Monthly Overview:
The eclipses have come, but they are not yet gone in terms of influence. The stars continue to be especially activated. Don’t expect much of a let up.
Last month Mercury was on a fast move, spanning four signs. Freshly into the sign, Mercury will extend its camp-out in Cancer through August 8. The long stay is due to its upcoming retrograde cycle, which happens June 26 to July 20. June 2 to 27, Venus clips through Cancer. Both planets are travelling out of bounds through the middle of June, which is likely to punch up the emotional atmosphere. We’ll feel it, personalize it, and internalize it more in the coming weeks. In addition to home, family, and money matters, Venus and Mercury in Cancer direct more attention toward nurturing, grooming, staging and securing, to self preservation and safeguarding. Also, to the plight of women, children and families who struggle for the most basic of human rights. Mercury and Venus in Cancer will conjoin on June 20 for the second time in 4 weeks. Their last meeting was in Gemini on the lunar eclipse of May 24/25. What information did you receive at that time? Who showed up? How far did you get? June 19, 20 or the days preceding and following could take that information, exchange or experience to the next level. Person, circumstance, idea, or thing, Mercury/Venus can bring the lucrative, the past, the key or the necessary into being. Gemini and Cancer topics are the feature. You could interface with your past in some significant – and of course, karmic – way. The next time Venus and Mercury team up will be in Libra in October of 2014.
Neptune stations retrograde on June 7, while receiving stimulation from both transiting moon and Mars. Expect more information and/or insight to surface. Unlike Mercury, Neptune’s turn to retrograde is usually a subtle influence. In fact it often goes unnoticed, but this may not be the case this time around. What is uncovered, unleashed, or comes unhinged has quite a force to it. To the negative, you/we can be blind-sided, railroaded, duped, etc. To the plus, a hidden advantage, opportunity or saving grace can reveal itself at an optimum moment. Mercury square Uranus on the new moon June 8 keeps the day and the karmic potency on a lively note. This new moon acts as yet another trigger for the lunar eclipse of May 24/25. The transits of June 7 are very potent regarding Syria’s chart and also that of its ruler, Bashar al-Assad. The Neptune/Mars aspect certainly can allude to the use of poison gas. Venus is trine Saturn on this day, so perhaps there can be some effectiveness from organized efforts.
Juno, the contract and commitment asteroid turns retrograde on June 14 in the sign of Aquarius. This influence can turn social and political tides. Chiron in Pisces turns retrograde on June 18. Chiron retrograde can add a clarifying filter. Perhaps you’ll find you suddenly loose interest or steam and that you no longer want to continue along the same course. These retrograde shifts are sure to switch the energy flow. The commitment, drive, or need can be lost or superseded. Perhaps they’ll derail what seemed like a natural next step or sure fire bet. Both influences are suggestive of a karmic revisiting and reworking. The now continues to be infused with more than the usual potency. Every step we take and every choice we make colours in more of the picture.
Although Mercury retrograde doesn’t officially start until June 26, the stars are stage setting as of mid month. As is typical of Mercury retrograde, use extra caution, think safety first, double check everything, and expect to revisit the past in some significant way. Family or a key family member can claim added attention. Mercury retrograde in Cancer can make us more vulnerable, needy, insecure, and sensitized.
Jupiter begins its one year tour of Cancer on June 25, the day before Mercury begins retrograde. Through the middle of August, Jupiter will form a water grand trine with Saturn, Neptune and Chiron. This grand trine supports creativity, ease of rapport, and a more harmonious emotional flow. It suggests the potential for a better, more nourishing home and family life. For some, this water trine is a good time to launch a business, a new career, or a new family. Real estate transactions are favoured too. Of course, there’s always a range of possibilities, and there’s Mercury retrograde to get out of the way first. Make sure you don’t dig yourself in deeper than is wise. The grand trine can also suggest a drain on resources or finances.
The last weekend of the month could be one of push come to shove, or particularly high stress, thanks to the super full moon in Capricorn on June 23. This super full moon can also be a time to tie the knot, pack and move, make it official, or to gain recognition. Coinciding with the end of the school term, Ceres in Leo, starting June 22 and Venus in Leo, starting June 27, increase a sense of “I deserve”. Yes, let’s try to enjoy more and worry less.

ARIES (March 21- April 19)
This first week of June can see you on a race ahead, perhaps unexpectedly so. June 3 can be a good day for creative enterprise or to settle on a course of action. June 5 can be a disruptive or breakthrough day. The weekend of June 8 can dish up a fun and serendipitous social weekend. It can also be a lucrative one. Synchronicity and spontaneity work in your favour.
As stated in the intro, Venus in Cancer and Mercury retrograde can put added attention on home, family and a key family member. Along with the June 20 summer solstice, and Jupiter’s entrance into Cancer on June 26, this month and next is an ideal time to cozy up or to spruce up. If you have important things to tend to, try to get as much as you can handled as early in the month as possible. Still, don’t push what isn’t coming naturally. By the time you get to mid month, you may want to change your mind. Try to build in as much flexibility and leeway for yourself as you can. June 19, 20 can be informing, eye opening, or mobilizing. These dates can produce news, a conversation, opportunity, or meeting of significance, a legal step forward, a major purchase, or financial transaction.
The full moon on June 23 can put you under extra emotional or financial strain, especially so if your birthday falls on Mar 21 – 23. The stars can force you to stay realistic regarding what you can and cannot cope with.
For this next year, Jupiter in Cancer increases involvement and activity at home. Jupiter in Cancer benefits home and personal renovation projects and creative endeavour. It helps you to get back in touch with your deepest yearnings – that which can soothe, nourish, and satiate your heart and soul.
TAURUS (April 20 -May 20)
One thing leads to another. This first half of the month is informing and momentum building, most likely in a multi-platform way. Each day, you’ll learn more about yourself, your wants, needs, resources, and capacities. A lifestyle can be rapidly fading while a new life course is rapidly setting onto solid ground. Both Gemini and Cancer influences favour you now. Life can keep you busier than usual, but for the most part, you’ll say it is unfolding in a good way.
June 1 to 4 can be particularly productive if you choose to apply yourself. June 5 to 7, you can easily miss the point or get off track. Proceed, but play closer attention on these dates. The new moon June 8 can dish up something you didn’t expect. The same goes for the week preceding and following the full moon of June 23.
If you are on the hunt, the week of June 17 can be financially opportune. It can also be a time when you are especially expressive, so if you have something to say or convey, it’s a good time to do it. Of course, once Mercury turns retrograde on June 26, you may want to revisit or revise. It’s wise to consider your efforts and endeavours as works in progress until you get through the retrograde cycle.
Jupiter’s one year tour through Cancer can increase your client base and social network. It can also improve friendship and sibling bonds, and camaraderie among team-mates or co-workers. Jupiter in Cancer is also an ideal transit for writing projects, marketing, relocation, scholastic, education, and transportation upgrades.
Even though Mercury retrograde is only days away, the full moon on June 23 is an appropriate time for a graduation, wedding, or some other official ceremony or step forward. You can gain a legitimate status such as citizenship or an official position, or gain recognition or reward.
As is typical of Mercury retrograde, expect to cross paths with folks from your past.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21)
June begins with Mars on a fresh tour of Gemini. The action planet invigorates you physically and puts life on a faster spin through the middle of July. In alignment with Pallas through the new moon on June 8, you could find are more feisty and frisky than usual. Mars/Pallas may spark more than one “genius” moment. You may not know why you said what you did or why you took action or had such a reaction, but trust your instincts, they are likely to keep a step ahead of you. Inspiration and enthusiasm comes readily. That pumped up fighting spirit should work well for you too.
Neptune’s turn to retrograde on June 7 can dissolve a personal block or an actual barrier. It can also temporary dissipate your determination or commitment level. It may be a challenge to stay on track with your regimes, requirements, or commitments, but forgive yourself – after all, you are only human. The new moon on June 8 could put you on a fast bounce back, but inconsistency is likely to be par for the course for a better portion of the month. Take it moment to moment and ride the good waves when you spot them. The week of June 17 can produce one of your better and/or more lucrative peaks of the month. June 19, 20 could put you on a move or bring increase or more.
June 23 – 25 could bring favourable dealings with those in charge. These days are good for business, work, working it out, for research, promotion, planning, or for health related matters. Leave yourself an exit plan though. Mercury retrograde can redirect you unexpectedly and/or can increase your need, your costs, or your overhead. Mercury retrograde in Cancer can threaten your emotional or financial security. The cycle will force you to review your financial bottom lines and in the long run, that can only do you good. On the positive, Mercury retrograde can help you to tap into personal resources, talents, and assets that you have under-valued, under-played, or under-estimated. Ceres (June 21) and Venus (June 27) into Leo, upgrades your self confidence and sense of deserving. Both these planets help you to get more out of yourself, your activities, and your social life.
CANCER (June 22-July 22)
On pause no longer, you are likely to feel a major inner and outer shift as June begins. This is due to Venus, Mercury, and Mars freshly into new signs. All three unlock potentials while increasing creativity and opportunity. What has been beyond your grasp will now come into clearer view. Watch for Neptune’s turn to retrograde on June 7 to sharpen your viewfinder. It’s time to broaden the scope or search, and to diversify. Along with Mars, the Gemini new moon on June 8 sparks insight and uncovers fresh options. Something just to the side of what you have been considering may be just the ticket.
The days leading up to the summer solstice can be particularly mobilizing and ripe for the taking. Jupiter teamed with the sun and Venus teamed with Mercury increase your ability to express, connect, promote, map, and move. They are optimal for finances, relationship and scholastic matters, for speculative ventures, introductions, travel, sports or team involvement, and legal undertakings. Official steps, announcements, and contracts are favoured by the June 23 full moon.
Setting your life on a new course, Jupiter in Cancer, starting June 25, begins a new twelve year cycle. Jupiter makes you aware of how far you have come and how much further you need to go. Jupiter is well supported by Saturn, Neptune, and Chiron for the next couple of months. Whether you choose it or it’s forced upon you, this water grand trine helps you to transition with ease. Mercury retrograde, June 26 to July 20, puts you through an intensified revisit, rethink, and regroup cycle. Use this time to check in with yourself again, to monitor your emotions, needs, and desires. Can you see objectively? Are you being honest with yourself? Mercury retrograde is an ideal time to take a step back in order to let life’s course and life’s answers grow on you. Go with the flow and give yourself extra time to heal, relax, and to sort it all out.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)
You should feel a psychological or actual ease up now. Mars in Gemini gets it rolling for you better. You can make better use of your dollars, your contact list, and your opportunities. While the sun and Mars in Gemini can keep you on the go and boost your social activities, Mercury and Venus in Cancer want to cozy up. You are likely to find yourself drawn to camping out on your own more. One on one can hold more appeal than hanging out with the crowd. If you are going to spend your precious time or money, you’ll want it to amount to something of good value. Too, Mercury and Venus can see you ease up on the throttle. You may feel you deserve to coast for awhile – and that’s alright too.
Once the sun (June 20) and Jupiter (June 25) dip into Cancer, you’ll get even more entrenched. Jupiter will spend a year soaking it up in Cancer’s ocean. Well aligned with Saturn, Neptune and Chiron through mid August, it’s a peak time to allow the wisdom of your heart and your soul to unwrap their truths, no matter how long that takes. Stay hopeful and watch for inspiration to grow naturally from there. Jupiter in Cancer can open up a creative wellspring, especially for writers, musicians, dancers, actors, etc. Volunteer activities are also highly recommended. To be sure, you’ll receive more than you give.
Mercury retrograde, June 26 to July 20, is an ideal time to take a vacation, to pick up where you left off with people or projects, or to let yourself coast or float for awhile longer. Mercury retrograde can make you more susceptible or vulnerable, so guard your health, pump up on vitamins and other good for you routines. Think safety first, put extra safeguards in place. If you find yourself sinking deeper into an addiction or an emotional or financial corner, remember that no matter what it looks like to you, you are never truly alone or without options. Even if you have to hunt for it, help is always available. Believe it and then reach out for it.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Through the middle of July, Mars keeps you focused on a personal or professional goalpost – and perhaps both. While Jupiter and the sun in Gemini help you to make better than usual progress, off and on through the month the stars challenge your ability to stay consistent. You may falter or backtrack a little along the way, but you’ll still find yourself further ahead than you were just a short time ago.
Both Venus and Mercury in Cancer make for good a social flow. Friendship, sibling, and relationship bonds can grow. Relationships with professional contacts are also building. Jupiter in Cancer, starting June 25, brings you more to shoot for too. Along with the sun in Cancer, starting June 20, you should find your self confidence and sense of deserving on a good growth curve. In turn, you’ll find you can express yourself and communicate your needs with greater ease.
The week of June 17 through the full moon of June 23 brings plenty of opportunity. You could find yourself at a professional, scholastic or personal peak. Promote yourself, get on road or the move, or scout for better opportunity. The sun and Jupiter, Venus, and Mercury can bring added attention, notoriety, visitors, a job change or upgrade, an official status, a major announcement, gift, award, or win. An added insight is well worth putting to good use. Follow intuition and inspiration. Added expense or a large purchase is possible around this time too.
June 26 to July 20, Mercury retrograde can keep you second guessing yourself or another. Where-ever you can, especially prior to the cycle, build yourself extra leeway, or an easy way out. Build a financial cushion or emergency fund so you have something extra to fall back on. Make sure you have the option to cancel out or return it if you want to. These provisions may or may not be necessary, but they will give you more peace of mind. As is typical of the cycle, expect to run into people from your past and/or to revisit something you thought was laid to rest.
LIBRA (Sept 22-Oct 22)
You’ll enjoy the refreshing boost of energy, confidence, and social opportunity provided by Mars in Gemini. Whether through formal studies, the school of life or scouting around for what have you, you’ll get yourself better educated this month too.
Just before the new moon on June 8, Mars could deliver surprise news or opportunity. Too, the stars could help you to surpass a creative block and/or to move onto gain rather than drain. Should you find that you run out of work or ideas to try, know you won’t stay lost for long. Allow for synchronicity to rev it up for you.
If you are sensitive enough, you’ll notice when the stars are working for you and when they aren’t quite synchronized. Seize the moment when you feel it/see it and trust your intuition to guide you. Don’t push what isn’t coming naturally.
Venus and Mercury in Cancer puts added attention on responsibilities and needs. A family member could require extra attention or support, especially while Mercury is retrograde, June 26 to July 20. Keep alert at the start of the month and aim to get better clued in. Mercury retrograde also targets finances, professional undertakings, and family plans. You may need to borrow or to renegotiate with the bank. If so, try to do it earlier rather than later in the month to avoid potential retrograde snafus.
As is typical of Mercury retrograde, you can face less control and gain more headaches. Whatever the cycle uncovers for you, its ultimate aim is healing and correction. Things happen for a reason. Facilitating stars suggest improvement is your net gain.
The full moon on June 23 can bring you to a significant finish line. You could find yourself under added strain, but slow your emotions down and you’ll fair just fine. Jupiter in Cancer, beginning June 25, benefits your personal life and career aspirations for this next year. You may take on a mortgage or such, but the added responsibility is something you want to do – and it is a means to a desirable end.
SCORPIO (Oct 23~Nov 22)
June’s start keeps you on a big push. It seems you have something to say or convey. You are likely to stay in an intensified drive mode through to the new moon on June 8. Not that you’ll stop trying to get the message across of course, just the stars will be on a shift of momentum. Neptune’s turn to retrograde on June 7 can find you ready to switch off performer mode and to indulge in more of life’s good stuff. Still the new moon keeps you focused on a double track – finances and relationships.
Venus and Mercury in Cancer can put more attention on the long distance and the long range. A trip home to visit family or places you’ve visited previously is well timed. Perhaps there’s a special reason to make the trip.
Have you been considering your options for awhile? Jupiter’s advance into Cancer, a one year tour starting June 25, delivers an appropriate time to take the big plunge and to make your move. Relocation, perhaps to stay closer to family, or to return to a place you’ve lived previously, can be a good idea. It will increase your personal, social, and material prospects. Jupiter in Cancer is also an ideal influence for writing projects, more study, additional marketing, or for heading in a new career direction. For some, Jupiter’s transit through Cancer can signal romantic opportunity, even wedding bells. It’s also one that can put you out there on the world stage in some more significant way.
The full moon June 23 or days around it can see you cross an important threshold. It can be a time to sign an important contract, to make an official announcement, to end or begin a project, study, or relationship. A few days later, Mercury will turn retrograde, so know that there can be more to deal with or further to go. As is typical of the retrograde cycle, June 26 to July 20 can necessitate that you revisit issues, discussions, promises, and commitments; that you retrace your steps, revise plans, or strategies. On a lighter note, Mercury retrograde is an ideal time to put yourself on vacation mode.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov 22 ~ Dec 21)
Mercury and Venus take an exit out of Gemini, but Mars will keep the conversation lively through the middle of July. Mars in Gemini can also keep you competing with yourself, or another, or battling it out with your circumstances. This push/pull or “two steps forward, one back” routine can increase at the end of the month when Mercury turns retrograde. Even so, there are times through-out the month when same page accord comes easily and naturally, breakthroughs are made, and life rolls along quite well. The new moon sets you on an upswing. The summer solstice can bring it together beautifully for you too. June 18 – 22, you can find that head, heart, perception, creativity, luck and opportunity are working at peak.
Neptune’s turn to retrograde on June 7 finds you tuning in deeper to your soul urges and tuning out the outside world just a little more. If you can allow it room to surface, you’ll tap a rich creative reservoir. Along with the planets transiting through Cancer, Neptune retrograde intensifies your intuitive capacity and emotional sensitivity meter. You may feel the need to seek more sanctuary, to cover yourself with a thicker blanket.
An emotional or financial reassessment is appropriate while Mercury is retrograde, June 26 to July 20. The full moon June 23 can bring you to a point of finalization or find you ready to make a significant commitment or decision. If it isn’t meant to be, it’s a time to move on. June 30 is the time to set yourself free and to get a move on, and/or to dive into something new.
CAPRICORN (DEC 22~JAN 19)
Don’t expect the intensity to subside, but do expect to get better acclimatized, and to see a good level of progress. Mercury and Venus in Cancer keep the emotional barometer going strong. Neptune’s turn to retrograde on June 7 can bring a surprise release. This can be a day when you are compelled to take action or speak up, when you just can’t help yourself. It’s good to get things out and into the open. To the minus, know that the alcohol, sugar, or other vices can have stronger impact than at other times. To the plus, Venus in trine to Saturn on June 7 can be productive and lucrative. It suggests things can come together quite well, so feel free to sign on or up. The Gemini new moon on June 8 suggests there’s room to grow, improve, heal, or fix. This new moon launches a new work, working it out, or health chapter, sudden insights and breakthroughs are possible. It’s an ideal time to try a new angle, to interview for a job, for fresh starts and technology or transportation upgrades. A significant purchase is best undertaken earlier in the month. Even so, make sure you have a good warrantee or are able to return it should you find it flawed or simply want to change your mind. Juno’s turn to retrograde on June 14 is a time when you may want to break a contract or back out of a commitment.
The Capricorn full moon on June 23 finds you especially driven to get through to someone, to wrap up something of importance, or to get something new off the ground. You could be working to complete a major purchase or project, etc. A new personal or professional status could be in the works too. You’ll be especially occupied with this objective in the week prior to and following the full moon.
June 25, Jupiter begins its one year tour of Cancer. This transit can signify an increased professional profile or more social involvement. Whether new or already committed, a heart to heart relationship can grow closer. For some, Jupiter in Cancer can increase the family fold. On the other hand, a relationship that no longer serves can grow further apart. Mercury retrograde, June 26 to July 20, puts an added spotlight on those you love or need to support. The one-sidedness of relationship/of give and take can get to you. Conversations can be emotional, but it’s good to get things out in the open. Try to respond, not react. The cycle is good for vacations and a switch into summer mode. Also, to reconnect with those you haven’t seen for awhile.
AQUARIUS (Jan 20 ~ Feb 18)
The new moon on June 8 can be reaffirming in some personal way. It’s an ideal time to schedule a first meet and greet, or to dive into something new. Neptune’s turn to retrograde on June 7 can work to the plus as it gives you access to the deeper layers of your own creative reservoir. In other words, you should find you naturally become more resourceful and that you are gaining deeper insights. Along with Venus and Mercury in Cancer in your health, work, and working-it-out sector, you should find you are better tuned in to your body’s needs and that you are also sensitized to the needs of those around you. Overall you should find you are making good progress for yourself on and off the job. Having said that, just when you think it’s all running smoothly, the stars can be disruptive. The best you can do is to make the most of it while the getting is good, and adjust or put it on chill when you notice the reins are not in your hands.
Juno turn to retrograde on June 14 can see you quit or cancel out of something that isn’t in your best interest. The week of June 17 can see you cover and gain more than the usual ground. This can be your most productive and advantaged week of the month.
The Capricorn full moon on June 23 can put you under added financial, physical or emotional strain or obligation. If you can back-out or get away from it all, great. If not, carry on, but don’t do more than is required. Remember reasonable boundaries, and hold some of yourself in reserve.
Are you getting enough reward and satisfaction out of your life? Jupiter’s one year tour of Cancer, beginning June 25 puts increased attention on your growing needs, on health and diet, on creating/finding better job security and building a better financial cushion. Also of increased concern are matters to do with family health and welfare.
June 26 to July 20, Mercury retrograde calls attention to the shortfall, the vulnerable spots, the unresolved past, and necessary repair work, actual, emotional, and financial. The cycle can play havoc with plans and schedules and push you out of your comfort zone. Think health and safety first.
PISCES (Feb 19 ~ March 20)
While it’s usually a subtle influence, it isn’t likely to be this time. Neptune’s turn to retrograde on June 7 flicks a major switch. You could hit a fresh page you didn’t anticipate. With Mars in a triggering aspect, your emotions are likely to overtake you. The end of this first week of June can be one of news, secrets revealed and hidden opportunity. A wonderful creative flow can overtake you. Neptune retrograde is a great influence for tuning in and for artistic expression. On the cautionary note, you can say something or hear something revealing, or talk yourself into spending, doing, or giving away more than you should. This Mars/Neptune aspect can be feisty, inspired, exposing, unleashing, or releasing in some unexpected way. Please think safety first, double-check your blind-spots and be especially careful when driving, etc. Be careful what you touch, you can be susceptible to bacterial infections, etc. Also, make sure to double-check information or advertising.
The new moon on June 8 can signal a fresh start for home and family related matters.
It’s an ideal time to start the hunt for a new address, or to start packing the boxes. It can also be a good weekend for garage sales, entertaining at home, etc.
Venus in Cancer, June 2 to 27, can perk up your love life or social life. It is also favourable for career and family matters. Whether you say it with words, vibes, or body language, Mercury in Cancer finds you especially expressive. June 18 – 20, things can come together quite beautiful.
Mercury retrograde, June 26 to July 20, is a time to rekindle with loved ones and favourite folk. Of course, the usual retrograde warnings are in effect. Place safety and security at the top of the list, allow yourself an extra financial leeway, and build flexibility into your plans and schedule.
Starting June 25, Jupiter’s one year tour through Cancer occupies one of the best positions of your chart. Children, creativity, career, social and love life benefit from this Jupiter placement. It can be a time of increased opportunity, solidification, and fulfilment where you desire it the most.
