Mars in Cancer, an edgy emotional transit, can keep the nail-biting going. While there will still be more tallying to do (and the electoral college vote to get through), by the time the polls close on election day, Mars in Leo suggests the front runner and their supporters will feel confident enough to celebrate. Elections are often hard to call. The astrology of November 5 does not give an obvious indication, but noting the transits of Saturn and Neptune in Pisces, the results could prove to be that of “didn’t see this coming”.
The inauguration chart of January 20, 2025, may provide a better clue.
The sun/moon angle for the Inauguration chart is in the Disseminating Lunar Phase. This is a forward-looking, future oriented archetype. The angle of the Libra moon to Mercury in Capricorn is on a next page/shift gears track. (Mercury is the ruler of the karmic south node.) The sun in Aquarius is in close aspect (balsamic angle) to Pluto in Aquarius. This sun/Pluto aspect marks the day as one that is planting seeds for the future. Taurus is the ruler of the ascendant of the chart. Its ruler, Venus, is in Pisces and in new angle (new phase conjunction) with Saturn in Pisces. (Uranus will end its retrograde tour in Taurus ten days later.) The dispositor for both Venus and Saturn is Neptune, which is strongly placed in its own sign of Pisces and in a culmination and fruition angle to the karmic axis north node in Pisces. The Pisces archetype is one of mass consciousness, of collective attunement. This Pisces grouping (Saturn, Venus, Neptune, and the north node in Pisces) suggests an acceleration track for tapping the hidden wealth of potential that is on brew but that has not yet surfaced into full view.
The retrograde influences of this inauguration chart (Uranus, Jupiter, Mars, Sedna) are individuation influences. They offer the opportunity to review something from the past, but to make new choices.
(My prediction for a Harris win was wrong. I applaud my colleagues who predicted the Trump win.)
In my opinion, the inauguration chart elevates Venus as the choice public servant candidate, which (in my opinion) aligns best with Kamala Harris’s chart. Kamala’s Chiron in Pisces, has already in play through her nomination by default. Chiron is a destiny-comes-calling, or “chosen-one” archetype. The wounded healer/unwitting healer archetype signs her up for a special mission. Typically, the Chiron archetype carries a handicap or deficit. She was the most expedient choice but not the top choice for many folks. Fate placed her into position, a role she was destined to take on. This is a demonstration how Chiron signs the individual up to perform as is required on behalf of the whole. (Sometimes Chiron does this from a wounded position, playing a caustic role, or from a saviour and sacrificial position and often gaining battle scars along the actualization process.) Chiron, a soul path archetype, always shows up when it is called to do so. While (in my estimation), she underplayed her role as Vice President, (in general, she did not make her presence well known), she is one not to be overlooked or under-estimated. If Harris does succeed, I believe she will gain traction as a strong leader. (At the end of 2025, her progressed moon leaves Cancer for Leo, a leadership sign.)
Natal charts: Both Trump and Harris were born with their sun and moon in the Gibbous Lunar Phase. (Trump’s Sun/Moon: Gemini/Sagittarius; Harris: Libra/Aries). See charts below:
By progression (chart below), Trump is moving through a Crescent Moon Phase (May 2023- June 2027). A crescent moon phase is one of a struggle, which (despite all) has been displayed throughout his campaign.
On November 5, Trump’s progressed moon position is in a building, but not yet at a full peak square to Pluto. It is in tighter angle at the time of inauguration, January 20, 2025.
Kamala Harris is currently working under a lunar Full Phase progression. The Full Phase focuses on self discovery through the realm of relationships (the public included), of developing greater social definition and understanding within the roles one plays. It is a phase that prompts more active social participation and integration, of learning the ropes regarding how to function within the social context. The intention for a full phase cycle is to develop a more objective awareness of the world around you. By December 7, 2026, Harris’s lunar phase will progress to the Disseminating lunar phase. This is one of leadership. (It is also a visionary archetype, one who tends to stay a step ahead of the curve.) By the start of December of 2025, Harris’s progressed moon will advance into Leo (also a leadership archetype). While the Full Phase is also one of competing personal needs, social competition and polarization, this progressed moon activity (by sign change and phase change) could play out in one way or another. It could an indication for Harris to have better prospects for an election win, but on the other hand, pits her against the social interests. (Please note, there are many other indicators to assess. Trump also has a number of transits supporting his chart, which is reflected by his amazingly strong and loyal following, and the current neck-and-neck polls).
Here are both candidates with the transits for the Nov 5 election (outer most wheel):
At a glance, Trump’s 10th house transits appear to hold strength and sway: Uranus retrograde on the MC, Jupiter (planet of increase) retrograde in Gemini. To be sure, Trump has served well in his role as disruptor (Uranus archetype). Win or lose, that Uranus on the MC will continue to stir up controversy, chaos, and volatility.
Looking ahead briefly, the Mars transit (in retrograde from December 6 to February 23), extends challenge to Trump’s Saturn through the start of April (conjunction to Saturn in Cancer). The total lunar eclipse across the Virgo/Pisces axis is in critical angle (square) to Trump’s luminaries (square to both his sun and moon) and progressed Uranus. The transit of Saturn in Pisces in square aspect to his sun/moon opposition suggests March as a difficult month for the Donald.
By comparison, Harris’s 10th house receives Saturn and Neptune retrograde in Pisces (both are considered malefics). At a glance, these 10th house transits can suggest Trump with the edge, but while they have kept Trump operating as a significant contender, standing alone, they do not guarantee success.
Here again are the charts for Inauguration Day (Jan 20, 2025). Note the transit action in Kamala’s 10th house (Venus/Saturn new phase; Neptune/north node culminating). Pisces is a fame generating archetype. Venus/Saturn new phase in the 10th house could certainly be a signature for the first biracial female president.
November 6, 2025: Trump has been called as the winner. Perhaps my mention for the November 5 election chart of “didn’t see this coming” relates to the strong lead Trump had maintained from the start. Please forgive me for getting it wrong!
Pisces is a signature of the collective voice, and it has spoken. The world now watches and waits.
