Overview:
Did you slog through the holidays? That’s over now. Mars in opposition to Jupiter on New Year’s Day starts 2015 on a major forward thrust initiative. While the moon/Saturn opposition could get the morning off to a slow or late start by mid-day, it’s full steam ahead. This Mars/Jupiter transit has prompted yet another big drop in the oil price. It’s can be a high volume travel day, but you don’t have to go far to get your kicks. You can make it happen right where you are. Mars/Jupiter also sets a great backdrop for a brunch party, for TV and sports entertainment.
Mars/Jupiter a think bigger, do more, and go further transit. Jupiter is in retrograde, but far from holding you back, it should inspire you to create more of your heart’s desire. Mars in Aquarius can be illuminating in some striking or stand out way. Too, it can prompt you to think outside of the box, to be more of a risk taker or innovator.
Also in the mood to hit a fresh page, Venus (Jan 3), and Mercury (Jan 4) trek into Aquarius on the full moon weekend. January 4 could start out just fine, but by evening, the full moon forms tension to Uranus (square) and Pluto (opposition.) Watch for something to crop up that requires your immediate attention. There can be an upset, a confrontation or battle of wills. Emotions, nerves, or family dynamics can be strained. On other hand, the full moon can simply suggest restlessness to get on with what’s next, and/or an ideal time for a change of scenery.
Mars in Pisces, Jan 12 to Feb 19, will energize that which has already been on brew, but that may have gone unnoticed. The influence of Mars in Pisces is one that allows, opens up, tunes in, releases, or exposes. It is a creative energy, one that prompts exploration through imagination, creativity, romance, or the spiritual quest. On the other hand, Mars in Pisces can diffuse the focus or make us feel confused, vulnerable, susceptible or disillusioned. We can easily lose sight of the target. The immune system can come under attack so please pump up on safeguards and vitamins.
Mars in Pisces also raise mass consciousness and trends. Something that is already on brew could surface in your private life or make headline news around mid month as Mars forms a tension aspect (square) to Saturn on Jan 14 and conjoins Neptune on Jan 19. This Mars activation could set the wheels in motion for upcoming Mercury retrograde cycle. Through circumstances or a key individual, watch the end of January for an opening or opportunity, a new angle, twist, or creative solution. It could be a mobilization time regarding social trends, politics, economics, science, matters to do with oil, exploration, the weather, etc.
Jan 20 delivers a super new moon in Aquarius. Mercury in Aquarius stations retrograde on Jan 21. By now you most likely know the Mercury retrograde advice drill. Safeguard your computer, cell phones, electronics, etc. While there can be fun reconnections and surprise re-meets, Mercury retrograde can create complications regarding relating, communications, friendships or group, community, or team involvements. You could get drawn into something you didn’t expect. Someone could pull the plug on you, or vice versa. Trends could reverse their course. Mercury retrograde in Aquarius can also ignite more social unrest and protests. Emancipation or independence movements can gain more traction. Again, take note that the unexpected is quite probable. Watch for opportunity, don’t sweat the small stuff, and aim for creative solutions.

ARIES (March 21- April 19)
Mars in Aquarius puts you on “ready, set, go” right out the starting gate. Outside of the full moon tension on Jan 4, you should find the sailing is fairly smooth through mid month. The full moon in Cancer can play on your comfort level, security level, or vulnerabilities. You could be challenged by home matters, real estate issues, or family. Be especially careful re medicines, food, water, and road safety. Try not emotions get the better of you. Plan to ease up on the throttle and to go with the flow as of Jan 12 when Mars treks into Pisces. If you can do this, you’ll be better prepared for Mercury’s retrograde tour starting Jan 21.
You’ll reconnect with folks once Mercury is retrograde. The cycle can also bring up something unexpected with a friend, colleague, or group involvement. You could completely change your mind, opinion, or goal. As stated in the intro, stay alert for opportunity and try something new on for size.
Jan 12 to Feb 19, Mars in Pisces put your creativity and/or potentials on brew. The end of February through April will put you and life on full thrust.
Saturn in Sagittarius will progressively cement the direction forward. 2015 can provide a preview or it will get you more fully situated on the platform. After August, Jupiter in Virgo will help you to make productive improvement where you’ll appreciate it the most.
TAURUS (April 20 -May 20)
Mars in opposition to Jupiter could start the year with a personal, professional, or family push/pull, but beyond this, Mars/Jupiter should help you to get your rear in gear quite well. Yes, it’s time to get new attitude and a new life, to reinvent it from the ground up; – or at the very least, to set a new paving stone in place. More freedom of mind and heart, greater independence is where it’s at. Thinking of starting your own business? It’s a good idea but from Jan 21 to Feb 11, Mercury retrograde could set you off to a bumpy start. You are better off to keep it on brew until after the retrograde cycle is over, (end of Feb through May) or put if off until mid August onward so that you can take advantage of Jupiter in Virgo. Mercury retrograde can also bring difficulty with a parent, a boss or some other authority figure. Don’t expect for things to go as expected and/or life to keep on an even keel.
Venus and Mars in Aries are sure to fire it up for you at the end of February and into March. Whether out of necessity or desire, Saturn’s trek into Sagittarius will keep you ambitious on the material and professional fronts. If your intimate relationship is solid, you’ll see it on a significant growth curve. If it isn’t, the distance between the two of you will grow.
Jupiter’s one year tour through Virgo, starting mid August can be empowering. It will help you to get more creative and to make major improvements in health, wealth, and matters to do with heart.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21)
Despite a slow start to the day, Mars in Aquarius has you good to go as of Jan 1. Venus (Jan 3) and Mercury (Jan 4) into Aquarius also offer you a can-do boost. Despite the trench you may have dug for yourself over the holidays or the unexpected emotional tension that the Cancer full moon on Jan 4 brings, you won’t find yourself dwelling on it for long. The first back-to-it week of the month should prove to be productive and easy to take.
Use the first half of the month to give yourself a good jump-start. Mars in Pisces on Jan 12 could drain your energy, enthusiasm, or ambition. On the other hand, to the plus, this Mars transit can turn a potential into something more real or substantial.
Mercury in Aquarius begins retrograde on Jan 21. As it typical of the cycle, you are likely to reconnect with folks who live near or far. It’s a good time to cut out for a vacation, to brush up news or training, resume that writing project or to revamp your social profile or marketing. Regarding the bigger picture, Mercury retrograde can thrust you into a rethink about your future. Is life shaping up the way you wanted it to? Do you see good potential on the road ahead? Is there an alternate path or lifestyle that is tantalizing you? Yes, by all means, explore more options.
For the next couple of years, Saturn in Sagittarius will keep you on an important development track. Where do you want to go? Saturn will help you to pinpoint the direction forward with better precision. You’ll eventually get clearer regarding ideas and involvements. The transit will urge you or force you to establish better credentials, consistency, skill sets, and boundaries. Along the way you’ll hone a status, an expertise, or a reputation. Saturn asks you to aim higher and to put maximum effort in order to get the goods. Through August, Jupiter in Leo keeps you socially and creatively stimulated. Helping you to optimize on the moment, to communicate and perform at your best, Jupiter keeps you on a good growth curve. As of August forward, Jupiter in Virgo puts you to work on home, personal, or family improvements.
CANCER (June 22-July 22)
Mars in opposition to Jupiter on Jan 1 and the Cancer full moon on Jan 4 push the refresh button in some significant way. A new attitude or plan can only do you good. Don’t waste a precious minute. Now’s the time to hit the ground running. Venus and Mercury in Aquarius help you to gain a fresh perspective, to think and dialogue along new lines. Along with Mars in Aquarius, you should find yourself quicker on the uptake. On the other hand, all three of these planets can suggest that you don’t have as good handle on your finances as you will once you get moving on your betterment program.
By Jan 12, Mars exits Aquarius for Pisces. Mars in Pisces sets up a more natural flow or progression. You’ll explore and entertain possibilities with greater ease. Just a word of caution though. While it is great to open yourself up, things that sound good and/or grab you in the moment may not hold up the test of time once Mercury turns retrograde. A relationship, plan or opportunity could get derailed. Too, the unexpected could be costly. Mercury retrograde is okay for trial runs, renegotiations or for further research. If you are at the start of a job, try not to get overly stressed about the learning curve. Stay on top of the details, keep good notes, admit when you make mistakes, and ask for extra help if you it. A second opinion, more tests, or a rethink may be necessary while Mercury is retrograde.
Saturn in Sagittarius puts more pressure on work, health, and working it out. Additional training can be wise or necessary. Aim for a specialty; upgrade skills to give yourself an extra edge. Consider relocation.
The end of February through April is likely to be an exceptionally fired up time for personal life matters. A new address could be yours. September/October is another great launch pad time.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)
Mars in opposition to Jupiter in Leo on Jan 1 can set bigger wheels in motion and/or prompt you to take a leap of faith. Let “I desire”, “I deserve”, or “I love” be your fuel of choice. Once Mars advances into Pisces, it will be a time to go with the flow rather than to push or to race on. Mercury retrograde, Jan 21 to Feb 11 could find you on an unexpected backtrack with someone or something. Health or repairs could sidetrack you too. Don’t take chances with your data, devices, or car. On the other hand, Mercury retrograde can get you reconnected or provide a second chance. Re-meets or revisits are quite typical of the cycle.
Jupiter in Leo continues in retrograde until mid April. This transit gives you added time to figure yourself out. February through July, Jupiter maintains a trine relationship to Uranus. It’s a creative possibility combo. Watch for opportunity and synchronicity to bless you. By mid August, Jupiter will leave your sign, but you’ll still reap its benefits. Mid August onward will be a time to get to work, to make fuller use of the resources you’ve discovered and opportunities that have opened up for you in the first half of the year.
After the past couple of years of pressure on your home, family and material bottom-lines, Saturn’s advance into Sagittarius should offer some level of relief. Of course, where-ever Saturn goes, there’s something more to address. Through June, Saturn benefits health, personal development, career, children and love life, helping you to expand and grow in some tangible way. Note that for 2015, Saturn will be more influential if you are born in the first few days of Leo (July 23 to 28). If you are born later in the sign, Saturn will work its way to you in the coming years.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Jan 1st, you might need an extra push to get yourself started, but it won’t take you long to get up to full speed. The full moon weekend will keep you busy with one thing after another.
You’ll gain a fresh wind as both Venus and Mercury trek into Aquarius over the full moon weekend. Although there’s a new schedule or other adjusting to do, back-to-it-week should be fairly productive and smooth running. It shouldn’t take very long to get yourself into good groove. By the time Mars enters Pisces on Jan 12, you should feel that you are up and running fairly well. This Mars transit will keep you deeply immersed through the rest of this month and most of next. Mars in Pisces also finds you more open and receptive. On the other hand, emotional vulnerability can increase. Make sure to pump up your immune system and don’t buy into the advertising. Mars in Pisces stirs potentials of all kinds. From one extreme to another, it can rev up a romance or bring a relationship conflict out into the open. It can also make you more consciously aware of your own dilemmas or self undoing. If it surfaces, there’s likely a good reason for it. Look at it as a necessary pathway to healing, improvement, or resolution.
Just as you feel you are getting a good handle it, Mercury turns retrograde. Jan 21 to Feb 11 can play havoc with your day to day get-go. Work, health, schedule issues, equipment repairs, etc. are all typical targets of the cycle. Mercury turns retrograde in Aquarius, a sign that correlates to all things technical, mechanical, and electrical. (Note that electrical also refers to energy fields, chakras, etc.) Weird or unexpected things can crop up with your computer, your nervous system, a friend, co-worker, group, or community involvement. A legal matter could get derailed or more complicated. Don’t take unnecessary chances, listen to your premonitions, follow your instincts, make sure your parking meter is paid up, etc. Mercury retrograde can be good transit for working the kinks out of the system, for revisions, a trial or experimentation process, short term training, skills upgrades, and research projects.
Through August, Jupiter in Leo benefits you from the background. It builds confidence and stirs both career and romantic potentials. By mid August onward, Jupiter in Virgo will show you more of what you are working with and what you have to gain. Jupiter points you more clearly toward your future/in the direction of “better and best”.
To the plus, Saturn in Sagittarius can solidify your future in some more obvious or concrete way. It can help you to get better grounded and more solidly on track. Your career, business, or family life can take off in a new direction. Whether you down size, become a home owner, or move out to start your adult life, Saturn in Sagittarius could manifest a new address. Then again, if that new address, etc. isn’t on the roster for sooner, it could be for later. For 2015, Saturn’s transit will significant if you are born Aug 23 to 28, or if you have planets in early degrees. If you are born later in the sign, Saturn won’t hit your chart until next year or the one that follows.
Libra (Sept 22-Oct 22)
Whether you have something special lined up for New Year’s Day or it is simply a mood, Mars in Aquarius is likely to keep you energized. It’s a good running start. Despite whatever pressure the Cancer full moon weekend may deliver, Venus (Jan 3) and Mercury (Jan 4) into Aquarius also pump you full of positive fuel. One way or another, Job, health, or fix-it wise, Mars in Pisces, starting Jan 12, will put you back to work. As is typical of Mercury retrograde, Jan 21 to Aug 11, watch for unexpected repeats, re-meets, expenses, or health flare-ups. The cycle is one that could either get you plugged back in, or find you more distanced or separate. It is an appropriate time to cut-out for awhile, to take a vacation, to take time out to study, create, or explore. Mars and Venus in Aries, starting at the end of February is sure to fire up something. Still, Jupiter will continue in retrograde until April. Continue to keep checking in with yourself and appreciate that the growth cycle has several stages to it. Through June, Saturn in Sagittarius helps you to get a better feel for where you are headed. Look to both the spring and fall eclipses as a major forward thrust time. Venus will retrograde from July 25 to Sept 6. It’s an ideal time to plan a vacation. Beyond that, it is an important/critical time for creative review development, money matters, and for sorting out affairs of the heart.
SCORPIO (Oct 23~Nov 22)
Goodbye to 2014, hello 2015. You’ll hit the ground running right from the Jan 1 get-go. Mars in opposition to Jupiter can stir up extra excitement or possibilities. Together they can act as a stimulant, springboard, or provoking influence. Along with the full moon on Jan 3, the transits are appropriate for ending or for beginning your travel.
Mars in Aquarius can keep you especially busy with new projects, ideas, activities, or people matters through Jan 12. Past Jan 12, Mars in Pisces should put you into an easier flow, although there are other transits that may cause added friction or headaches in the week before Mercury turns retrograde on Jan 21.
Mercury retrograde in Aquarius can dish up unexpected home repairs, or a health or family issue flare-up. You may need to refinance. Feel free to change agents, to get a second opinion, to seek the advice of a specialist, to go for another test, to do more research. As you probably know, the retrograde cycle is never a good time to sign a contract, mortgage, or lease, but if you have to, go with something temporary or short term. (Mind you, you are wise to borrow while the rates are so low.) Among the range of possibilities, the cycle could see a real estate, home renovation, or business matter get sidetracked or altogether derailed. If the deal does fall apart, know that it paves the way for something better. To the plus, Mercury retrograde could see you come up with a great idea or creative solution.
Through the middle of August, Jupiter in Leo will continue to put a major spotlight on your career and professional sector. Use the transit to call attention to yourself and to put on the best show you can. Saturn’s exit out of Scorpio and into Sagittarius will continue to keep you ambitious. SAGITTARIUS (Nov 22 ~ Dec 21)

You can expect to feel buzzed up through the full moon weekend, thanks not only to the emotional full moon, but also to the transits of Venus and Mercury into Aquarius. You should find you have plenty of fresh ideas and things to talk about. Get as much as you can said and done in this first two weeks. Although Venus and Mercury will continue in Aquarius, as of Jan 12, Mars treks into Pisces. This switch will find you craving more peace and quiet. It’s a good transit for soul searching and for feeling your way along. Mercury’s retrograde cycle, Jan 21 to Feb 11 is also an appropriate time to back-off your social involvements in order to regroup. Necessity, health, a particular project, goal, legal issue, or relationship matter can claim more time and attention from you too. Mercury retrograde can also dish up added expenses, transportation issues, or communication problems. Heed warning cycles, back up your computer data, make sure your phone’s charged up, etc. On the other hand, there can be an opportunity to revisit, revise, improve, and upgrade; to trouble shoot, or discover a new avenue or solution. You could be gifted with a second chance.
Saturn in Sagittarius will put add pressure on you to get down to business if you are born Nov 22 to 27, or if you have planets in the first few degree of Sagittarius. If you are born later in the sign, Saturn is still working its way to you (look to 2016 and 2017). While Saturn can be a draining or sobering influence, it is one that can bring you to an important time is ripe moment. Maximum effort will be needed. As we astrologers always advise with Saturn, the equation is very simple: do the work, you’ll earn the reward. What’s important to you? What are your most pressing priorities? Are you taking these priorities or your ambitions seriously? If not, why not? The longer you drag it out, the longer you’ll have to fight your way through the process. If you face whatever is before you with a roll up your sleeves attitude, the going is much easier to handle. Aim to gain productive accomplishment, to make each step you take amount to something of significance, even if it is simply to know for yourself that you gave it your best shot.
Jupiter, your ruler, continues in Leo through mid August. While in retrograde, there’s still more working it out or climbing to do, but look to the second half of February through Aries month to pump you full of great fuel.
CAPRICORN (Dec 22 ~ Jan 19)
Mars in opposition to Jupiter on Jan 1 can make you excited to see what’s on the roster for next. Then again, perhaps it has thrust you into something unexpected in the relationship or finance department. You can feel quite emotional through the full moon weekend. Perhaps there’s added guesswork or sorting out to do. If you feel challenged in this way, give it a wait and see. Things will have a way of sorting themselves out, perhaps even better than you anticipate. Jan 5 can be a busy, yet fairly smooth running week. The following week can be up and down, but over all it too should prove productive. Watch for time to evaporate over the next couple of weeks.
Mercury retrograde, Jan 21 to Feb 11, is likely to keep you especially well occupied. It’s an important time for a rethink or a revision. How is it shaping up for you? Is it what you wanted to create? To the plus it can give you a larger degree of separation so that you can gain a better perspective. A review of objectives, goals, projects, or finances can be necessary. It’s also time to revisit an important conversation. You might want to back out of promise or a relationship involvement, or to give more serious thought to “plan B”. Unexpected expenses or repairs are also typical of the retrograde cycle.
Saturn in Sagittarius refortifies you from an inner or background position through mid June. This switch takes the attention off your social world and helps you to better integrate the life-style changes you’ve already made. Through June, Jupiter in Leo will continue to be a confidence and “I deserve” builder. These transits continue to help you build a better foundation for your future.

Look to Saturn in Sagittarius to give you something more substantial to aim for. The goalpost can be within sight. Something you’ve been hoping for or working toward can be realized, or at the very least, you’ll gain better ground with it. Your lifestyle or income can change in some significant way too.
Mid February through the end of April sets you on a major forward thrust. It’s a time to experiment, take risks, break new ground, to meet new people, explore fresh avenues and options. Jupiter’s transit through Leo will continue to provide lucrative opportunity through August. Be an attention getter, claim more of the spotlight for yourself; shine on; create it. Your social and/or romantic life can benefit from this Jupiter transit. Someone of significance or impact can enter or exit your life. What do you desire? What do you want? Go seeking while your prospects are on the rise, you just might find.

As of Jan 12 when Mars enters Pisces, you’ll hit full steam ahead. You should find your motivation is in ample supply. What resolutions or promises have you made to yourself? Aim to make full use of your time and opportunity while you have ample fresh fuel in the tank. The window is short. As of Jan 21, Mercury retrograde can cause you to loose that good running start. Sidetracks, derailment, time wasters, and added expense are all typical of the cycle. Mercury retrograde takes place in the background or hidden area of your chart. You could be directly or indirectly affected by what goes on for another. There are many possibilities for the cycle. Use extra caution when divulging or sharing information. Surprises or secrets are typical of the cycle. Things you have said can be twisted and fed back to you. Mercury retrograde in Aquarius can bring something weird, radical, or out of the blue. Electrical, mechanical, or plumping issues can arise. Food allergies, viruses or other such health aliments can get to you too. Try not to over-extend yourself physically, emotionally or financially. Keep checking your blind-spots and your rear view mirror. On the other hand, Mercury retrograde can dish up surprise opportunity or alliances. To the plus, this Mercury retrograde cycle can be an exceptionally creative one for you. The cycle is ideal for time out for soul searching, the spiritual quest, self discovery, study, healing, and/or for replenishing the batteries.
You’ve learned a lot through the first half of Jupiter in Leo (since July 2014) and you’ll continue to get even clear on the best direction forward through this second half. Watch for the start of your birthday month (Feb 18 – 25) and last week (Mar 16 to 20) hit the go button in some striking way.
Saturn in Sagittarius will hold impact for those born Feb 18 to 23. If you are born later in the sign, Saturn will hit your chart in 2016 or 2017.
