My heart goes out to the Afghan people, the Haitian people, to all who have been subjected to loss and hardship in recent times. My gratitude to first responders, helpers, and kind souls everywhere.
September opens with Mars in opposition to Neptune aiming to surpass the backdrop of uncertainty that has challenged security and sure footed-ness. Among the many ways any transit can manifest, Mars/Neptune is also signature for the surge in the pandemic numbers.
Just past September 1, the stars head onto a better flow. They set timing and opportunity onto an upswing. When it comes to getting a better handle on it, the experiential track is your best information source. Looking for a fresh start? Use the new moon on September 6 (Labour Day for Canada and the USA). Trines of Sun/Uranus, Venus/Jupiter and Mars/Pluto accompany the new moon in Virgo. What gets off the ground does so with great vitality. Set intention and go. The new moon is an excellent springboard for making the most of it.
Venus in Scorpio, starting September 10 sharpens your radar, loaning you a better ability to “see in the dark”. Use this transit for research projects, feeling your way along, and getting a better fix on what’s most worthy, of your time, money, and heart. The transit calls for you to be more strategic regarding financial commitments and relationship dealings (personal and professional). Aim for a healthy obsession and watch the good it does you.
Through September 14, Mars in Virgo puts the attention on health and the back-to-it routine (school, work, the gym, your to-do list). Sooner rather than later is the best way to tackle the work. Use the Mars in Virgo window to create better efficiency, to tend to repair projects and upgrades. Once Mars enters Libra on September 14 (to October 30), your attention can shift to social and relationship matters, the money chase too.
Mercury entered Libra on August 29 and will tenant this sign until November 5. This extra long stay is due to a retrograde cycle, which happens from September 26/27 (depending on your time zone) to October 18. Mercury in Libra can tip the scales from one end to the other, this regarding finances, profits, relationships, social involvements, the receiving end of give, take, and contracts, (actual and karmic in nature). As is typical of the retrograde cycle, you can reconnect with folks. That can happen, through an actual meet-up, the memory banks, or through karmic destiny. Mercury retrograde also highlights matters to do with justice, legal affairs, diplomacy, alliances, rising costs, social life, and social trends. To the plus, it is a good transit creative endeavours and artistic projects, for enhancements of all kinds (spruce up your look/your wardrobe, your surroundings). Mercury enters the pre-shadow (the set-up phase) for the retrograde as early as September 5. Mercury’s opposition to Chiron on September 7, increases the potency of fate in play, of a destiny’s call. Look to the end of the year and the first quarter of 2022 for a next phase to set into play and to time your next move.
One more note on Mercury. Due to the retrograde action, Mercury will stay within a 2-degree square aspect with Pluto from September 20 to October 4. This lengthy transit extends the timetable for negotiations and power-brokering. It intensifies the focus, the momentum, and the obsession toward getting under better control and/or toward changing the narrative. Mercury in Libra calls for more cooperation or collaboration, for keeping the lines of communication open, and for exploring more ways and means. Mercury and Pluto meet three times: September 22, October 1, and November 2 (exact alignments). The big push is on. Expect to see a continuous intensification and evolution until this planetary pairing completes.
The full moon in Pisces on September 20 coincides with a snap federal election in Canada. It also coincides with Mercury in trine to Jupiter, a trend setting transit that enhances, increases, and mobilizes. At the same time, Mercury turns a corner with Pluto (by last quarter square aspect). Venus in a building opposition to Uranus (across the Scorpio/Taurus polarity) makes for anything goes. Trudeau’s play for a majority government is a big gamble warehousing a significant cost. Due to mail in ballots (a signature of the Mercury/Jupiter trine), we won’t know the actual results for a couple of days. That will likely happen on September 22 (when the moon in Aries opposes Mercury and squares Pluto) or on September 23 (when Venus perfects the opposition with Uranus).
On another note, note that Pisces rules the immune system. The full moon can manifest as a peak or a turning point indicator for the pandemic’s 4th wave. The full moon in opposition to the Virgo sun can expose the weak, the vulnerable, or the under-rated. It can be corrective and healing. It can uncover hidden advantage and/or provide an opportunity to make significant improvement. A full moon can deliver can go either way, it can bring fruition and attainment, or it can bring loss. September 20 holds significant untapped potential. There’s no guarantee on a promise, but I do hope the full moon delivers something good – something healing, something better – for you, for us, for the world.
