The Audacity of Hope - A Trump Card for the Collective:

When Chiron is activated by transit and natal chart contact, key destiny unfolds. Chiron’s balsamic conjunction to Obama’s Aquarius Ascendant pegs him as the Chosen One. The transit of the South Node on Obama’s Sun is indicative of a fruition and relive signature, we evolutionary astrologers believe that Obama is a reincarnation of a prominent figure of US political history and that he is resuming his unfinished work from a previous lifetime.

While he is a political candidate for the US, the world looks with interest and expectation, sensing that he will be an important spokesman for a collective standing now at a precarious crossroad. Obama’s early and present life circumstances, political platform, and intention for governing his country represent the key concept of emancipation, which is in keeping with where the collective is headed. On the other hand, McCain’s life experience and political platform, symbolically represents the glorification of the victim. While admirable, his war hero status says nothing about how well he can run a country. The glorification of sacrifice, restraint, obligation and indebtedness, which perpetuates submission, is in keeping with old distorted paradigms (of the Age of Pisces - suffering and penance as the primary vehicle for growth and evolution). That we now exist at a time of major restructuring of reality is obvious. The audacity of hope harnessed for the greater good is what will bridge the gap between our past and our future.

November Overview:

Life is about to be altered, drastically so for some. The strong hand of fate now steers the course with a more dynamic force. We stand at a key threshold not only in our individual lives, but collectively too. While free will is always our gift for the choosing, it is also easily and sometimes unwittingly, squandered through tunnel vision, apathy, or through resistance to facing inevitable truths. Canada has just made federal election history by its dismal voter turnout, the lowest ever recorded. I hope that the US public will not recreate such a tragic loss of opportunity.

November 4 is a key date, not only because it is the US election date, but also because it is the first of four meetings of planets Saturn and Uranus by opposition. Together, they radically change lifestyles and serve to advance the collective through an accelerated social restructuring cycle. No stone is left unturned. (Note the following intensification dates for this Saturn/Uranus cycle: Nov 4, 2008, Feb. 5, Sept 15, April 27, 2010 in Virgo/Pisces; July 27, 2010 in Libra/Aries.)

There are three key points to make regarding this planetary pairing. Firstly, the liabilities of the past are the determinant that now shapes the future. Note as examples - the current economic crisis and the impact of global warming on our everyday existence. Secondly, while the past may hold the key to our future, the stark reality is that there is no turning back now. We cannot lean back nor can we fall back, the support post can no longer carry the weight. Each step forward is irrevocable. Lastly, for those who need change but don’t know where to look for it, fear not, it will find you.

November 1 and 2 can bring clarity and time for action or risk taking. Along with the Saturn/Uranus opposition, Mercury advances into Scorpio at 7:52 am PST Nov 4 suggesting political change is imminent for the US people. This emotionally day could become quite volatile, not only on Wall Street, but also (more dangerously) on Main Street. With Mars in Scorpio squaring Neptune in Aquarius, the potential of extreme havoc, criminal activity, violence, rioting (or even terrorist activity) is possible. Watch for other goings on in the world to capture our attention too. When Mars squares Neptune, we can be easily taken by surprise. We don’t see the obvious, or we don’t see it coming until it is too late. Mars square Neptune can also be a lost opportunity - or an attempt to avoid a lost opportunity which can prompt major (and sometimes foolish) risk taking. The Full moon November 12 can be productive for creating a dramatic turnaround and/or for gaining more solid ground.

Pluto’s 14-year tour of Sagittarius ends on Nov 26. This is a major astrological milestone, as we will not see Pluto in Sagittarius again in our lifetime (in fact it will not return to this sign for another 248 years.) Pluto will spend the next 18 years in the sign of Capricorn. Antithetical to the largess of Sagittarius’ influence, Capricorn is a sign of tightening of belts. We’ll see the world around us shrink, not expand.

Key dates: Nov 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 11 - 13, 14, 15, 23 - 26, 28, 29

ARIES (MARCH 20 - APRIL 19)

Things are about to get a lot busier. Saturn and Uranus are set to break you out of a rut. Your everyday reality will undergo a radical transformation. You could change the type of work you do or the way you do it. This planetary pairing can bring the opportunity to specialize and stand out in your field; education upgrades can place you at advantage. Mars in Scorpio (to Nov 16) puts the focus on financial improvement and relationship empowerment. Investigate all avenues and options; intensify the money chase, rearranging finances, revamp agreements. Intimate relationships can sizzle while Mars tours Scorpio and can be a source of great joy while Mars tours Sagittarius (Nov 17 through Dec 26.) Conversely, Mars in Scorpio can empower you to set yourself free, once and for all. Lucrative potentials and optimism abounds as Venus leaves Sagittarius on the Full moon Nov 12, while Mars enters Sagittarius from Nov 17 through Dec 26. Both these planetary energies expand your professional notoriety, travels (body, mind, or soul) and potentials re money and love. Pluto’s entrance into Capricorn can bring a time of ripening. You could feel challenged to prove your authority in no uncertain terms. Relationships with bosses, parents or other VIPS can be radically altered. Those born around March 20 will get the full effects of Pluto’s entrance into Capricorn now. November 1, 2 are great put-it-together days. The manifesting and fertile Full moon Nov 12 could solidify financial or romantic matters. Nov 1, 2, 10, 15, 29 and 30 are fruitful dates for just about any undertaking.

TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)

Partnerships or cooperative ventures can make a surprising turnaround thanks to Mars and Uranus in harmony at month’s start. Then again, if it’s time to go your separate ways, the parting should be easier to do now than at other times. Some things can be out of your control, of course, but don’t let financial matters escalate too far out of hand. Your social network is set to expand in ways you didn’t expect. Jupiter and Saturn are in harmony throughout the month, so much can fall into place with very little effort or strain. Beyond a great social event, the opportune Full moon in Scorpio Nov 12 could bring groundbreaking news or open some important door. Pluto’s entrance into Capricorn is an empowering influence. It can provide opportunity to legitimize yourself through education, or through professional advance. For some, Pluto in Capricorn can bring the marriage, or relocation. To be sure, a better quality of life is possible. Future prospects will begin to take more solid shape.

GEMINI (May 20 - June 20)

Don’t just think about it, do it! The Saturn/Uranus opposition cycle can take you out of a career or home life stalemate. You only live once! Is there something you have always wanted to try but have held back on? Now is the time to risk a completely new career, industriousness will net a payoff of significance. Relocate for better opportunity; a stimulating new life can be waiting for you too. This Saturn/Uranus transit is particularly intense for those born around June 9, give or take a couple of days. Government regulations, accreditation, licensing, or other legal issues could also occupy priority attention. So too, you could find yourself busied/challenged by changing relationships with family members and the critical transitions of aging parents. Make sure your status (professional, personal, financial inheritance) is legally secure, or that you can get out of contracts or arrangements should the unexpected occur. Does your insurance cover everything it should? It could be wise to get disability insurance for the added security. Pluto’s entrance into Capricorn could start you on a recovery cycle of great significance. This can be an exceptionally positive influence for those wanting to quit addictions or other self-sabotaging ways. If you are born around June 21, you will probably feel great relief as Pluto leaves Sagittarius. For all Gemini’s, Pluto’s advance into Capricorn puts added focus on establishing better material and emotional security. This planetary advance will force you to establish better boundaries, anchors, self-autonomy, and self-reliance. While you may initially feel like you are buckled under, Pluto in Capricorn is set to teach you how to build better control in your life. Self-employment could be more viable for you now. The full moon Nov 12 can bring information, revelation, confirmation, or a time to set the record straight.

CANCER (June 22 - July 22)

Synchronicity conspires on your behalf this month, thanks to the Saturn/Uranus “fresh juice” opposition. Link up, team up; for the most part, your people connections are very good. Tradeshows advertising campaigns and other sales ventures can be lucrative. Call in a favor or ask around when you need something. You never know where a simple inquiry or curiosity can lead. The full moon Nov 12 can be especially inspiring, entertaining, lucrative, or fortuitous. Mars in Scorpio and Venus in Capricorn now intensify the magnetic vibration around you, suggesting you can enjoy an abundant attraction cycle. (People could “hit” on you.) A new passion or romantic interest is likely to strike a deep cord right from the get-go. The Saturn/Uranus opposition could also put you on a sudden move. You could make significant personal discoveries or receive information that can alter everything - perhaps in a flash. Sun and Mars in Scorpio are empowering, Nov 1, 2, 10 - 15. Once As the month advances, your days will get even fuller. Pluto’s advance into Capricorn will be felt quite dramatically for those born around June 22. A significant relationship, partnership, or income stream could end or begin. It may be time to come to terms with the fact that you can’t turn back the clock. The new moon Nov 27 could bring a new job, or busy you with studies, a new health chapter, or some other cherished goal. Put your all into it, nothing less will do.

LEO (July 23 - Aug. 22)

Scorpio month is always a time to review and revamp. Are you where you want to be? If not, what changes do you need to make in order to firm things up for yourself? Family, real estate investments or home-related matters can seem like a bottomless pit in terms of investment or concern, but there’s really no better place to concentrate your efforts. If you have recently taken a financial hit, this month’s stars seem to provide the opportunity to re-coop, perhaps even quicker than you thought was possible. Downsizing - or even walking away - can be a smart way to go. Of course, the Saturn/Uranus opposition can also be disconcerting for some, especially if you are resistant to facing facts. Saturn/Uranus suggests the past catches up you now. A relationship that breaks up during this transit may not have been fitting the bill for some time. Overall, the current transits can help you to walk away from what you need to with higher understanding. Pluto’s entrance into Capricorn can humble you. You’ll come to realize you aren’t infallible, but you will also come to realize that you can - and will - build it better next time. Pluto in Capricorn will teach you patience and help you to reclaim your resilience. You can become more dedicated than ever (perhaps there is little choice in the matter.) You’ll learn to harness your resources or your position in more practical and result generating ways. You could find yourself empowered as second in command or the power behind the throne

VIRGO (Aug 22 - Sept 21)

Someone new could make a sudden entrance into your life. Some event that could be life altering could also happen now. With Saturn/Uranus so featured, it can be important to put extra safeguards in place (physical, material, and emotional.) Stay alert and be ready to reinvent yourself at a moment’s notice. This transit could be fabulous or disconcerting. Relationships are about to be radically transformed. You could benefit through association; it pays to align with people in the know. Hopefully, you will find connections to be fortuitous, but there’s also the possibility of feeling used as hidden agendas are revealed. (By the way, McCain’s Sun is in Virgo. No matter if he wins the race or not, Sarah Palin has definitely sky rocketed to fame.) The full moon Nov 12 can be quite healing, productive or fortuitous, especially for those born around Aug 22 and Sept 11. Watch for a notification or piece of news, an invitation, a contract, a special meeting, or gift to come your way. Pluto’s entrance into Capricorn, highlights one of the best areas of your chart. Children, romance, entrepreneurial or professional success can transform you in profound ways. For those who have been sitting on the fence, it’s time to take that very important step forward. An end of the month change of residence or business move can be in the cards for some. The month may end, but your new life is just getting started!

LIBRA (Sept.23 - Oct.22)

Saturn and Uranus will clue you in to much more than you could have possibly anticipated. A particular friendship or perhaps a sibling relationship could feature more prominently now. Someone could enter or exit your life, perhaps suddenly. An important client or income stream could suddenly appear or disappear too. If you get the chance to study with a teacher or coach of note, don’t hesitate to dive in deep. The offshoots could be quite significant. Then again, perhaps you’ll step up to the plate as teacher yourself. Stop talking about writing and start doing it. Sacrifice can be called for re work, health or cherished goals, but if you could see ahead, you’d know that the prize is definitely worth it. Spirituality could also be another area that grows substantially for you. Nov 1 - 4, shoot high, think big, and jump in with both feet. Financial gain is possible, although in some cases it may be a matter of spending it to earn it first. Nov 4 could also set you free, perhaps unexpectedly. If you are cut loose, know that there’s better opportunity on the horizon. A child or lover could surprise you too. Pluto’s entrance into Capricorn (Nov 26) is especially significant/life altering if you are born around Sept 23. Pluto in Capricorn can force you to become more self-reliant, self-autonomous or self-sustaining. It can bring major transitions, challenge, ambitions, limitations or the reaching of limits re any of the following: family dynamics, aging family members, children coming of age, real estate investments, home repairs or renovations, relocation, home based business ventures. See your challenges as an opportunity to create the necessary improvements.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23 - Nov. 21)

In the mood to throw off everything and reinvent yourself? Freedom is essential now. You’ll crave new stimulus too - and you won’t have to go looking for it. A dynamic new life path is opening for you now and for the most part, it can feel exhilarating. Potentials exist as never before. Nov 1, 2, 8 - 11 can be particularly opportune, even lucky. Mars ends its tour of Scorpio on Nov 16, but Mars in Sagittarius will continue to keep you on a high charge through Dec 27. The long range/bigger picture view of the Saturn/Uranus cycle will force you to reinvent parts of your life that you have taken for granted or assumed were better on track than they now prove to be. While planetary energies can bring ease and opportunity, it pays to work your advantages to the max. Put extra thought and effort into keeping your clients coming back for more. Reinvent your social life while you are at it too. The full moon Nov 12 will help you to know better where you stand. Watch for important connections/a social event of note, substantial money negotiations or transactions, plans to be solidified, or a threshold crossing re partnerships. Projects, investments, intentions, relationships, holiday plans, sales, etc., the new moon Nov 27 bring the time to get it rolling.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov.22 - Dec. 21)

There are plenty of changes coming down the pipe. The month ahead is likely to keep you hopping with one thing after another; you won’t have time to complain of boredom! The Saturn/Uranus cycle will reinvent both your inner and your outer realities (especially life altering for those born around Dec 10.) Home is likely to be an especially busy place, necessary costs such as repairs, renovations, or a move can eat away at your savings. So too, supporting members of the family (tuition costs, etc.) can add up too. If it isn’t so obvious to you now, know that everything you invest in your career or family will generate excellent returns. Watch for insights or revelations, Nov 1, 2. Pluto’s advance into Capricorn (especially influential for those born around Dec. 21) brings both a time of stage setting and of ripening, both re your professional and personal life. From here on in, it’s time to concentrate on gaining greater stability and control over your survival issues, with the intention of regain a more solid platform on which to stand (re financial, material, emotional, or health), and to durable structures and foundations, and a better quality lifestyle. Mars in Sagittarius Nov 16 launches a revitalization cycle. It’s “take off” time.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 - Jan. 19)

Whether it’s the school of life or more formal studies, it seems you are on an accelerated learning program now. Good thing you are quick on the uptake too. Saturn/Uranus is exposing you to real life with a twist. You don’t have to go searching; the universe has conspired to provide synchronicity for the harnessing. All you have to do is show up for yourself and take what’s being filtered your way. Studies can be exciting and illuminating now. Take specialty courses; sign up for personal interest or for career advancement. The connections you make, both intellectually and socially are important for you now. Saturn/Uranus also brings trial periods that could open new doors. Writing projects, etc. are worth exploring. The full moon Nov 12 could bring an unexpected advantage. You may be able to fill another’s shoes or fill a gap with something lucrative or fun. Then again, you can find an opportunity to scoop a vacancy, a used car or piece of equipment, or some other bargain. (Watch the fares or tickets sales, and try your luck with contests on the radio, etc.) Pluto’s sign change will be revolutionizing for all Capricorns, but is especially dynamic for those born around Dec. 22. Pluto in Capricorn can create a dramatic reformulation re present circumstances and key relationships. Health could become a priority to address. Revamp your appearance; the change will do you good.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20 - Feb. 18)

The Saturn/Uranus opposition affects your finances and your intimate relationship sector. You can feel that you have lost control in both of these important areas. Sometimes things just have to come to a head so that they can be addressed and corrected. This is certainly so of the world economic crisis. Still, despite all, it appears that you are making important breakthroughs too. In fact, Jupiter’s influence (currently in Capricorn) can help you to access added background support or provide you with a saving grace. This influence suggests something is in the budding stage, whether it’s a new relationship, a new career path, a creative project, or new foundation of internal security and confidence. Scorpio planets, namely Mars, Sun, and Mercury can help you to make important turnarounds, especially around the full moon on Nov 12. Pluto’s entrance into Capricorn will supply hidden support. It can help you to strengthen your spiritual foundations, help you to give structure to your creativity, or to turn a dream or a hope into an actual reality. Conversely, you can also be locked in, so don’t cripple yourself with addiction or other self-sabotaging ways. Seize/create opportunity, Nov 1, 2, 10, 11, 12, 15, 23 - 26, 29.

PISCES (Feb. 19 - March 20)

Nov 1, 2 could bring good news or an opportunity to show off what you can do. Luck and synchronicity runs high. Someone influential could inspire you too. These dates place you at an advantage, so by all means, take action. Saturn and Uranus can help you to make important legal or professional breakthroughs. Now is the time to set yourself free from relationships, jobs or circumstances that aren’t delivering the goods. Look around, there is plenty more out there for you. Be willing to take a risk on change. Make yourself better known, revamp your appearance, and try new things. Once an important ball starts to roll, it’s likely to roll very fast. You can feel like there’s no time to waste. Good thing Uranus will keep your energy high, try not to fuel up on anxiety, go with the flow instead. You will be happy to see Pluto leave Sagittarius. This has been a lengthy, overwhelming, and very challenging cycle for you. Pluto in Capricorn will help you to find the stability you have been searching for. It will also help you to stabilize your finances, to groom customer loyalty, to learn who your friends and supporters truly are, and make you feel more confident and on track as you step forward into a more solid future. The full moon Nov 13 can see things fall into place quite beautifully.

Most of you will know the Canadian Federal election results by now. I wrote below that it would be fierce competition, but it was only so among the running candidates in the various local ridings. We have had a dismal voting turnout. It seems US politics have completely overshadowed our interest in homeland politics. See below for commentary:

Apathy Gains Majority In Federal Election

by Matthew Good http://election.rabble.ca/

The federal election produced two results – a practically unchanged government and the lowest voter turnout in Canadian history.
While there are those that will shake their heads at that fact and claim it despicable, the stark reality is that a great many Canadians have simply become fed up with federal politics. This was, after all, the third federal election in four years, one that saw the Prime Minister break his own election law in an attempt to gain a majority, and one in which no party leader really stood out as quality leadership material.
After spending $300 million dollars of taxpayers money, this morning Canadians awoke to fact that another Conservative minority government is in power. True, the argument can be made that if more people voted the results might have been different – but then again, it can also be viewed as a lack of confidence and interest in this nation’s leaders.
We live in a democratic country – on paper anyway as perceived by millions of Canadians - and therefore should cherish the power that we have to elect our representatives, there’s no questioning that. But at the same time, there is the very real possibility that many Canadians saw this election for what it was – a political maneuver on the part of the Conservatives to gain a majority. Like it or not, that does not represent the people’s democratic interests, only the vanity of Mr. Harper who took a gamble yesterday and lost. That gamble could very well see Canadians return to the polls in another year, making it four federal elections in five years.
Lastly, there is the fact that this election cost Canadians $300 million dollars in a time global economic crisis. This morning Mr. Harper unveiled a new six-point economic plan to deal with the financial ramifications of the current crisis. Unfortunately for Canadians, $300 million dollars that could have been used to bolster social programs has evaporated for the sake of an additional sixteen Conservative seats in the House. Ironically, the addition of those sixteen seats will no doubt empower Mr. Harper to claim that the Canadian public has given his party a clear mandate to lead, despite the fact that it technically didn’t. When all is said and done, Canadians have to look at both the last government and this new government and ask a very serious question. If the last one wasn’t working because of political infighting which saw its ability to function diminished, how will this new one be any different? If the Parliamentary blame game is going to continue to consume the House, what did this election accomplish other than the establishment of the status quo?
Analytically speaking, Stephen Harper should have walked away with it. First, he faced easily one of the worst Liberal leaders in that party’s history. Second, he’s an economist, and his expertise, given what has been transpiring financially around the world, should have been far more pronounced. Truth be told, if he couldn’t do it last night he never will, a fact that should be resounding with Conservative supporters this morning - more so than the fact that the party has secured its second minority government in a row. The cold, hard truth is that if the Conservatives possessed the true support of the Canadian public they would have won a majority. Thus, the fact that they failed to do so in the most apathetic election since Confederation speaks volumes.

Canada’s Political Leaders

Who are they?

By Rose Marcus,

Evolutionary Astrologer

The Canadian Federal Election takes place on Tues, Oct 14, 2008. This date has two significant stellar influences. Most notably, it is the Harvest Full Moon. A Full Moon brings emotions and circumstances to a polarization peak, and so it is befitting for a call to action/for contesting and challenging opposing forces. Occurring at 1pm PDT across the Aries/Libra sign axis, you can expect emotions to be on the hot button. Watch the heated climate of our own Canadian election and also watch for a reactionary political scene in the US too. Do not under estimate the competition, this flared up Aries Full Moon suggests the election is sure to be a fierce battle.

The other important stellar factor to note is planet Mercury, which is now stationed at the tail end of its retrograde cycle. (Mercury retrograde completes on Oct 15 at 1:06 pm PDT.) Mercury is a planet that will swing either way, depending on its communication alliances with the other planetary influences. Economic equilibrium has been lost since Mercury has toured Libra (since Sept 25) and you can expect this uncertainty to continue, especially through this next week while the Full Moon flips the scales and continuing through until Nov 4 when Mercury will finally leave Libra and enter Scorpio. Voter alliances will continue to swing wildly too.

Mercury’s intensification in Libra and Venus empowered in Scorpio is indicative of Harper’s intention in calling this hasty election, namely to empower the Conservative government with a majority rule, but this stellar set up suggests that Harper may have betrayed himself with over confidence. Mars in Scorpio also suggests the opposing factions are a dynamic force to reckon with. While it looks likely that Stephen Harper will be re-elected with a minority government, (Mercury’s retrograde influence brings repeats) the stars suggest the opposition will gain more ground and that they are in tougher competition with themselves too. Expect the numbers to shuffle, especially re the opposition lineup. A Full Moon brings previously unknown factors to light and so the potential for the unexpected to come into being is intensified.

Here is a brief look at the individual players:

Stephen Harper, Conservative Party; current Prime Minister:

April 30, 1959, birth-time unknown, Toronto, Ontario

Sun in Taurus; Moon in Aquarius, Estimated Ascendant: Taurus

As leader of the Conservative Party and our present Prime Minister, Harper’s Sun shows the tenacity and stubbornness associated with the Taurus the bull. Once a course of action is determined, he will not sway off, that is unless it serves to do so. Harper’s Venus in Gemini is apt to break his own rules (case in point, the current election), but he is not like to be swayed by others unless he can see value or advantage. He is strong in Earth and so is likely to plow away despite obstacles. He shows good leadership ability. He is conventional and traditional, but also much shrewder than his honest Joe presentation. His Moon in Aquarius has social conscience, which is a good placement for a politician. He was born under the Third Quarter Lunar Phase, which suggests there is more to Harper than meets the eye. This down to earth veneer may cover up a much more intense, driven, and ambitious individual, one who is determined to reach his own objectives. Harper will reinvent himself more than an average Taurus. His current Lunar Phase (Gibbous) is one of diminished power and diminished personal satisfaction too. It suggests having to work from an underdog position, so it is not surprising that he is the leader of a minority government and that he has to fend off intense criticism. He will move into a more empowering phase in 2010. One month from now his Progressed Moon moves into Sagittarius, suggesting that once the election is out of the way, that he will certainly be on a (perhaps self righteous) mission.

Stephane Dion, Liberal Party:

September 28, 1955, 5:00 am Quebec, Canada

Sun in Libra, Moon in Aquarius, Ascendant in Virgo:

Stephane Dion is a Libra Sun, with Venus in Libra close by. This influence should make him quite the charmer, but several planetary influences diminish some of his social finesse and popularity. Libra is the sign that correlates to culture and the arts, which, (unlike Harper, who has cut back on arts funding) is on his political preservation agenda. His Virgo rising (and Mars in Virgo) adds a level of vulnerability and self-consciousness and tend to place him at a disadvantage (he has to fight his way out of an inferior position.) His Moon in Aquarius is a good sign placement for dealings with the public, but in opposition to Jupiter in Leo can bring public dividedness, some will like and admire him, some will not. Still, Stephan has the chart of an honest and moral man. His Moon in Aquarius opposition Jupiter can display as arrogance, self-righteousness, tunnel vision, and grandstanding, but it also suggests an idealist, modernist/futurist, and astute visionary who is progressive in thought and generally stays a step ahead of the game. Saturn’s placement in Scorpio would suggest Dion has to work very hard to gain the trust and acceptance that (he feels) should come more readily. He will display the ambition, tenacity and shrewdness that is key for any politician who seeks high-ranking public office. He is outspoken when he feels justice has not been served. Dion was born at the time of the First Quarter Lunar Phase, which displays as a take-charge personality type. Sometimes this lunar pattern can translate into a driven, decision maker who feels compelled to forge ahead knowing the waves may be the price to pay in order to stay true to his vision. His carbon tax stance is contentious among the public who feel they will be gauged (Libra - added costs.) His Moon/Mars connection suggests deep passions that often come out of pent up frustration and that he has to worker harder than most for each of his wins/gains. This perfectionist combination makes him hyper-alert to flaws and loopholes. This is not a personality that will leave well enough along or say, “This is good enough”. When he isn’t being confronted and challenged to improve his game, he will actively challenge others to do so. He is currently in a Crescent Lunar Phase, which suggests he is in the process of building a stronger, more secure platform. The current stars suggest he will gain through his teammates; the Liberal candidates are sure to do well in many ridings.

Jack Layton, NDP:

July 18, 1950 Montreal, Canada 1:01 pm

Sun in Cancer, Moon in Virgo, Ascendant in Libra

Jack Layton’s kitchen table campaign is befitting for his nurturing Cancer Sun, a sign that correlates to home and family. His Moon in Virgo is also befitting for his concentration on the labor force, job creation, and health care. He has Mars in Libra with Neptune close by. His physical presentation is appealing and well delivered; he is articulate. Mercury in Leo adds confidence to his delivery. Layton’s Moon in Virgo receives criticism, but it is also a lunar placement that suggests a great deal of attention is directed to continuously improving one’s game. Moon in Virgo people are usually painfully aware of their flaws and shortfalls and while they can criticize others, they are just as hard on themselves. Layton is a New Moon personality type. This suggests he is a quick study, and a risk taker. He is one who will keep up to speed with his contemporaries and the current trends. His progressed Moon has just moved into Scorpio, suggesting he is gaining power and becoming more astute as a strategist. His chart is very influential on Oct 14. His Sun in Cancer intersects (forms a square) to the Full Moon, which places him/his party as the third wheel and perhaps as the tiebreaker of the day. Jack Layton’s chart is now in a phase of seeding for the future. He is the maverick to watch and his stars suggest he will be a history maker of significance. With his progressed Sun one degree from a conjunction with progressed Saturn, he is working toward a more prominent leadership role. He may be responsible for helping his party to break new ground (his lunar pattern.) The NDP has not yet been the official opposition, but under Jack Layton’s leadership, it is entirely possible, if not in this election then in the not too distant future. He enters into a new solidifying phase in May of 2009.

Elizabeth May, Green Party:

June 9, 1954, Hartford Connecticut, birth time unknown

Sun in Gemini, Moon in Libra (estimated)

Elizabeth is a thinker, an observer, and a people person. She is also highly opinionated (Sun in Gemini) Five planetary placements in Cancer suggest she is an emotional person, a natural caretaker and nurturer. Mars in Capricorn bestows her with ample executive ability; in opposition to Jupiter, we find an intensified ambition to control and to lead. This Mars/Jupiter “fighting for social justice” combination brings great skill in both legal and political careers. She is ethical, moral, a risk taker, and at time, can also be self righteous. Her Lunar Phase birth pattern is the First Quarter Moon, which adds confidence, independence and strong will. When passion is aroused, she is a determined a go-getter and will be more aggressive, outspoken, and competitive than the typical Libra Moon personality. We have seen some cooperative effort (Libra Moon) with Dion in order to gain more effectiveness against Harper and his Conservative Party. In contrast to the role Jack Layton plays, the current Saturn/Uranus opposition makes her a key teammate player. Overall, her chart benefits by association. The Green Party members should see an increase of support from voters. Her Progressed Moon in Virgo pegs her party as an underdog, but her lunar pattern is also one of gaining ground. In the future, the party will become an important ally to groom.

July 2008 Forecast Overview:

Coinciding with both the Canadian and US national birthday celebrations, (July 1 & 4), the month begins with another Super Moon on July 2 (we had one last month too.) A Super Moon is an intensification influence; the moon in close proximity to the earth commonly brings event peaks and weather extremes such as the occurrences witnessed in the previous month.

Temperatures are rising! With this Super New Moon igniting high tides in the emotional sign of Cancer, the changing economic climate translates into a sense of increased vulnerability and anxiety. Mars in Virgo (July 1 to Aug 19) serves not only to underscore this “other shoe about to drop” mentality, but to perpetuate it; fear breeds even more pulling back. The recent stock-market depression-like tumble is certainly reflective of this domino effect. On the catch-up, Vancouver is now witnessing an abrupt cooling of what was (up until yesterday) a hot housing market. Demonstrating what we are all feeling, (namely a greater need to play it safe, to stay closer to home, and to prioritize the family) note the recent US Democratic Party headlines: Unity in Unity (the Obama/Clinton “pulling-the-clan-together” repair job.)

Beyond the Super New Moon intensification, not also that we are drawing from the influence of next month’s eclipses. (Eclipses thrust circumstances into a faster developmental curve; they can also catapult us onto unexpected/alternate routes.)

The days leading up to and around July 11 will be defining; there are several key planetary aspects bunching up. Sun and Jupiter (in opposition on Wed July 9) enlarge, inflate, or exaggerate the scope of whatever is already set in motion, plus or minus. In action under the Mars/Saturn ceiling peak culminating on July 10, we have now arrived at a serious pressure-cooker boil-over point.

Mars conjoining Saturn can place you at a (hard won) goalpost and an achievement of significance, or it can deliver a deadline, an end of the line, or a critical full stop. For most of us, this threshold has been a long wait/long time coming.

Sun/Jupiter (July 9), along with building Mercury/Pluto opposition (July 10) can bring crucial news, major alliances, mergers, or splits, opportunity appearing as just under-the-wire timing, official announcements, milestone ceremonies or celebrations. Even though the going may be tougher than usual, know the now is infused with great promise. Research, explore options, engage in further talks, put in your requests and borrow sooner rather than later. (Sun/Jupiter aspects are usually freeing and buoyant, but relative to the other planetary energies, freedom can feel more like a void or a gap that needs filling.)

The Mars/Saturn aspect can prompt banks, governments, or corporations to make significant provisional moves; we could see interest rates rise or some other about-face re currency, commerce, rules, or policies. Recession fallouts (work shortages, downsizing, lay-offs) along with more controversy, conflict, politics, crisis, and war can keep media folk working even harder. Early on July 10, Mercury makes an oppositional aspect to Pluto; this clue-in aspect is informing, exposing (”outing”), controversy making, contradictory, argumentative, and confrontational; ultimatums or declarations can be hard news to swallow. Hot and dry planets Mars and Saturn can bring things to a standstill or a full stop. (Of course, when things get too hot and dry, fires ignite.)

By the time Mars and Saturn perfect their conjunction aspect in Virgo on July 10, we will finally know where we stand. Transactions, decisions, and contracts can be finalized. We may see that we have enabled/perpetuated a circumstance for too long (weakness, a flaw, a crisis, the sub-standard or less than satisfactory). While it can feel like a substantial sacrifice to sever from this particular feed, know that long-term gain and well being calls for substantial pruning right here, right now. (There isn’t much choice in the matter.)

The eventful Full Moon occurring on July 18 (26 degrees of Capricorn) delivers another achievement or realization peak, or time of finishing off. We can become even more conscious of have and have not, of the need to repackage our ambitions, to tighten up attitudes and budgets, and to hold ourselves more accountable. Venus enters Leo on July 12, the Sun will do so on July 22 and Mercury will follow suit on July 26. As the month advances and new realities sink in, it is time to learn to work more skillfully around the limitations. After all, what is life without reward? Leo is the sign of creativity, pleasure and play - where there is a will, there is always a way!

ARIES (MARCH 20 - APRIL 19)

Work or work shortages can pile on added pressure, especially prior to July 11. Lowered vitality and enthusiasm, or other health issues can also slow you down. On another note, Mars in Virgo can keep you busy with house or equipment repairs, and challenged with downsizing your overhead. (It’s also a helpful aspect for controlling your weight.) Relationship improvement is also on your priority must-fix list. Mars conjunct Saturn on July 10 can bring you to the end of the road with a challenge or crisis that has gone on too long. It can also be time to establish new boundaries with those who have taken chunks out of you.

July 5 to 10 can produce a “getting somewhere” week. This week can also bring visitors, good news, a sneak peak, travel, talks, or more social opportunity. The week of July 14 should see an easing up of pressure. The weekend of the Full Moon (July 18/19) can be especially eventful - for home, family and personal matters, or for business and professional ambitions. Use July to clean up your act and to better your odds; August eclipses are set to catapult you into a new chapter.

TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)

Mars in Virgo is one of your best planetary placements, so stand in your power, make full use of your assets and command the attention you deserve. Saturn adds ripeness to the here and now, and tops your self-confidence with added maturity. Yes, the responsibilities of parenting can be draining, especially in the first two weeks of the month, (congrats to first timers!) - Still, the rewards are matchless.

Start negotiations, marketing, or research around July 5 and watch for contracts, agreements, decisions, or plans to be finalized around July 10/11. Whatever is set in stone around this time has the mark of longevity attached. (It’s a great time to make it official, get hitched, buy property, sign a long lease, open a business, start a career or step into a more professional or responsible role.) If it is goodbye and move on time, both parties are likely to recognize it is the right thing to do (hopefully it will be a smooth parting.) This key Mars/Saturn transition point brings you to an end of the road as far as settling for less. More respect, more positive attention, more control, it’s time to get to the right level - send the message more clearly.

Past July 15, you’ll find more opportunity for travel, pleasure and play. The eventful Full Moon weekend, (July 18) brings a great time to go camping, to hop a plane, or to enjoy the company and festivities right where you are. End of the month aim to stick closer to home and family.

GEMINI (May 20 - July 20)

A lot of added attention goes toward holding on to the things and people who matter to you the most. Of course, income and savings are of added concern; yes, it is getting harder to keep it in the black. Still, anything you can do to invest in your future security is a step in the right direction (no matter how small a step it is.) Home repairs or upgrades will ultimately put money back in your pocket; business, career or image investments are also wise. While work is harder to face when the weather is so nice, if it’s your season to do so, ride it for all it’s worth and sock away as much as you can. The Sun, Venus, and Uranus ignite lucrative potentials and social enjoyment, especially July 2 - 4, 6, 12 - 14.

Mars and Saturn aspect can make you realize that you have outworn a label or a roll play; the aspect can prompt you to put more effort into ditching a habit, a behaviour pattern, an attitude, or wasteful time-filler. You could grow tired of someone or what they represent; perhaps your way of creating attention and business needs to be revamped too.

Mars and Saturn can keep stress levels up; you’ll see a release of significance past mid July. July 10 could put you at the start of your vacation, see the arrival of company, or bring the “take-off” weekend you have been waiting for. It could also be a time when you get answers, news, or confirmation. On a chaffing note, an argument could bring the final blow to a partnership or arrangement. The Full Moon July 18 can be key re inheritances, loans, financial partnerships, or real estate matters. It can be time to make an important relationship commitment or decision, (make it official, state your rules, define your boundaries, etc.).

CANCER (July 20 - July 22)

The Super New Moon should be wonderfully revitalizing, for body, mind, and spirit, especially so if you are born on or near July 2. Give the new moon a chance to energize though, your birthday is always a physical/biorhythm low point. Projects nearing completion, a vacation almost here, or just the summer sun to tap, you can feel an emotional freedom and lightness that may have recently eluded you. Of course, the hedge-your-bets Mars/Saturn pressure ceiling can continue to keep a cautious, sobered and even skeptical twist on your expectations through July 12. Still, you have to admit that you can feel the past is sitting more solidly where it belongs (in the done deal column.)

Whether you have something cooking on the backburner or simply have a sense that the tides are about to shift, July 9 can be a key uncovering or launch date. July 10, Mars and Saturn’s end of the road message for you is that there is no more time for excuse making. Make the dividing line between the way it was and the way it will be from here on in more obvious. These are important dates to solidify your official position or status, to say goodbye, to speak your piece, to make a commitment, or to show up for yourself in some other way. It’s also a good time for banking matters, to hire an agent, sign a lease, see a mechanic, health advisor, etc. Your social life, creativity, and libido are nicely fired up, off and on throughout the month. Venus in Leo (beginning July 12) upgrades your sense of pride, deserving and ability to rise above. As an attraction magnet, the pheromone queen (along with Mercury and the Sun in Leo too) can do greater justice to your love life too.

LEO (July 22 - Aug. 22)

Pool time and escape plans are likely to top your priority list. Cancer month is always your best time to hide out more, unless of course you own/work in a seasonal business, in which case you’ll have little choice but to submerge yourself and work your ass off. Until Mars in Virgo surpasses Saturn (July 10/11) you can feel pressured, burdened, or tapped out. This Mars/Saturn aspect brings that much talked about economic recession into an in-your-face reality. Your financial or emotional resources may not stretch quite as far as you need them too, you’ll need to pace yourself better. Once past mid month, you should start to gain more breathing space and see more avenues open up. In fact, work, workability and opportunity should improve as the month advances. While it is a matter of timing it right, attitude is a major player in getting you to where you need to go. At the time of the Full Moon, July 18 you can find yourself under added physical strain or emotional drain. Things can catch up with you; you may pay a price for being too lax in the past. When safeguards prove to lack effectiveness, ask yourself if you are holding on to something that has already surpassed its expiry date. Also, watch out for expiry dates on food and drug labels, and get repair work done before the warranty runs out. Despite the off and on pressures, Venus in Leo (July 12) followed by the Sun (July 22) and Mercury, (July 26) help you to maintain sunny side up.

VIRGO (Aug 22 - Sept 22)

You could be on a slow down or delayed fresh start until Mars surpasses Saturn (July 10.) Still, it should be heartening to know that you have reached the end of this very long and hard path. You’ll start to see tangible progress and more visible results past mid month. In fact the Full Moon (July 18) has that crowning achievement feel. Recognition and notice is great, but the best reward comes from the sense of accomplishment you’ll feel within yourself. Re the pain, punishment and suffering routine, enough is enough! You are completely dried out; the travails of the past offer you no further nutrients. You may have been stuck up to now, but past mid month, Mars says goodbye to restrictive Saturn and hello to possibilities planet Jupiter. July 22 to 28, enthusiasm, hopefulness, and vitality return. Much different from the start of the month, you’ll find more freedom, choice, opportunity, pleasure and overall wellbeing. You’ll appear more open, hopeful, enthused and relaxed than you have been in awhile. Mars/Jupiter produces lucrative timing July 22 - 30; inspirations should deliver very well for you - and with less than the usual effort too.

LIBRA (Sept.22 - Oct.22)

Wouldn’t it be great to take the month off? With Mars and Saturn coupled in Virgo, that idea is probably top of your wish list. Minimize on the pressure and max on relaxation every chance you get. If you are recuperating, please be especially gentle on yourself, you’ll need the extra time to piece yourself back together, especially through July 11. You can look forward to more energy, enthusiasm, and better avenues to explore in the last two weeks of the month. While it’s good to be with family, the Super New Moon says it’s time balance the books on caretaking - know you can cater to them less and they’ll still be satisfied. The Full Moon July 18 could find you with a house full or stretched between obligations or choices. Positively, the Full Moon could also see fruition on something important and long awaited. Leo stars deliver plenty of social opportunity as the month progresses. Attraction planet Venus in Leo (July 12 to Aug 5) can dish up lucrative new financial or romantic potentials. The Sun in Leo (July 22) followed by Mercury in Leo (July 26), increases social pleasures and keeps you well entertained.

SCORPIO (Oct. 22 - Nov. 21)

The Super New Moon on July 2 falls in one of the most beneficial placements of your chart, so you can expect the month ahead to offer more than the usual. Travel, playtime, self-pampering and the search for emotional gratification are some of the highlights of this new cycle. Be game to take a risk, venture out professionally, relocate, put your creativity out on show (publish, perform), or try it in the key of love. As Mars teams with Saturn in Virgo (building through July 10), life comes tinged with more than the usual serious tone (yes, even play is serious stuff.) July 2 - 6 can be a critical time for hashing out your final decisions or steps. Talk simply doesn’t take you far enough; action is the only way to get things on the road.

The Super New Moon is also set to make you hyper-aware of inflations (and inflationary fallouts) too. Welcome to the future! Mars and Saturn can bring you to the realization that you’ll have to become even more of a headline maker if you want to keep your top dog position generating as well as it has been. What makes you so special? It is important to convey the message every opportunity you get. Travel, entertainment, recreations, and ambitious undertakings can be quite fulfilling in the second half of the month. If you felt that projects, relationships, or life’s rewards were stalled earlier in the month; Mars aligned with Jupiter (by trine July 22 - 28) should make you feel like you are finally getting to somewhere good.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 21 - Dec. 21)

The Super New Moon begins a new cycle of relationship and financial needs. As Mars and Saturn bring the previous chapter to culmination (thank goodness!), you can consider yourself in a renaissance period of sorts. Pluto’s backtrack cycle (into Sagittarius through November) is re-ignited by the Galactic Centre. Sourcing from this potent energy vortex through November, you stand poised to be transformed at multi-levels - key karmic thresholds are ignited now. Mercury in Gemini makes you (even more) conscious of this fact; your new direction becomes more obvious now - in fact, it seems to have a life of its own. July 6 - 9, schedule meetings, key talks, bank negotiations, etc. Mars conjoining Saturn (July 10) can bring you to a pinnacle or end re professional or material matters. You can also come to the end of the road with a long-standing debt or relationship that has run its course. Step by step, you’ll discover more viable ways to repair/heal the mistakes of the past and to find more efficient ways to carry on from here. Be selective when taking on added responsibility, tighten it up, downsize where possible. Make sure everything you need is in close proximity and readily available.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 21 - Jan. 20)

The Super Moon July 2 brings partnership matters and financial comfort zones into primary focus. New relationships can get quite cozy right off the bat. We will see you putting even more serious effort into it making that good thing better yet. “What about me” is sure to play as a feature issue too. Yes, you deserve to get as good as you give. Do you need to voice it more? Off and on, communication channels open wide, there are plenty of opportune moments to lay it on the table (July 2, 3, 5, 6, 9 - 12, 22 - 29.) The first week of the month also sparks your social life (and your flirtatious side) - make plans or let spontaneity deliver.

July 10 onward, Mars and Saturn can break you out of a rut, a slump, a stalemate, or a silence. Watch for your long awaited news or answer. This turning point date could mark an event (the start of a holiday; a wedding, anniversary, etc.) or bring a business association, an official arrangement/agreement to the next level (it can be time to end, review, or renew a contract or lease. An important sale or key financial matter can complete around July 29. Ready for adventure, Mars and Jupiter pick up the pace July 22 - 31; you should find your enthusiasm, creativity, playfulness, luck, and resilience rise past mid month. Travel, special events, visitors, and more lucrative opportunities add more bounce to your step; health, and overall well-being perk up nicely too.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20 - Feb. 19)

Health and work (or escaping from work) are the focus of the Super New Moon July 2. Relationships at work can grow quite close knit - and perhaps even incestuous at times. A particular someone could be especially helpful - or conversely, need extra attention from you. That one thing or that one instant that can make all the difference; don’t hold back, give, and, if you need something, ask. You can see more unity and pulling together now, especially when it comes to family matters or the family business. Work can be especially lucrative during the holidays (July 1 - 3), a new job could be quite rewarding. Do whatever you can to make your day run easier, upgrade as necessary, use what is readily available, stay frugal, and take advice to heart.

In the days just prior to July 10, you could see things suddenly kicked into high gear. Even though you may see a desired goal achieved, you could feel quite financially drained or emotionally depleted as Mars and Saturn conjoin. Among the varied ways the planetary energies can be experienced, Mars and Saturn could also bring disappointment (perhaps someone is not supporting you enough), a rejection, or hard news to swallow. If your health needs tending, try to slow it down to a crawl and have patience with your process.

Watch for the Full Moon July 18 to reveal a blind spot, oversight, or vulnerability. Then again, the Full Moon could simply deliver a weekend to pull the plug on work or responsibilities, and to get solid R & R. If things were financially or romantically difficult earlier in the month, watch for Mars and Jupiter bring relief and revitalization July 22 onward.

PISCES (Feb. 19 - March 20)

A new groove comes easily as the month starts. The Super New Moon on July 2 is especially favorable on your chart, so you should find yourself in a good cycle. Watch for Loved ones to put extra attention your way. It can be a sweet time to spend with family, especially your kids. Less is best; Mars and Saturn say it is time to stop the over-activity and to prioritize the projects and people who matter the most. Choose quality over quantity every step of the way. Your social life and catering to the kids can make for very full days through this first week. Visitors come and visitors go - you’ll be happy to see both. Mars and Saturn can be a tight squeeze aspect; your patience can be tested. July 10 can be especially eventful, or bring you to a full stop. Either way, you’ll feel a great energy shift and feel lighter/freer after this date. The Full Moon July 18 can be encouraging, enlightening, or even luck generating (re money or love!) It’s a great weekend to take off somewhere, or to enjoy a wedding, celebration, or outdoor event, etc. Visitors or long distance calls can bright your day too. July 22 through end of the month can be more lucrative for sales and business, and is also a great time for vacationing, play, and romance.

(Excerpt)

Pluto’s entrance into the sign of Capricorn marks a culminating point of great historical significance as a yet another chapter of our collective experience winds to a close. As we witness the waning hour from this particular vantage point along the time-line, the necessities of an emerging new reality are becoming progressively more evident.

In astrological terms, Pluto represents the cyclical regenerative process, and as such correlates to the theory of reincarnation. Evolutionary Astrology looks to Pluto to provide perspective on the nature of the soul’s evolving needs and desires.

Pluto’s transit through a particular sign, a cycle that spans twelve to eighteen years, describes the signature rights of passage of a generation, and also describes the advancing journeys of both the individual and the collective soul. When Pluto is activated by contact with other planetary energies, or by sign or directional changes, it quickens the evolutionary pace of the soul’s desires and needs, at the individual, interpersonal, and collective levels. Whether Pluto’s transformative process is experienced as a steady and natural progression or as a cataclysmic experience will depend on the degree of resistance generated at any given point along the timeline. Resistance ignites friction; friction increases the degree of polarization and intensifies the building momentum. Repetition occurring through the action and corresponding response mechanism creates more links in the chain of experience. Eventually, the energy of this repeating process reaches a saturation extreme. It is at this crisis or turning point in the cycle that polarized resistance exhausts itself, giving way to an evolutionary leap of significance.

Pluto advances into the sign of Capricorn for a first pass from January 28 to June 14 of 2008. Due to its retrograde cycle, which begins April 2, Pluto will return for a last sweep through the sign of Sagittarius and will re-enter Capricorn on November 27, 2008. Pluto will complete its journey in this sign by November, 2024.

The goat with the fish tail, Capricorn is a dual archetype. It is inherently both masculine (assertive, active) and feminine (responsive, retentive). It’s inner and outer constructs can be referred to as its light and shadow forms.

Capricorn correlates to the skeletal structure of the human body, in other words, the inner foundation or support structure, and it also correlates to the outer layer called the epidermis or skin, which houses, protects, and limits the form called the body. Distinct in both form and function, each is a counterbalance for the other; both hold the body intact. Together, they determine the body’s form and its function.

The foundation or inner core and its mind set, along with the structural housing and its boundaries and limitations, create the definition for the regulating body called consciousness.

As an earth sign, Capricorn is the archetype that correlates to physical reality. Capricorn’s shadow component correlates to the perceived realms of manifestations, in other words our experience of reality or that which is defined by the limits of consciousness in any given moment. While they are two separate and distinct counterpoints, perceived reality and actual reality are often judged as one and the same. For the willful subjective consciousness (or ego on the run), they can be experienced as virtually inseparable.

The perceived consensus is the invention of the socialized or learn-ed consciousness. Once accord centralizes around a consensus reference point, this then serves as the baseline that not only defines what is most readily accepted or adhered to, but also serves as the criteria by which all other information or experience is received or judged. The progressive socialization of consciousness becomes conditioned over time to act and respond in alignment with that which is already housed, or in other words, pre-exists.

Once the socialized consciousness has become informed and educated enough to create definition, this then serves as a measurement (a manifested concept or acquired judgment) that separates and segregates through the establishment of boundaries, borders, limits, and cut-off points. Conceptualizations energized within the conditioned mind lead to the progressive materialization and eventual crystallization of thought forms. Both security and limitation are created. Once the willful subjective consciousness forms a strong enough internal accord, it will strive to preserve itself and its pre-established sense of security for as long as possible, utilizing whatever means are within reach, which typically results in the blocking or denying of alternative realities.

Pluto in Capricorn generates an intensified awareness of encroaching endpoints, along with the growing counterpoint recognition of coming potentials. Along with this awareness comes apprehension and anxiety (personal, social, collective), as consciousness naturally begins to project definition in order to recreate security from what is already known. Anxiety is one of the most common of human conditions; depression and futility consciousness can be labeled as “ready-made” bi-products. While depression and futility consciousness seemingly put evolution at a standstill, they still serve as a creative tap. The Capricorn archetype uses anxiety and the workings of the resistant or fear based consciousness as a catalyst in order to stimulate and build the necessary momentum or motion.

Pluto in Capricorn now points the hands of the symbolic clock at the intersection of our past and future. Note that the Mayan Calendar, a time measurement of ancient roots, will end during Pluto’s reign in Capricorn. Does this synchronicity represent a symbolic or an actual reference point for the collective? We have yet to witness the impact of its final moment on our contemporary existence.

The recent occurrence of Pluto’s demotion as a planet by the authorities of the day is also symbolic of an encompassing collective consciousness shift as the light of the coming New Age dawn begins to peak through this twilight hour. Perhaps our modern consciousness is not as linear as we perceive it to be.

Building forward from the recent Pluto in Sagittarius years, Pluto through Capricorn’s era will enforce a time of reckoning with the past, at the personal level and beyond. Occurring only once every 248 years, Pluto in Capricorn is set to ignite the astrological flare-signal for an emerging new world order, one that will see a significant reorganization/restructuring of private life priorities, as well as produce a dramatic shift in the balance of power in the larger world context. Throughout history, Pluto in Capricorn has typically advanced the rise and fall of empires. The last cycle brought about the American War of Independence, which led to the birth of the USA, the superpower nation that dominates the world scene to the present day.

It does not take much looking around to see the signposts of a shifting world order already well underway. For both the individual and for the collective, Pluto in Capricorn signifies that an entire life cycle is coming to an end, while a new one is coming into being. At the same time it hastens the dismantling process, Pluto in Capricorn is already at work erecting the baselines for our near future and developing the paradigm shifts for the long-range future, (the not too distant now Age of Aquarius.) Now through 2024, the skeletal system will grow added dimension, filling out to the point of where its characteristics and functions are more fully embodied and more consciously recognized.

To backtrack for just a moment, Sagittarius is the archetype that correlates to the intuitive function and opens the gateways to consciousness of beliefs, faith, visions of the future, and to the seeking of truths and higher knowledge. It is through Sagittarius that we feel a sense of something more and that we seek to make larger, broader connections, beyond that which the naked eye can see. The Pluto in Sagittarius years have not only animated the vision quest to expand knowledge, these years have accelerated our information sourcing to the point of where we can travel anywhere quite instantaneously; we are now front row voyeurs to the world. Our choices have expanded like never before.

The responding polarity of Sagittarius is Gemini. Gemini correlates to the sensory perceptions organized by the left-brain function. Through Gemini we form logical syntax; we label, we formulate opinions and we make connections. Gemini correlates to the duality of experience. The action/response mechanism energized through the Gemini/Sagittarius axis prompts expansion by creating exposure to variety, diversity, and a multiplicity of options. The more polarized this axis becomes, the more separate and distinct the opinions become. Opinions are the product of the educated consciousness, and they offer multiple variations on a single theme. More often than not, they are focused on a version or a part of the truth and do not necessarily represent the whole.

In reality, our lives are also a bi-product of our creations, but we most commonly distinguish ourselves as separate and separated, viewing our creativity as an external object or outside of self experience.

It is through the Sagittarius function of compensation that we resist facing the truth exists beyond our security threshold. Compensation leads to the expansion, exaggeration, and elevation of one version of the truth over another, of orienting to the perceived truth over the actual truth. On a social level, we quite commonly see this in political campaigns, religious fundamentalism, racism, social elitism, etc. On the personal level, we find ourselves not listening to advice, to the wants and needs of others, to synchronicity’s signals, nor to the voice of our own intuition.

All of creation is energy and energy perpetuates itself through keeping in motion. Energy condenses into form through the workings of gravity, a Capricorn concept. Motion linked with gravity creates an evolving structure. Our continued expansion of beliefs, knowledge, truths, and versions of the truth through the Pluto in Sagittarius years have now solidified. These Pluto in Sagittarius years represent the foundations from which we will now build and shape our contemporary and future realities. The Pluto in Capricorn years will put these theories, philosophies and beliefs to a supreme test. Will these Sagittarian foundations provide suitable building material? Are we building on the inflated or on misguided measurements? We will soon discover what pathways are obsolete, where (and how) life force is extinguished and in what direction can more fertile ground be found. The coming years of Pluto in Capricorn will serve as a both a dousing rod and a grounding peg.

The latter half of 2007 has represented a key evolutionary chapter. Regarding both our individual and collective choices, 2008 brings yet another pivotal year. Pluto in Capricorn’s preview visit to Capricorn, through the middle of June 2008 offers a sampling of the shape of things to come and adding further definitiveness to the chalk lines. Pluto’s revisit to Sagittarius, mid June through November will provide a last opportunity to pick up our missing keys and to reposition as necessary so that we may step forward onto a more secure and sustainable pathway (and before viable options diminish further.)

Capricorn’s polarity sign is Cancer and within this sign can be found both the crises points and the resolutions for this next part of our journey. The crisis generated by the Cancer cardinal archetype bears root in both insecurity and the birth of new life forms. The key to successful navigating through these upcoming feast or famine years lies in the re-enforcing of the nucleus, at all levels. It is high time for a stringent reality check and to severe ties from any choke-hold dependency. The affluent collective can no longer afford to make rationalizations re its dependency on anything foreign or outside of self. We can no longer give our authority or control away. We must take the responsibility upon ourselves. Viable resources are diminishing quickly. How much loss can we live with?

Solution finding now raises the following questions. Can you weather a storm successfully? If not, is there something you could do in order to improve your odds? If you had to go without, could you find enough sustenance and shelter within a short distance or comfortable reach? Are you comfortably safe or is there something more that you need to do to ensure your present levels stay intact? Do you have expectations that someone or something else is responsible for your wellbeing? What can you do to be more in control and complete? Do you have enough support around you and can you give it back equally? Can you afford to contribute, can you afford not to? In stripping down to barest of essentials, what is it that is necessary for your life to not only survive, but to thrive?

Accountability is absolutely key; there is no margin for hedging when it comes to the proper use and honoring of all resources. Our world is about to become much smaller, and the next major lesson will be in learning how absolutely connected and inter-dependent we are. We cannot afford to create more physical, material, social, and spiritual wastelands; we can no longer afford to turn a blind eye to the fact that the pollution is not only being recycled back, it is the cause of the crippling and severe destruction taking place within bodies, minds, and souls.

It is also absolutely necessary to face reality for what it truly is, to turn priority attention toward the actual workability of the potentials held within the current critical time frame, and to embrace realistic goals and solutions that will perpetuate long term life, benefit, and continuity. Deadlines are approaching and they cannot be ignored or put off. Today’s results are the vital determinant for where we go from here. Halfway measures or half-hearted efforts will not cover enough ground in the current race against the clock.

We may be well into our 11th hour, but note that time has not yet run out. Consider the Now as the most important wake-up call of your life. As the sign attributed to alchemy, the Pluto in Capricorn years can bring about a golden renaissance for the collective and for the individual alike.

Forecast Overview:

Welcome to Mercury retrograde! Mercury’s trickster (retrograde) tour, backtracking in Libra this time, runs from Sept 24 to Oct 15. This cycle, known as astrology’s Murphy’s Law is predictable in terms of it’s propensity for derailing that which has previously appeared to be on track. Mercury retrograde is notorious for throwing the monkey wrench into decisions and deal making. It can be near impossible to close a sale or complete a deal during this cycle. (Interim agreements and temporary measures are the best aim.) Touring Libra this time, Mercury retrograde swings the sides of the scale from one extreme to the other - this is certainly true of the present economic crisis. Solutions or undertakings may not be effective, witness the economic bailouts as a key example.

Enmeshment and co-dependency is already proving to be a major issue/problem of this particular retrograde cycle. Note the domino fallout of the Wall Street crisis, not only for the failing US, but for the rest of us too.

We can already see that the money markets have turned into a rollercoaster ride. Rallying can occur in the short term, but know that there is plenty of work ahead and that Mercury retrograde solutions are temporary at best (and often flawed.) We are likely to see another significant money market peak (plus or minus) again around the Full Moon. (Things can get stirred up Oct 4 - 6, 9 too.) A Full Moon ignites polarization and crisis, but it also serves to inform, illuminate, and turn tides.

Canada’s Federal Election is being held on the Aries/Libra Full Moon so we can expect the opposition to be fierce competition. Mercury completes retrograde on Oct 15, suggesting there may be a repeat, but with changes. Stephen Harper is likely to take the helm again with a minority government, but with a rearranged and empowered opposition. Venus in Scorpio is intensified by this Full Moon, suggesting a resetting or correction of the scales. Note that Mercury will move out of Libra and into transformative Scorpio on Nov 4 (8 am PST, 5 am EST), the day of the US election. Relative to Pluto (Scorpio’s ruler) in Sagittarius, I hope the vote would be in the direction of increasing of best odds (Obama), rather than diminishing them (McCain.) Mercury is a planet that can swing to either side, so anything could happen.

It’s hard to think of ourselves as an enlighten breed as we see the disastrous state of affairs around the world. It seems we have backed ourselves into a pretty big corner. The reality of economic collapse now serves to intensify our consciousness; it is more a more immediate reference point/threat for most than the potential loss of our most precious resource, our fecund planet.

Perhaps as a collective, we have received a gift in disguise. The heavier/darker the dark gets, so too, the brighter the light becomes. If the current threats and political agendas have sparked greater awareness regarding the need to be more proactive in reshaping what comes next, then perhaps justice is served. If we stay hooked on systems of the past which are obviously failing now, rather than vote for new strategies that could potentially re-fertilize our future, then the simple truth is that we will continue to travel through the dark tunnel. Sooner or later though, we will see the light.

ARIES (MARCH 20 - APRIL 19)

Typical of the cycle, watch for Mercury retrograde in social Libra to put you back in the loop. People resurface one way or another. Re hookups, partnerships, or good ideas, it can be time for a second chance or a second shot. Oct 5/6, revamp or rehash, socialize and catch-up. Venus and Mars in Scorpio suggest significant financial relationship change is afoot. Concentrate on developing a more lucrative client base/go the extra mile to groom customer loyalty. Use the month ahead to investigate, negotiate, lay groundwork or ground rules, pick brains. Mercury retrograde is an appropriate time for financial revisions; renegotiate loans, agreements, banking, and prioritize debt payments. Re shared space or resources, or outstanding obligations/finances, make sure everyone pulls their own weight/knows your expectations - take it to legal arbitration if you need to. Venus and Mars in Scorpio also put a higher concentration on sorting out your intimate relationship and needs. Relationships can grow deeper, or problems can become more obvious. Full Moon April 14 can bring things to a head. Past Oct 16, you should feel that you are finally getting somewhere. You’ll feel this even more from the New Moon, Oct 28 through end of the month. Oct 30/31, Mars/Uranus ignite good timing and great synchronicity.

TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)

You can never be too safe or too careful during the trickster cycle. Mercury retrograde can play havoc with your day-to-day get around. You may not be able to stay on track with your own schedule or workload. Problems with co-workers (watch out for gossips and backstabbers!) can be draining. Problems can arise with transportation or equipment. Health (yours, your partner’s or your pet’s) could take a turn too, don’t hesitate to go for tests or to seek the advice of a specialist. When it comes out in the open, it can be disconcerting to begin with, but at least it paves the way for honesty, necessary correction, and healing. (You can’t stuff it/hide it forever!). Typical of Mercury retrograde, you can spinning your wheels and have very little to show for yourself. Be ready for a trial and error phase before you can latch on to effectiveness or find resolution. The Full Moon Oct 14 brings an opening or opportunity. You may not get everything you want, but perhaps you net a successful compromise. The second half of the month shows better productivity. You can expect relationships and financial matters to move to the next level once the Scorpio month arrives. Oct 31, handle important matters.

GEMINI (May 20 - June 20)

Your Mercury retrograde challenge centers on gaining more notice and appreciation. As times get tougher, you will have to do more to impress to keep the competition at bay and/or that good thing going strong. Added expense and effort will add up, aim for immediate returns. While your can be everyone’s go-to person, at times you may feel undervalued or used. Keep searching for ways to create more successful lines of communication with your children or lover. Put pleasure, play, and more togetherness on top of your to-do list. Prioritize quality relating and cut out the marginal. While Mercury retrograde can activate your social life, (your popularity is in good shape), you may feel more interested in one-on-one relating or prefer time alone to the party scene. Whether it’s a friendship, a flirtation, or a thorn in your side, a relationship with a casual contact or co-worker could heat up while Mercury is retrograde. Note, that Mercury retrograde circumstances are usually temporary. If a relationship or work situation seems to sudden veer off in a direction you did not expect, perhaps you are seeing what is really there instead. On the plus note, Mercury retrograde is a good time to sign up for classes, for personal interest or for employment upgrades. If there is an opportunity to take on a few extra hours or a temporary job, do it. Creative or personal exploration is also a productive use of the cycle. Tune inward, listen to heart rather than head, and don’t let the opinions/chatter of others interfere. The Full Moon Oct 14 brings something important to do, see, or speak. Watch for advantage, opportunity or news. The productive New Moon Oct 28 ignites a get-ahead or turn-it-around cycle.

CANCER (June 22 - July 22)

Home matters and family relationships are the focus of Mercury’s retrograde cycle. A communication breakdown with a parent, child, or roommate could occur, but ultimately it will provide the opportunity to get things straightened out for the better. It is an important time for safeguards and preventative measures. Temporary challenges with child-care could put pressure on you too. This Mercury retrograde cycle can bring up dependency or financial/emotional support issues; a particular concern, issue, or person can consume more than the usual attention. Unexpected home repairs could also be necessary. In the middle of a remodeling project? Mercury retrograde can produce extra headaches; proceed with caution, double-check your details and receipts. The Full Moon Oct 14 is likely to bring conflict. Overall, it appears that whatever challenges may arise will head you straight in the direction of improvement, empowerment and a gain of ground. At month’s end, opportunity opens wider. You A significant threshold is soon to be crossed, one that will help you to take a major step forward re will your love life, career, or educational pursuits.

LEO (July 23 - Aug. 22)

It’s time for a rethink. Even though the signs have been there for a while, Mercury retrograde appears to be forcing the envelope. In coming weeks, you could feel quite differently about something or someone. You may have to forego a relationship, expenditure, or plan in favor of another. A family matter/business or relationship with friend, sibling, or ex could get more complicated, especially re outstanding money issues; trust, or loyalties can be further compromised. The legal route could be more expensive, but it can prove to be a worthy safeguard route. While Mercury is retrograde, negotiate but don’t finalize if you can avoid it, and think in short term or interim measures. If you absolutely need to sign a contract, make doubly sure to read all the fine print. If possible, delay important transactions until Mercury retrograde completes (past Oct 15.) The Full Moon Oct 14 could bring news, a chance to study or attend a special event. The first half of the month could be a time to experiment and to gather info, knowledge, or experience. Get a move on in the second half. The motivating New Moon, Oct 28 - 31 brings the best time to start over, to initiate/launch new projects or a new direction.

VIRGO (Aug 22 - Sept 21)

Opinions about you could change; then again, it can be your opinion, trust, or expectations of someone important to you that undergo a review. A promise could be broken, an important plan or arrangement may need to be reconsidered. Excessive proximity, financial or emotional dependency or drain can be another issue of Mercury’s retrograde cycle. Then again, Mercury retrograde can deepen relationship bonding and demonstrate how meaningful and integral people have become to you. Mercury retrograde ignites selective hearing. You will take in some, while you completely reject or shut out specific people or specific information. It works both ways; you can only get so far with some people. Pick your battles wisely; otherwise, you will simply waste your energy. The Full Moon could bring important talks or decisions to a head; a financial offer, a significant introduction, or a new opportunity could be the start of something good. The Full Moon is also brings a good time to advertise, sell, or clear the air. Results are more visible as the month comes to closure. The Scorpio New Moon helps you to make a significant turnaround re communications, negotiations and schooling. Confidence and a better sense of direction grows as you being to prepare for what comes next.

LIBRA (Sept.23 - Oct.22)

Mercury’s retrograde tour is in your sign, so you could find life grows a little more uncertain or chaotic, or that you spin your wheels more than usual. You are likely to be more impulsive and susceptible too, so make sure to take extra care of your health and your wealth. The presentation matters, so take extra care to put on the good show, to look, to dress, and to speak the part. The next couple of weeks brings transition and calls for experimentation. Potential ignites wherever you aim; some can be here to stay, but note that Mercury retrograde is usually a fleeting influence. Then again, a second chance or a second wind is your gift. Give it your best shot, but make sure you don’t give away more than you should. It is important to make sure that your efforts are being met half way and that you groom the respect and attention you deserve. The Full Moon is an important time of new starts and crossing relationship thresholds. You may feel pulled between personal needs and relationship needs, or between your personal life and public life. This is your opportunity to be seen in a dynamic new light. There can be fierce competition to deal with, but Mars in Scorpio will help you to stand your ground firmly. Significant turnarounds are possible, re relationships, emotional, or financial matters. Oct 29 -31 sets you on the road to recovery and increases your productivity. Mars and Uranus bode exceptionally well for work, finances, and health related matters.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23 - Nov. 21)

Mercury retrograde operates in your chart as an emotional undercurrent or behind the scenes influence. You may feel the need to pull strings or call in your aces. While Mercury is retrograde, it is a good idea to observe more, talk less. Read the signals, watch for synchronistic messages or hints. Work toward personal repair and healing; buckle down to studies, and tweak your work regime/attitude too. Recharge with vitamins, sleep, and other good for you regimes. Health, a work crisis, logistics issue, equipment or transportation problem could flare up at the Full Moon, Oct 14; be especially careful with sharp tools or sharp tongues, with heat or fire, and watch your driving speed. Whatever the challenge, deal with it quickly and get it out of the way. By the same token, seize an opening/opportunity as it happens - it could be fleeting. Mars in Scorpio, Oct 3 through Nov 15, starts you on a new adventure. This is a positive influence for resuming physical fitness or initiating new projects, but it is important to test the waters to begin with and to wait until Mercury retrograde completes before you give it the full thrust. Oct 29 - 31 brings an energized, flowing, and opportune couple of days. You should find yourself a lot closer to an important goal or launch point.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov.22 - Dec. 21)

Mercury retrograde puts you back in touch; someone influential from your from your past could make a reappearance, especially around Oct 6. Something you have said or done could come back at you too - use it as a means to get an extra leg up. If they were impressed before, you will not need to do the song and dance all over again. Mercury retrograde may rev up a previously shelved idea, plan, or ambition. Take your time to explore, but wait until Mercury retrograde completes to make a final decision or commitment. Circumstances could shift again. Mercury retrograde can produce a fun social cycle and give you plenty of new things to think about or new people to talk to/flirt with. Group endeavors, team involvement, negotiations, or plans could get more complicated than they should be, especially with so many ideas and opinions clamoring to be heard. While you are a good leader, take-charge person, or mediator, you may prefer to stay in the background and out of the line of fire. The Full Moon could present a new option or avenue, an opportunity to make your presence or position better known or provide an opportunity to make a graceful exit. Oct 22 onward, it can be time to go underground for a spell; devote priority attention to studies, health, or a particular project or person.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 - Jan. 19)

Mercury retrograde can see a changing of the guard; there may be new people in key positions to deal with. When it comes to revamping the program, start with what is familiar and has worked well for you in the past, build up from there. Oct 5 - 7 could bring key negotiations or a time to deal with important banking or legal matters, to hold contract talks, or to sort out parents or parenting issues. While compromise can be necessary, it is important to stand firm on your key points. Enlist help if you need to, a key advisor could set you on the path to successful decision making. Of course, it has to feel right for you, so if it’s something you just can’t envision for yourself, follow your own counsel. A particular circumstance, issue, contract, agreement, project, or goal could take until the end of November to fully resolve or complete. The Full Moon, Oct 15 brings things to a critical head/calls for action. You should start to see better progress as Mercury retrograde moves out of the way (mid month onward.) Once the ball starts to roll, you should see reward for your efforts. Things can fall into place quite well, especially from Oct 23 -31. Oct 29 - 31 can produce particular smooth running days.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20 - Feb. 18)

Rely on your connections and build from your previous history/reputation. Key people can speak highly of you; they can be especially helpful and informing too. The now could be an opportunity cycle. Do not dismiss anything until you have given it a good look/see. You may be able to fill a vacancy; an upgraded position or salary is quite possible for you now. Are you up for the challenge? Of course you are. In fact, you could be surprised what a perfect fit it is for you. While some upgrades may be temporary, recognize them as stepping-stones. Now is the time to undertake significant restructuring. You may have to redo tests, get a second opinion or okay. While Mars tours Scorpio, accountability is an area where you could feel the pinch. Know that dealings with authorities, although tough, could go better than anticipated, especially in the second half of the month. Mercury’s retrograde cycle could find you with the need to redo tests, to reapply, get a second opinion or another okay, or to take legal action. It is important to fight for what you believe is just, but also know when it is right to cut your losses and move on. Stay ambitious, take care of business, be diligent with studies, writing or other creative projects; efforts will translate into tangible results. It is important to present well. The eventful Full Moon Oct 14 can bring important news.

PISCES (Feb. 19 - March 20)

Mercury retrograde puts the spotlight on finances, private affairs, or intimate relationships. You could re-meet with someone special, whether from the past of this life or another. When you connect with the right people, places, and things, you could feel a deep sense of knowing, or déjà vu. A long distance relationship or future goal could occupy your priority attention too. It can take time to see where things are going. Venus in Scorpio (to Oct 18) brings good connections and win/win potentials. Oct 9 could be especially opportune. The problem solving Full Moon can be productive for clearing the decks re work, health matters, financial undertakings, and critical relationship matters. The New Moon Oct 28 can bring good news or an important turnaround re finances, relationships or heath matters. This is the start of an empowering growth/positive initiative cycle. Oct 29 - 31, things fall into place quite beautifully. Mars and Uranus end the month on a high note.

dear rose,
i have been following you for sometime. i have been wanting to write to you about my chart. i have found out what i know about my chart by people who specialize in pluto. astrologers gasp when they see my chart. the only advice i have ever gotten about my situation is “discipline” and by the time you are 40 “you will be able to turn flesh into stone”. i was also told i have a one in a million chart. i have held firm and have road out this night mare and that is the only word for it. i am about to turn 40 and while i think i have managed through the worst i think the world is taking a turn for the worst and to be honest i have no hope for the reward part. i was born with pluto on my ascendant, exact. it has squared, opposed all the important and serious planets in my chart. i survived 6 major head injuries, left home at 15 and took care of myself without any help. there was never any help offered, ever and when it has, it has had abusive attachments to it. then pluto transit in 95, well let’s just say when things could not get worse they did. the last 14 years, i had a brain tumor i fought for 8 years alternatively, my whole family died and not one of them was prepared or had money, a boyfriend tried to murder me and over the last 2 years i have lost everything and have ended up pretty much homeless. i have worked so hard my whole life, i have never given up ever and i just do not see what all of this has been for? i have in the last month put out 35 resumes. i cannot get work and i am not willing to compromise myself for work. this next week i have to turn my phone off and close the last few accounts i have, then hopefully somewhere down the road pay the bills. i am attaching a resume of me so that you can get the big picture of how much schooling i have had, how hard i have worked. the resume shows only half of the education and skills, also i have projects i have been working on for 10 years in some cases. know one will listen to me and lately i feel like i am not even here or here in a way that people see and hear you. like i am on the out skirts? hard to explain. another issue that has scared the tar out of me is transporting in my car to other states. i am in one state, i get dizzy and the next thing i know i am somewhere else. i have been on the road for the last 2 years. i felt i would try and just follow the voice and it has taken me all over the place, living in my car, door opens i go there, door closed i am show where to go next. do you think that the universe is trying to give people opportunity to do the right thing? i come in and show them the way and they cannot get out of their own resistance to see that i am the messenger that they have asked for and they abuse me and let me limp off. i just do not get it? i think i am to far ahead of the times and the planet is going backwards. the pluto on my ascendant brings peoples darkness right to the surface and no matter how nice i am they just feel that pluto, darkness polarity. it has served me well in alternative medicine work, but not in friendships, relationships. i have been single now for 10 years. it has been hard to go it completely alone, but i have done it. anyway i know you have to make money and i have none to offer. i can offer something in the future if you need alternative medicine. i work on some many levels and most people that i have worked with have survived their illnesses and in some cases have had a instant turn around. with the pluto opposing my chiron i can bring up the darkness, connect into the places where sickness lives and bring it up and heal it. i know i am the master, i came here that way, i have done nothing but become it and i know that pluto in my natal and transiting since 95 can be extremely painful. i know i am here to change the world, i have known my whole life, but i also have this sense over the last couple of years that my work might not be needed now as we did not make the shift offered in 95 and this is why everything is going the way it is for me. i am trying to figure out if it is time for me to leave this experience? if i can get my work out and make a difference? i have given my entire life to spirit and have been what feels like force to at every turn. like a dog on a chain, tied to his house, abandon and every time he gets a new idea he runs for it and is jerked back and beaten for it. all he wants to do is love unconditionally and always does not matter what. the whole dog thing came up a couple of days ago and it is totally how i feel my whole life has been. i will send my birth data in the next email with my resume. my chart might interest you, it has many natal aspects and the aspects over the last 12 years or so. many astrologers have reported that they are shocked i am still physically alive after seeing my chart. i do not think they have really looked at most of it, scares them and is out of their knowledge base area. if you have classes or students and you want to put my chart up for debate, you may, i would love to hear about it. cheers to pluto, bd

I have several projects on the back burner:

1) National wellness centers, I have a business model and plan I have been working on and perfecting 10 years.

2) Children’s books, I am working on books, a series of them. Based in my own experiences such as resurrecting bugs from the dead about age 5, being taught by trees and mastering conscious symbology. They are stories of a little girl having journeys between both worlds at the same time.

3) wilderness/medical/survival gear, I have numerous ideas/designs for new products for the market in wilderness medicine, military, based on the lack of products like these and the necessity I have for them. I feel in love with wilderness medicine and survival.

New business projects that have been developing over the last two years.

1) National food coops with one head office and only local organic produce is sold. This would help America with the food crisis.

2) Business consulting/pr/marketing and assistance in self publishing company that only caters to the alternative markets. We have many amazing things coming out of the alternative collective and they are not the type of people who know what to do next and thus their thoughts, ideas and products never make into the public arena.

these are the other projects. i am just trying to give you a sense of who i am when it comes to my birth data and events that have happened since born. i was born december 18, 1968 in fresno, california 11:45 pm and yes, i almost died and was told i would have severe brain damage because of the force applied to get me out after 18 hours. typical pluto stuff! i also had a stigmata 3 times during age 4 to 5. after is when i stared healing animals and resurrecting bugs from the dead, no shit! i have never met another person like myself and would love too

Dear DB,

Thank you for following my work. I’m sorry I have very little free time to devote to answering questions of this nature, but I will post it on my website to see if some of my students or readers would like to help you out.

In the meantime, here are some off the top thoughts for you…

You seek freedom, liberation, truth, relatedness, one-ness, unity and a sense of belonging, but the issue you face is learning how to refine your soul’s anxiety re all of the above. Your soul’s (hyper) anxiety (and impatience) keeps you enmeshed in your trauma consciousness and translates into extremity as a way of life. Like attracts like, it’s what you know best (extremes of experience and relating to yourself) and when you don’t own it, you’ll project it and find that it’s fed back to you through others and the circumstances you meet up with.

You are meant to re-meet with your past - the intention, of course is to burn it off. Your balsamic sun/moon blend indicates that you are at a culminating point (finishing point regarding some of your more key karmic relationships/lessons.) Your first house planets show that in order to finish off, you need to experience these old patterns and circumstances, but to add new elements/new experiences that will inform the soul and bring you new understandings - understandings that will allow you to let yourself off the hook. These new experiences and understandings will eventually serve inform your inner self that you can indeed relinquish this trauma conscious and these traumatic experiences and relationships. You are also meant to demonstrate to the karmic links (people from the past) that you are a new person, that you have new understandings and insights, and that you are not “more of the same” (or “more of the same you”) so to speak - your warrior self, your resilient self, your enduring self. Experience will eventually help you to develop more objectivity re what is a true or essential need, and who is worthy of your attention, heart and gifts, this in contrast to allowing yourself to be over-exposed to traumatic experiences/relationships all over again. In learning how to refine your soul’s anxiety, you need to learn the art of listening in a more dynamic way - this is why you have been given the clairvoyant abilities and healing talents you obviously have.

There isn’t a heck of a lot of preplanning you can do to undertake your life’s journey. “I am called” is definitely your path. You are a Chironic shaman - the wounded healer is often an environmental antagonist - yes, you can easily/readily reflect shadow (to those who choose or need to learn through this vehicle) and the experience can be harsh for one who wants to find and radiate only light. Sagittarius is an alienation archetype, but as you move through your life, you can/will learn to become better integrated. I understand your need not to compromise, but in order to support yourself through a vocation, you must find a way to join side by side and to create acceptance (and community if you truly want it) for yourself without strife. Perhaps a key lies in helping your soul to understand that you do not need to fight for your freedom, that you already have it. Another lies in the fact that you do not have convince anyone of anything - least of all that you need to prove that you are deserving of honourable attention, freedom, respect, equality, love, etc. When you are in a place of absolute knowing for yourself, then you will begin on the path to healing. You may spend more time alone than you may want to, but your chart is set to keep you in motion, and you will be pulled into relationships and circumstances when the time is right (this is familiar to you.) Your life/your growth is not meant to stop. Potential is always in front of you. The upcoming Pluto in Capricorn transit through your fourth house is meant to force you to reformulate your self image and ego awareness, to put sufficient boundaries in place, to be more self regulating - especially to tame and refine your instinctual nature which swings from extremes. If you are wondering why your instincts sometimes gets you into hot water, it’s because of the inconsistencies of your emerging self is still very much informed by your past self/past experiences and this creates the inconsistencies - your instincts are sometimes prompted from the distortions of your past egos/past life fears and anxieties, and sometimes from your more ancient self - the more self mastered one. As you come to more inner accord and mature inwardly, you will see that your life will deliver less trauma and more light.

Many Blessings,
Rose

Monthly Overview:

June opens with Mercury retrograde operating at an intensified frequency, thanks to the Super New Moon in Gemini on June 3. (Super Moon: an astronomical high tide.) We can feel like the decks are stacked and rising; we can also look forward to unusual occurrences and uncanny synchronicity. The typical Mercury retrograde shenanigans can be easily observed, i.e.: plans or agreements falling through, miscommunications; computer, transportation, or schedule problems, paperwork snafus. Weather or health turns can give us a run for it too. Watch for rumor mills, sales pitches, trends, fads, media hype and mergers or splits to captivate our attention. Stories or news can resurface or repeat.

With the Super Moon intensified tides now activated, whatever is set into motion is sure to have a vibrant momentum; we’ll witness faster/greater circulation, mobility, and turnarounds. Chiron’s influence on the North Node can bring an awakening, illumination, messages/messengers, special recognition or the extraordinary; watch for striking introductions or inductions via destiny’s hand.

This particular Mercury retrograde has a bevy of stellar allies to spur greater risk taking now; we can be more game to try avenues or relationships that we might not normally choose. Off the beaten path, alternatives, or even extreme moves could seem quite normal, natural, and logical. On the positively note, this game mood can help us make important breakthroughs; for some it can be a mild cycle, for others, great creativity and potential is energized; opportunity appears. Still, it must be noted, Mercury in retrograde intensifies a higher degree of subjectivity, which can lead to blind spots. When we get overly caught up in our own one-sided concepts, opinions, and projections, selective hearing and seeing can lead to great folly.

Mercury retrograde will station direct on June 19 but we will continue to work through this cycle (first begun around May 22) through the July 6 threshold point, when Mercury direct will finally surpass a square aspect to Uranus (not previously reached/perfected). At this time Mercury will complete the trine contacts with the North Node, Chiron and Neptune (regaining the original degree of its station retrograde.) Watch for the synchronistic creative force of these planetary energies to be evident in the collective climate as well as in our personal journey.

The North Node (of the Moon) has been within close conjunction to Chiron in Aquarius throughout this last month. The two will perfect aspect on June 2 and move into a New Phase relationship, suggesting we can be opened by or exposed to more than usually comes our way. The Now energizes an exceptional opportunity to revolutionize the course of our lives – at personal, social, and collective levels. It’s the right time to experiment with the maverick’s path, to liberate a freer conscience, and to adopt a new lifestyle.

Pluto retrograde backs into Sagittarius on June 14. In this final re-visitation and grace period, we are asked to check in with ourselves one more time, to revamp where necessary and to take an active hand in re-setting the pointer on our life’s compass. Many of us can be prompted to uproot - hopefully, it will be to higher ground.

While Pluto in Sagittarius can bring more hopefulness, Jupiter’s current tour of Capricorn can bring the reality check into plainer view. Added seriousness or soberness can permeate our consciousness, prompted perhaps by a greater awareness of the ceilings or sense of time running out. It is a key time now to pick your “race horse”– and to implement practical and concrete steps to reposition where necessary. Time is of the essence. Don’t waste it.

Uranus stations retrograde on June 26. The archetypical intention of Uranus is to shatter through the conditioned consciousness and its crystallized judgment patterns, to cut cords with that which does not allow for progress. The retrograde cycle acts as an intensified catalyst in this regard, by creating the necessary environmental friction, shake up, or shockwaves, by awakening creative capacities and by supplying the revolutionary tools (circumstances or people). The outer planet retrogrades tend to be less noticeable in our individual lives unless they specifically make contact on our charts, but still they continue to be influential to our discovery process and internal evolution.

We can expect added emotionalism to be evident as Venus ingresses into Cancer on Wed,
