Get ready for a next wave. Mercury in Aries is in action over the first couple of days of May. Venus fires up in Aries in the second week. The new moon in Taurus on May 4 gains extra turbo from Mars in opposition to Jupiter (perfecting on May 5). This is a game-on, fresh wind, second wind, or next page transit. Expect more news, more trading, more trending, more money and people on the go, etc.
There are tight spots to get through (notably May 1, 2, 7, 9) but overall the stars aim to fast track progress in the first half of the month. What gets off the ground does so with a strong start. Will it hold its dynamic life force? Can it go the distance? It remains to be seen, but for the most part, the answer is yes. The middle of June through July (a karmic threshold of significance) will be telling in this regard. Don’t let that idea hold you back. The growth opportunity and cash-in potential of the here and now is better than average. Don’t miss your chance!
Mercury enters Taurus on May 6. Rather than settle into a groove, it can keep things lively, perhaps also on edge, at least initially. May 7 can be a stress test day. May 8, the day Mercury/Uranus could make for a completely opposite effect. Creative opportunity and synchronicity are at peak. The unexpected is in the mix.
Mother’s Day weekend is bookend by the sun’s trine to Saturn on May 11 and the sun’s trine to Pluto on May 13. Overall, these transits should bring a sense that you are getting to someplace good. May 13 to 17, Venus and Mars are in accord. Relationships (social, professional, personal) and money matters should hit a good stride.
The full moon on May 18 is a blue moon, which usually refers to the second full moon in a single month. This one is not a second full moon, rather it is called a blue moon because the face of the moon will appear bluish due to dust particles in the air. I cannot remember a time when I saw such a moon, but folks saw a bluish full moon for several months after Indonesia’s Krakatoa volcanic eruption in 1883.
Coinciding with a long weekend for Canadians (Victoria Day weekend), the full moon in Scorpio is accompanied by Venus conjunct Uranus in Taurus. Expect emotional intensity, for something or someone unexpected to get you/get it going. Spontaneity delivers. Venus/Uranus could produce a windfall, an unexpected expense, a great find, etc.
Mars in Cancer, starting May 15, puts more attention on matters to do with security, safety (personal and national), home, family, real estate, etc. It also puts more attention on a review of the past and on personal needs, self care, and self preservation. When and how you can, make sure to take some quality time to nurture and replenish yourself.
The sun and Mercury enter Gemini on May 21. A Mars/Jupiter opposition started the month. A Mercury/Jupiter opposition ends the month. One way or another, expect for May keep you on the go from start to finish. Happy Memorial Day to those celebrating.
ARIES March 19/20 – April 19
The first two weeks of the month are prime for getting a move-on, thanks to first Mercury in Aries (May 1, 2,) then Venus in Aries (May 7 to 9) having a go at it.
If the first couple of days of the month don’t get you up and rolling, look to May 5 and the week that follows to do just that. An opposition between Mars in Gemini and Jupiter retrograde on May 5 puts a fresh wind under your sails. Watch for something new or something next to overtake you. A strong start amplifies the potential results. There are times when you might run up against it but over all, the month ahead is a productive one for getting it worked out and moving yourself to more solid ground.
May 7 can be a stress test, pressure cooker, or breakthrough day, thanks to Venus/Saturn and Mercury/Uranus in play. May 8, Mercury/Uranus, sun/Neptune and the transiting moon are on a creative opportunity track. Watch for a flash of inspiration or for synchronicity to line it up for you. Someone or something unexpected could make your day. Fast thinking or a quick response could get you someplace good.
Thanks to the sun in trine to Saturn (May 11) and Pluto (May 13) you should feel you are on the gain in the days leading up to and following Mother’s Day.
Venus and Mars are good travelling companions from May 13 to 17. Relationship and financial matters hit a good run. Venus leaves Aries for Taurus on May 15. On this same day Mars, your ruler, enters Cancer The pace can shift, but for the most part, the stars continue to set a productive backdrop. Victoria Day (Canadian holiday) weekend launches on a full moon in Scorpio on May 18. It could be an emotionally charged day/weekend. Watch for news, for someone to surprise you, a sudden flash of inspiration, an impulse, or for something unexpected to overtake you. Whether it comes or goes, Venus/Uranus puts the money on a fast spin too.

TAURUS April 19 – May 20
Stuck? Not for long. Don’t plan on being bored, don’t plan on sitting still. The new moon in Taurus (May 5) gains extra fuel from the Mars/Jupiter opposition (perfecting May 5). You can feel it as a second wind, a fresh opportunity, or springboard time. Once the idea, impulse, or moment strikes, it’s full steam ahead.
Mercury enters Taurus on May 6, but rather than settling into a groove, Mercury is on a build-up with Uranus to May 8. Venus in Aries also lights a fire from May 7 to 9. It’s a mix of tough spots to get through and exceptional opportunity (especially May 8). No matter what pressure you may face, thanks to the sun at a creative peak with Saturn on May 11 and Pluto on May 13, you are likely to find yourself on plus side of things.
May 18 delivers a full moon in Scorpio. With Venus/Uranus making their contribution, know impulsivity, emotional intensity/reactiveness, excitement, and the unexpected is on fast dial-up. If faced with something confronting, nip it in the bud. It is an opportunity to get it handled or straightened out quick. On the other hand, this full moon can simply dish a good weekend to take a break, to aim for a fresh diversion or infusion. Something spontaneous or unplanned can hit the spot.

GEMINI May 20 – June 20

CANCER June 20 – July 22
Watch for Mercury in Aries to light a fire and/or to fast track you over the first week of May. Venus in Aries does the same in the second week. As best you can, aim to put time and opportunity to good use. The faster you get on it, the faster you’ll get to the reward.
Mars in opposition to Jupiter (May 5) sets a next phase into play. May 7 to 10 can see you cover the gamut emotionally. Watch for things to smooth out May 11 through the week that follows. The sun well aligned with Saturn on May 11 and Pluto on May 13 can provide a sense that you are moving toward something substantial and/or that you are gaining something worthwhile.
The full moon on May 18 can rev up something unexpected. It could be an opportunity to express how you feel and/or to get the air cleared. News, a surprise phone call, or added expense could be in the mix. Get your sexy on but know that raw emotions can get the better of you.

Coinciding with the Venus action is a contribution from Mercury/Uranus. Pressure, challenge, the unexpected and greater than average opportunity is in the mix. Perfecting on May Mercury/Uranus can start the day with a jolt, a surprise,an excitement rush, or onslaught. Anything goes, perhaps even something exceptional. Quick thinking or action is called for. The day is full of better than average potential.
May 11 to 16 produces a steadier pace. Greater satisfaction, relationship accord, creative potential, success ratio, and profits hit a positive upswing.
Venus/Uranus (conjunction) accompany the full moon in Scorpio on May 18. On the one hand, the full moon can simply favour a good get-away long weekend (Victoria Day in Canada). On the other, deep emotions can get triggered. The full moon is of impact regarding matters to do with home, real estate, renovations, family, and finances (debt, taxes, unexpected expenses, etc.) To the plus, there can be an opportunity to turn things around, to uncover something informing, useful, profitable, pleasing, or beneficial.
Mars enters Cancer on May 15. Through July 1, Mars sets up a regroup and seeding phase. Do not under estimate the budding potentials or the potency of what is already on brew. Mars will join up with the karmic axis (conjunct the north node in Cancer) and oppose Pluto and Saturn in the middle of June. This will mark another timeline peak regarding developing circumstances, i.e. personal priorities and needs, endings, completion of projects, transitions, moving past the past, work or working it out, studies, health, etc. Mars enters Leo by July 1, just in time for the next set of eclipses.
VIRGO August 22 – September 22
Ready to hit the ground running? Over the first couple of days, Mercury in Aries revs it up with Saturn, Pluto, and Jupiter. If that doesn’t get you launched, watch for the second week to do the trick, starting with the Mars/Jupiter opposition on May 5.
Whether it’s a second wave, a second chance, or a fresh launch, Mars/Jupiter is a major mobilizing and trend-setting influence. It can set something substantial into play, perhaps even a whole new reality. It is a timely month for a new project or career track, to scout for a new job, to try a new idea or a new lifestyle on for size (that can include teaming up with someone, be it a business partner, room-mate or new life partner).
Venus in Aries fires it up May 7 to 9, first with Saturn, then Jupiter and Pluto. Mercury advances into Taurus on May 6. By May 8, Mercury joins forces with Uranus (by conjunction). This day is full of potential. Something or someone unexpected could get the ball rolling.

As of May 5, Mars in Gemini is onto a next phase or fresh track, this regarding something that’s been in development since the start of 2018.
Mars/Jupiter in opposition are a major mobilizing and trend-setting influence. Despite the obstacles or challenges must be faced in the first two weeks, May 11 to 16 you should feel that you have surpassed what’s been in the way and that you are now on your way to someplace good.

One thing after another, the stars keep to a brisk pace over the first two weeks of May. There are times when you feel you run up against it and times when it simply clicks into place. Encompassing Mother’s Day weekend, May 11 to 13 should prove smooth going. Sun/Saturn and Sun/Pluto shape it up quite nicely.

When you pause to reflect, you are likely to see that you have moved through a significant chapter of inner learning and growth. You are likely to be aware of the karmic component that’s been in play during this timeframe. You’ll now move onto the next phase or stage of the cycle.

Mercury is moving especially fast right now, tenanting Taurus for just two weeks (May 5 to 21), then Gemini for two weeks (May 21 to June 4). Despite Taurus month (generally a slow-moving archetype), expect to move onto an acceleration track, especially over the second week of the month.
