The new day dawns and December stars are set to drive the point home in no uncertain terms. Whether it is obvious to you or not, a critical no-turning-back line has been crossed. The past is a done deal, fates have been sealed, and it is time to reconcile with the facts. Now advanced into Capricorn (as of Nov 26), transformer Pluto has a specific two-fold agenda to accomplish, to call attention to the accountability ledger and to build it better from here. This is serious business. It is important to make wise choices now, to build reserve for the important battles ahead, to minimize regret and blame, and to maximize on affirmative action taking. The time crunch is on, not only for the US auto industry and Obama’s presidential takeover, but for our private lives too.
Mars and the Sun traveling together turn up the heat, so you can expect the daily intensity to continue through and beyond the Full Moon Dec 12. In addition to the influence of Mars, this Full Moon also engages the Uranus/Saturn opposition, the feature shake-it-up influence that will be with us for the next 2 years. As such, we can expect an outpouring, unleashing, or unhinging of significant proportion to occur. Watch for things to ignite or erupt as early as Dec. 8. The Full Moon features the Gemini/Sagittarius axis, so watch for repeats of significance (both plus and minus) and be especially careful when traveling, connecting, or conveying your message. The potential for accidents, disruption, friction, confrontation and jarring surprise is greatly heightened. A to B can get a lot more complicated. We could see another domino affect and greater volatility re the stock market, money markets and speculative ventures/industries. Aggression, racism, fanaticism, and terrorism can inflame too.
While retailers are sure to worry more about this season’s profit margins, brisk spending is likely to continue while Mars tours Sagittarius through Dec 26. The winter solstice (Dec 21) can nail home the reality shift as the Sun and Pluto team together in Capricorn. Watch for a power struggle or the need to put an end to something more than just your extra running around. Hanukkah begins on Dec 22 with the moon in emotional Scorpio. Christmas day, the Sagittarius moon is befitting for gatherings and spiritual observance. Mercury and Saturn loan patience and tolerance on and off the roads, and suggest a low key mood and a slow pace hits the spot just right. (Road blocks can be visible, take note.) This planetary duo also suggests we can (learn to) be satisfied with less. Presence and intent are the best gifts you can give. Words written and spoken can hold deep impact.
The New Moon in Capricorn Dec 27 ignites an intensified get-down-to-business chapter. Mars in Capricorn conjoining Pluto Dec 28 brings the desire to forge ahead and to put greater distance between the past and the here and now. Perhaps there will be a sense of urgency or a countdown race against the clock. Saturn in its station phase prior to turning retrograde Dec 31 can inhibit our full tilt forward and create a thick or heavy feeling to the atmosphere, somewhat like a pregnant pause as the year comes to a close and we try to sort out our next best course of action. The moon is in social Aquarius during the day on Dec 31, which can make for a lively day, but by evening the moon advances into laidback Pisces, suggesting quiet observance is the best way to ring in the New Year. If you drink, please don’t drive.
ARIES (MARCH 20 – APRIL 19)
Your relationship to the world/your world is about to undergo significant transformation. Whether the process unfolds with a slow and steady gait or you experience a seemingly overnight overturn, the structure of your life is about to undergo a major metamorphosis. For those who have been diligently training and/or paying dues, Pluto’s entrance into Capricorn signals that a time of professional or personal ripening is at hand. For those of you who have been over-extending resources or health and/or running wild with lifestyle choices, know that when the past catches up with you, it can be a harsh dictator. For all of us, time is too precious to waste. Pluto in Capricorn will prompt you or force you to establish better boundaries and to find more effective solutions re those long-standing or chronic issues. You are naturally slated to move into a more authoritative or responsible position, not only re your career, but also re your family position too. Upgrades are well worth the extra money or effort involved.

The New Moon Dec 27 can bring back to work time for some, for others it’s time to get a new plan of attack together. New Year’s Eve, the Moon in Pisces suggests it’s time to curl up cozy and take it as it comes. Romantic or alone with the T.V. is best, if you go out to drink, please taxi home.

Your life is about to turn a corner. Looking at the big picture, Pluto’s advance into Capricorn serves not only to redefine the world around you, but to reshape your future too, and in no uncertain terms. You’ll find ample fortitude and confidence now, so know that you can handle more than usual. Don’t let the extra pressure, the single life, or risk-taking intimidate you, push forward with all your might and keep your sights set on later gain. The low road is a self-destructive one, and it will trap you if you allow yourself to perpetuate self-sabotaging ways. Be forewarned that you can’t tempt fate and expect to get away unscathed. Pluto in Capricorn will enforce accountability, and it will come at you in full force. On the immediate level, Mars in Sagittarius teamed with the Sun can see financial concerns or relationship matters mushroom far beyond what you have anticipated. Dec 11 – 18 intensity can escalate; sudden added expenses can be incurred. Misunderstandings can see a parting of ways. Dec. 21, 22 are good days for travel, sales, to open up to someone important, or simply to create a change of pace. Positively you can develop more consistency with budgets and belt-tightening routines. Of course, you may feel you have little choice, especially if you are reliant on subsidies, commissions, tips, etc. or if your partner’s income reduces. The decline in the real estate market can cause you to rethink your plans. For buyers, your opportune window will continue for some time, there’s no need to race into something now. If you need to sell, see it as a trade-off and to do what’s best for you now. Pluto in Capricorn also finds you becoming more committed and invested in a significant (business or personal) relationship too, whether this occurs in subtle or more obvious ways. When Capricorn is emphasized, it’s important to focus on the long term or long lived. A marriage or some other official move can be in the works for some.
