October Forecast Intro:

Will Greece drag the world into the financial undertow? As we continue through Libra month, the economic world is precariously balanced. Will the scales slide to the extreme?

How we conceptualize reality is how we experience reality. The recent market nose-dive provides a ready example of this fact.

Co-operation, co-creation, fair-play, equality, and relationship harmony are Libra’s desire, but when the sign is emphasized as it is now, it is Libra’s task. Quite often, instead of living in peace, we find ourselves living in conflict with the one-sidedness of living, loving, and give and take. We do battle with competing needs, enmeshments, projected expectations, and social injustice.

Taskmaster Saturn has put us through the Libra grind for the past couple of years. On Sept 29, Venus, planet of net-worth and self-worth, conjoined with Saturn. This planetary pairing prompts serious evaluations. It tests relationship viability and commitment levels and puts a serious spin on finances too. (The Greece Prime Minister met with fellow EU leaders for yet another critical round of talks.) On Oct 6, as Mercury and Saturn conjoin, the initial fact gathering, bargaining, and negotiation time runs out, and a sober new reality sets in. When Mercury and Saturn align, we take the fine thin line of reality even more seriously. We are confronted with sober news and tough decisions. It is a time to formalize an agreement, sign a contract, take an official stand, etch it in stone, etc. Positively, it is a time to implement new strategies for success. In order to do so, we must aim precisely at the target. The timing is critical.

As the sun conjoins with Saturn on Oct 13 we come to a fuller consciousness of our existing reality – not our projected version of it – and the work that lies ahead.

Mars, continuing in Leo through November 8, boosts our can-do. In order to create the best case scenario, we have to offer up our best too.  Confidence and courage are the keys to manifesting the reality we seek. Mars squaring Jupiter on Oct 2 puts the play into motion. This aspect is mobilizing, enterprising, and enlarging in scope. With so much at stake, now’s the time to take a leap of faith and implement major initiatives. There’s no time to waste.

The full moon in Aries on Oct 11 can bring relationship polarizations to an extreme. Witness the situation in Greece as the people continue to react and rebel against the austerity measures they are asked to undertake. Somewhere a compromise has to be reached, a deal has to be made. With the moon making a favourable aspect to Mars in Leo, and the Sun conjoined with Saturn, it is likely that this full moon and the days that follow will be a definitive history making-moment for the situation in Greece. It can be in our personal lives too. Facing it head on, a single moment could be the “it” moment that solidifies it all. The potential to accomplish a major win/win, to make a major turnaround, to achieve a successful outcome, is entirely possible.

On the full moon Oct 11, Venus in Scorpio occupies the exact degree of the super new moon on October 26. It’s all about money, sex, and politics. It is about facing shadow, consumption, and waste; what is lost and what is gained, what is morally or materially bankrupt, what needs to be abandoned and what needs to reformed. It is about our obsessions; about confronting the power struggles that exist within us and that envelop us too. It is about finding our passion, about merging deeper and about emerging from the depths of our self-undoing too. From full moon Oct 11 through the new moon Oct 26 and into November, the journey is potent, profound, and transforming.

The Sun and Saturn conjoin on Oct 13; Venus opposes Jupiter on Oct 14 across the Scorpio/Taurus axis; Mercury, ruler of the south node, opposes Jupiter, ruler of the north node, on Oct 17. When compelling and empowering Scorpio is emphasized, there is no more skirting around, it’s all or nothing time.

As the month finishes out and November begins, Jupiter in Taurus trines Pluto in Capricorn. When it comes to facing what must be done, the burden can be great, so too the rewards.

ARIES (March 21- April 19)

So much is coming together for you now. The next few weeks brings a time-is-ripe moment. Mars, continuing in Leo through November 10, thrusts you on a successful personal track. That added can-do confidence puts a special glow around you. Watch for spotlight attention to come your way.

Creative initiatives can generate especially well, so aim for the top and go for what you want. Your public profile and professional popularity can grow substantially, especially in the week of the full moon, Oct 11.

It can be the right time to take an official stand, to legalize, formalize or incorporate.  A marriage proposal can be in the works for some. The high concentration in Libra through the first half of the month can do your professional, social, and love life great justice. Who you know is as important as what you know.
