Month’s Overview:
September Astrolink
Despite the obstacles or work that lie ahead, September opens with a fairly smooth running week. Sept 1 to 27, Mercury in Libra seeks cooperation, peace, and justice. Sept 5 to 29, Venus in Virgo feels her way onto a healthier track. Along with the sun in Virgo, the trio set a productive backdrop.
Even so, uncertainty can continue. Over the first three weeks of September, it’s a matter of figuring it out one step at a time. There are knots, conversations, paperwork, and tests to get through. While we work on the bits and pieces, the bigger picture designs itself.
Sept 8 delivers the third of three super full moons in a row, and the final one for 2014. It is not as close to the earth as the August full moon was, nor as dynamically stressed as the July full moon. Still it holds greater than usual potential, but it is a Pisces full moon and that means anything goes. What are we really working with? What’s already on brew is gathering more steam. Hong Kong versus Bejing, Putin’s continuing stealth agenda in the Ukraine, and Iceland’s Bardarbunga volcano (which is located in the Pisces geodectic zone) are just a few examples.
Spread out over the day before and after, the Pisces full moon is aligned with Chiron (moon conjunct/sun opposite). When Chiron is in the mix, the extraordinary, the exceptional, or even iconic, can occur. We can experience a saving grace or a destiny-in-the-making moment. It is one that can reveal a higher purpose, a path of service, a spiritual or vocational call. The super full moon can open up a hidden wellspring, or expose that which has been missing, or overlooked, or omitted. It can unveil something that is more workable, useful, productive, and/or solution generating. This super moon and the week that follows could prove pivotal for the BC Teacher’s strike, and labour issues elsewhere.
A special one may hold great sway. They could be rescuer, saviour, healer, messenger, mentor, teacher, sage, or ultimate other. Then again, (it or) they could be undermining, wounding, polluting, or fall into the category of scapegoat, damaged goods, or hidden enemy. The combination of Pisces, Virgo, and Chiron can also be one of sacrifice, bittersweet, loss, dissolution, disillusionment, or over-exposure. Adding even more to the Virgo/Pisces saturation program, to Sept 10, Venus forms an opposition to Neptune. This is an imaginative, creative, romantic, and hopeful combination, (it’s good for marketing or image making), but it is also one prone to projection, fantasy, and illusion.
When Pisces, Neptune, and Chiron combine with a super moon, the tides of mass consciousness are raised in some specific way. What affects, infiltrates, or heals the one – affects, infiltrates, or heals the many. Considering the super full moon occurs across the Pisces/Virgo axis, put added attention toward health, safety, security, and food quality. Also, make sure your pets stay safe and healthy too. Theft, information leaks, and errors are also quite possible.
Chiron and the Pisces super full moon are engaged in a water element grand trine involving Ceres/Vesta/Saturn in Scorpio and Juno in Cancer. As stated above, it suggests the moment is full of promise, that the potentials are especially ripe, that what is being seeded now is of long term application, benefit, duration, or consequence. These transits also suggest that an agenda or contract, actual or karmic in nature, now shapes and dictates our reality. The Ebola vaccination is especially demonstrative of what the stars ask of us now. It hasn’t been fully tested, but time is running out. Although science doesn’t like to bank on faith or the unknown quotient, the necessity far outweighs the uncertainty. We can’t help but give the remedy a shot.
On the other end of the spectrum, the grand trine in water also facilitates opportunists, hidden agendas, power-plays, and inflitration. Isis is a growing plague, England is currently facing a terrorist threat, and great uncertainty continues in the world’s war torn hotspots.
The Pisces super moon can see matters to do with water – volume, levels, quality, purification, distribution, mining, and rights claim our attention. I hope that Detroit solves its problem. Let us stay hopeful that the battle against the Ebola virus gains good traction, that victims of war, racism, abuse, poverty and disaster find saviours and champions to alleviate their suffering, and that we, as a species and as individuals learn to be kinder, gentler, and more loving.
Once Mars enters Sagittarius on Sept 13, we’ll see more growth and movement; the mission thrusts onto a take-flight trajectory. By Sept 21, Mars square Neptune gains even more create-it traction. On Sept 21, just two hours before the Autumn Equinox (the sun enters Libra at 7:29 pm), Pluto will end the retrograde cycle it began in the middle of April. The following day, September 23, delivers a Libra new moon. Sept 25, Rosh Hashanah begins with Jupiter in Leo perfecting its trine to Uranus – an aspect that builds all month and continues to generate greater than average opportunity through most of October. Finishing off the month, Mercury enters Scorpio on Sept 27, and Venus enters Libra on Sept 29. What’s it all mean? The uncertainty or obstacle is mostly surpassed. We’re off, up, and running.
The end of Pluto retrograde (on Sept 21) stages a time is ripe moment. It helps us to move it forward and to build a more substantial foundation. Jupiter in Leo trine Uranus in Aries is an enlivening, flourishing, creative, and emancipation influence. It prompts bolder self-expression, experimentation, and risk taking. It is a wonderfully opportune transit for personal, career, and life style reinvention. Watch for a new social or political trend on the rise and for that which is already in action to gain a lot more traction. Noting that we are on the countdown to both Canada’s federal election (2015), a US mid-term election and the preliminary to the US presidential election (2016), this Jupiter/Uranus transit is also likely to send political campaign initiatives into a much fuller thrust.

The first half of Virgo month is accompanied by two asteroids and two planets in Scorpio. If at first you can’t figure it out, keep researching. By mid to the end of the month, you’ll gain a clearer sense of direction.
Mars tours inspired Sagittarius from Sept 13 to Oct 26. This is an excellent transit for broadening your search and your horizons. It’s a time to travel, teach, mentor, perform, write, and publish; to advance legal matters, or to set yourself free. Building all month, Jupiter’s trine to Uranus on Sept 25, sets an exceptionally synchronistic backdrop for creative ventures, risk taking, and affairs of the heart.
TAURUS (April 20 -May 20)
Mercury leaves Virgo on Sept 1, but Venus enters the sign on Sept 5. This switch moves you from thinking it, to feeling your way along. The sun in Virgo is an optimizing influence. It loans you the vitality and creativity to accomplish your task. Aim to improve, enhance, or better your best. It will give you the leg up for later when it is most helpful.
The Pisces full moon on Sept 8 is full of good promise. A new avenue, potential, introduction, goal, or life course will prove to be the start of something quite worthy. It can sustain you for some time to come, so make the commitment and give it your all.
Jupiter trine Uranus, perfecting on Sept 25, may open a door or a portal. It’s a brilliant time for the self-discovery and personal reinvention journey. Together this revitalizing duo will help you to see yourself in a new light. Confidence and creativity grows from here. You should find that home and family life also moves onto the upswing.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21)
Whether you are fresh at it or have been going at it for awhile, now’s the time to fully immerse yourself right where you are. Change a little or revamp everything, it’s the attention and commitment you give it that will make the grade and deliver the goods. Virgo month is an ideal time to renovate your living space, your schedule, routine, or approach. It’s also an optimum time to revise your business plan, budget, or inventory; to change jobs or to upgrade your services, education, tools, or skill set. Seek expert advice, do more research.
Use the first two weeks to get it worked out. As of Sept 13, Mars in Sagittarius puts you, it, and them on the move. While work and working it calls for effort, Jupiter’s trine to Uranus keeps synchronicity working in your favour. Inspiration, ingenuity, and intuition are on the ready tap. You should have no trouble coming up with fresh ideas and feeling a sense of revitalization. Jupiter/Uranus keeps you in a good social and creative flow. For the most part, you’ll find it is easy to communicate and connect, to build good rapport and to keep interests levels peaked – yours and theirs.
CANCER (June 22-July 22)
The next few weeks can see you blast through plenty more than the usual. A compelling force can overtake you – see it as a good thing. It is an excellent time to get a move on. Mars and Saturn in Scorpio loan you power, stamina, and enough shrewdness to see what is most advantageous for you. With Jupiter’s building trine to Uranus, which peaks on Sept 25, the next few weeks are an especially lucrative time to get a move on. Jupiter/Uranus helps you to create more opportunity for yourself, to be a bigger risk taker.
There are a few stressful aspects prior to and after Sept 8, but overall the super full moon is a promising one. It can open up something lucrative, healing, or encouraging. Look to the days that follow to clue you in more. Mars in Sagittarius, starting Sept 13 can get you moving even further/faster. Regarding health, work, or improvement goals, the more you do, the more you’ll have to show for yourself. This is an ideal transit to scout for more jobs or clients, to dive into a new line of work, to look around for a new agent, mentor or advisor, to explore a new healing modality, or to get going on an education track.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)
Venus leaves Leo on Sept 5, but Jupiter will continue to be on your side through August of next year. Venus in Virgo serves you well too. Along with the sun in Virgo, it puts you in the mood to work it out – and just like dieting, to make the improvements that you know will lead to benefit. Both planets help you to get better organized and onto the things you need to do.
The super full moon could bring something you have been hoping for into much better view. Either it is a time of opportunity and attainment, or a time when you’ll see what you didn’t clue into previously.
If it’s fresh and new, it’s got your name written all over it. Jupiter in Leo maintains a great relationship with Uranus for the entire month and into the start of next. This is an excellent transit for all fresh starts, for personal and lifestyle reinvention, for speculative projects or investments. Liberate yourself, travel, relocate, teach, perform; upgrade your website or social media; take the lead; go boldly where you’ve never gone before. Try something or someone new. Jupiter/Uranus gives you a great big lead on the rest of us.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
By the time you get through this first week of Sept you are likely to be feeling quite alright. Yes, you are making good progress and for the most part, life seems to be heading on a good track. Sept 5 through Sept 29, Venus in Virgo brings added attention your way. You don’t have to put much effort into it, just a nudge or a smidgen more will do you plenty good. Venus in your sign is a good time for enhancements of all kinds. Take a trip to the hair dresser or the gym, work on your diet, attitude, ambition, relationship, or finances – you can gain better traction/mileage than you might at some other point in time.
The super full moon on Sept 8 can make you aware of something or someone you haven’t fully clued into yet. This can be auspicious time for love and romance, for heeding the spiritual call, for an ultimate realization, or for making a dream come true. The super full moon brings that sense of destiny in action or of a karmic undertaking, especially so for those born Sept 8, give or take a couple of days. The following weekend is also shaping or cementing.
Re creative, romantic, career or financial prospects, Jupiter and Uranus keep it lively and developing behind the scenes all month. Your intuition is also likely to be especially active, even lightening quick – make sure you listen up! Stay game. The discovery curve has plenty to offer. All it takes is one good one to open it up/to set you on a completely altered track. This wellspring transit can also increase fertility prospects.
LIBRA (SEPT 22-OCT 22)
You are likely to feel ready for this one. Mercury’s ingress into Libra on Sept 1 is good for a fresh boost of get-up-and-go. Venus in Virgo, starting Sept 5, puts you in the right frame of mind to take on the task.
The super full moon of Sept 8 can reveal something you have down played or have chosen to ignore. Too, it can reveal something that needs fixing. See it as a blessing in disguise. Chiron can produce a mixed blessing – there may be something to relinquish, or a price to pay. No matter how it plays out, see it and seize it as opportunity. Expect long term; think in terms of long range. Watch for things to continue to unfold and progress in the week that follows. Venus in opposition to Neptune on Sept 10, it can show you what’s real and what’s not. No matter what transpires, it can be an especially creative, healing, gifting, and opportune transit. By September 14, Venus trine Pluto helps you to nail it down and/or to gain more solid ground.
Pluto stations direct on the Autumn Equinox, Sept 22. The new moon on Sept 23 is conjunct Venus, your ruler. On Sept 25, Jupiter/Uranus peaks. By this point, you should have a much better sense of how things are shaping up and what direction is best for you. Sept 25 is an especially opportune date. Attend an event, introduce yourself, schedule a meeting; set it in motion.
SCORPIO (Oct 23~Nov 22)
You should feel bolstered and ready to hit it full thrust now. Mars continues in your sign to Sept 13. Along with the sun, Venus in Virgo, starting Sept 5, brings an ideal time to make contact, to reach out to the people who keep your world spinning. Go the extra mile, the pay-off will prove worth it. Aim to put on a good show for the boss or your fans. Revise or upgrade your business plan, advertising or message.
The super full moon of Sept 8 or the days that follow can bring the exceptional to pass. Perhaps you’ll gain added exposure or an opportunity you didn’t quite expect. Something you have been seeking or hoping for can shape up quite beautifully. If a problem is revealed, look at it as a saving grace in disguise. Once it’s out in the open, you can get it dealt with and surpassed.
Professionally, materially, personally, things are likely to get cooking for you in the latter portion of the month, especially so once Jupiter/Uranus peak on Sept 25. Some new procedure, tool, product, job, or investment opportunity could appear. It’s an especially lucrative time for scouting missions, fresh start initiatives, contract undertakings, travel, marketing, and new business ventures.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov 22 ~ Dec 21)
Mercury’s advance into Libra on Sept 1 and Venus into Virgo on Sept 5 can see you shift the way you approach the job or the people. You want more and you should have it too. It’s a matter of figuring out what works and what doesn’t. You’ll need to come up with some of the plan by yourself. The stars will help you with the rest.
If it isn’t meant to be, you can’t force it into being. Then again, if it slips through your fingers, know there is something better on the way. Whether through force or the prompt of your inner wisdom, the super full moon on Sept 8 can see you relinquish something that was important to you. Someone of significance can take an exit. If someone in authority changes jobs, it could spell improvement for you.
Also, the super full moon could bring news or something unexpected. Take your time to sort things out, don’t jump to conclusions, and don’t promise more than you can deliver. There are a few more hoops to jump through, a few more steps to take, or a few more conversations to have. Past Sept 14, you should be well on your way. Hitting the “go” button, Mars enters Sagittarius on Sept 13 and will continue in your sign through next month’s eclipses. This transit will revitalize you and keep you going strong. Along with Jupiter’s trine to Uranus which peaks on Sept 25, you should feel that you are hitting a great stride, that you are at your physical, creative, and showman best. Synchronicity will pull extra strings just for you.
CAPRICORN (Dec 22 ~ Jan 19)
Virgo month is one of your best. For the most part, it will hit your refresh button in just the right way. While the month ahead has a few tricky stars, overall you should feel like you are very ready to take this one on. Venus in Virgo, Sept 5 to 29, increases your confidence, your overall sense of wellbeing, your interest level, and opportunities. Formally or not, it’s a great time to get better educated. Scout around for more things to freshen it up. Anything you do to upgrade or make improvement is time, money, or heart well spent.
The super full moon on Sept 8 or the days surrounding it are likely to be quite eventful. There can be news, negotiations, travel, something social and special to attend, a major purchase in the works, etc. While there are good accompanying aspects on this full moon, continue to stay health and safety conscious. Regarding physical, emotional, or psychic levels, you can be especially vulnerable, susceptible, and sensitized. Check your blind-spot, (especially when driving), watch what you touch, and make sure you listen to what is really being said. Try not to buy into the advertising and don’t over project. If it feels too good to be true (or even the opposite – too much to deal with), give it a few more days. By the following weekend, you should feel you have a much better handle on it.
Pluto ends retrograde on the Autumn Equinox, Sept 22. It’s followed by a new moon on Sept 23 and the Jupiter/Uranus peak on Sept 25. You should feel you are on full throttle by then.
AQUARIUS (Jan 20 ~ Feb 18)
You can coast it for the most part over this first week of September, but expect to be completely submerged by the second week.
The super full moon on Sept 8 can fill in an important missing blank, or clue you into a fix that will make all the difference. There’s great potential to resume or revitalize something lucrative or desirable. It can provide the opportunity for someone to come clean with you, or you with them. You could find something that’s been lost – it could be an object, a person, or even your mojo. A mistake can work in your favour. Someone’s misstep, discard, or 2nd hand junk could be your treasure. Too, a contract or major purchase can be in the works. If so, it’s wise to take a little time with it to make sure you are sure as Venus will continue to oppose Neptune through Sept 10.
Jupiter and Uranus work exceptionally well together this month. At peak by Sept 25, together they keep communication, ideas, and interest levels going strong. They make for an easy rapport and for a lively social go of it. It should be easy to create excitement for your products and services. If you are in sales you should find you have a good run of it. Mars in Sagittarius, starting Sept 13 also amplifies your opportunity, intuition, sales, and social pleasure.
PISCES (Feb 19 ~ March 20)
There’s plenty of potential building in the month ahead. Mercury in Libra can stimulate finances or partnership talks. Venus in Virgo, starting Sept 6, can put you in touch with more folks. You’ll get more out of your conversations, meetings, and interactions. It’s a time when you can attract more interest in your products and services. You should find that there’s plenty to pique your interest, socially and intellectually. Romantic possibilities are on the increase too.
The super full moon is in your sign, so you are likely to feel the high tide quite strongly. This will be especially so if you are born on or around Mar 6. This super full moon involves Chiron in Pisces, so you are likely to feel a strong sense of karma or destiny at play. Indeed, you are the chosen one, like it or not. The exceptional may come to pass. To the plus, the full moon can be one of fulfillment or fruition. A contract (business or marriage) shows good prospect. Something of significance can be secured, solidified, launched, or realized. It can be a flourishing time for creativity and romance; for expanding your family, your business or your notoriety. Travel or education is also highly favoured too.
The super full moon week is likely to take you through plenty. It’s an evolution; take it one step at time. Mars in Sagittarius, starting Sept 14, can put you, your career or your family on the move. It bodes well for health and wealth upgrades. You’ll gain even better traction from the Autumn Equinox onward.
