March opens on a full moon and closes on one too. It’s the second time that’s happened this year, although in January, the blue moon (2nd full moon of a month) was also a lunar eclipse.
March 1, the full moon in Virgo dials up the healing, repair work, and corrections that are necessary, timely, and likely long overdue. The full moon triggers (opposes) the Pisces stellium of Juno, Sun, Mercury, Venus, Neptune and Chiron in Pisces. The full moon serves to expose, edit, and eliminate, to sort out the reality from the projection or from wishful thinking, to pinpoint the errors and flaws. Don’t dwell on the negatives. No matter how much loss, hurt, or pain is in the mix, the now is laden with opportunity.
To the plus, the full moon in trine to Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn gives more shape and form to the potentials that warehouse enough viability to be set into play. If it is a false front or if it does not hold enough true value, it won’t hold up. Disillusionment is one fuel; inspired hopefulness is another. The creative source is unlimited and available for your use. The full moon launches the start of March on a productive agenda.
Picking up the pace, Mercury enters Aries late March 5 and Venus does the same on March 6. Mercury fires up a new narrative. Venus values a fresh initiative.
On March 8, Jupiter will begin its annual four-month retrograde cycle, plunging deeper into a soul-searching examination period, and calling for a deeper commitment to empowerment initiatives. There’s a lot more to it and Jupiter knows it. Jupiter retrograde will strip it down and get to the point in a brass-tack way. Jupiter retrograde in Scorpio won’t stop probing and investigating until it gets what it came for. Soul searching, agenda advancing, or politically speaking, that’s big production.
Mars in Capricorn (sign of its exaltation), starting on the new moon March 17, is a helpful/strengthening influence for all take-charge initiatives. Roll up your sleeves, put ambition to work, and you are likely to get something substantial accomplished.
Spring official arrives on March 20, the Vernal Equinox. The start of a new season is accompanied by the sun’s square to Mars which perfects on March 24 and the transiting moon in a choice point configuration with the karmic axis (at the bending). The past informs the present; the present informs the future. Everything you run up against, witness, take-on, or hope for stokes the fire. Consider the next two months as a work in progress and use the here and now your best advantage. Note the March for Our Lives rally in the USA is schedule for March 24, the day the sun squares Mars. It is sure to be an emotionally charged event/few days.
Mercury in Aries turns retrograde on March 22, but the clock starts running as of March 10 when Mercury/Saturn meet for the first of three meetings (by square aspect). Their agenda will encompass the whole retrograde cycle and most of April. Taking it seriously? You bet. Time and experience are precious commodities. Don’t waste either. Roll up your sleeves and get to work. Want/need to get it under better control? Do you have something difficult to push past? Looking to get something new off the ground? Effort is required, but don’t let that stop you.
As you well know by now, Mercury retrograde typically derails plans, and messes with transportation and communication, especially at the start of the cycle. It could create added frustration or havoc (or stoke a fresh fire) in the lead up to the March of March 24.
The last week of the month keeps the intensity going. Venus enters Taurus on Good Friday, March 30. Passover coincides with the moon rising full in Libra on March 31. Duty calls; relationships can be strained, finances too. More patience is called for. If you can put in park for the weekend, great. If not, this too shall pass.

Happy Spring!
ARIES March 19/20 – April 19
Mars in Sagittarius can keep you going strong “out there”, but five planets in Pisces at the start of the month can keep you somewhat out of sight and “elsewhere”.
Kicking off the month, watch for the full moon in Virgo to dish up the unexpected regarding a work matter or health challenge. There can something unfinished to tend to (paperwork, a conversation, a project, a test, a second opinion, specialist to visit). Watch for the full moon to expose something that has gone unnoticed, that wasn’t on your radar. Whatever the full moon brings, see it as an opportunity to take care of business. Improvement is your net gain.
You’ll gain an energy, activity, and action boost from Mercury in Aries, starting March 5, and Venus in Aries, starting March 6. “The sooner the better” – its a good philosophy to hold yourself to this month. Jupiter turns retrograde on March 8, and Mercury turns retrograde on March 22. Are you undermining yourself or making empowered choices? Jupiter retrograde in Scorpio takes you through a critical questioning period. It calls for a deeper examination of motivation and implementation. It can be time to devise a new strategy for success, especially regarding finances and an intimate or close relationship.
Mercury retrograde in Aries is best used for a regroup/personal rethink. Have you been overly caught up with someone or something? A time out can be in order. Cut back on the non-essentials and allow more time to get your bearings straight. Applying to health, a circumstance or a relationship matter, Mercury retrograde in Aries can be caustic or inflaming, so stay alert for potential health issues, triggered situations, or triggered people. On another note, the retrograde cycle may dish up matters to do with your reputation or professional status. You could run into a conflict with a boss, an authority figure or official, a parent or a parenting issue. Choose your battles wisely, use your time wisely, aim to get it under better control; you’ll battle it out with Mercury before the retrograde cycle begins. March 10 delivers the first of three (square) alignments with Saturn, April 25 completes the work-it-out project. (April 5 is the midpoint peak.)
March 24 to the full moon in Libra on March 31 keep your days full to the brim. Financial and/or relationship strain is in the mix for the full moon on March 31. As best you can, minimize output and expectations, try not to over-react or jump to conclusions. Time heals all.
TAURUS April 19 – May 20
Opening on a full moon in Virgo, the beginning of March provides an opportunity to heal, fix, or upgrade. Too, there can be an opportunity to fill in a missing blank, to come clean, to finish what was left hanging or to pick up where you left off.
Mercury (March 5) and Venus (March 6) into Aries fire it up behind the scenes. You can find you are more driven, perhaps more inwardly conflicted too. You need more time to yourself, to process, to feel your way along, to devote to repair, healing or study, or to work on that creative project. Peace, quiet and less distraction is to your great benefit.
Jupiter retrograde in Scorpio, starting March 8, also votes for an added degree of separation. What’s motivating you? Jupiter wants to strip it down, to get real. It will prompt you (or force you) to get better committed to that which is in your better interests. Your heart or inner dialogue can needle at you until you get moving. It’s an ideal time to do more soul searching, to review your strategy for success. Are you getting the goods your present circumstances or from a key someone? Do you trust yourself? How do you rate your trust level with another? Do you have a feeling that there is more lurking just below the surface? It pays to keep your radar on. Jupiter retrograde on review can see you undergo a major change of heart or mind.
You could find yourself on a breakthrough as Mercury and Saturn square off on March 10. Have patience with the process. What sets in place will likely take some time and several stages to work through. Mercury/Saturn will continue to be on a work-it-out trajectory through the end of April. Look to Mars in Capricorn, starting March 17, to be a strengthening and refortifying influence. Mars loans you more ambition, more control, more legitimacy. The transit helps you to build more substantially. While Mars tenants Capricorn, you can gain more support from those in charge. You’ll also gain better results for your hard work and effort.
Whether its an inner drive or dialogue, or an outer confrontation, Mercury retrograde (March 22 to April 15) won’t let it go away quietly until you get to where you need to be.
GEMINI May 20 – June 20
March 1, the full moon in Virgo could dish up something unexpected or extra to deal with, perhaps pertaining to home, family, health, career, or official matters. Expectations can come up short. You could find that something isn’t hold up/hasn’t held up as long as it should have. It can be easy to say the wrong thing, to lose track, or to make an error of judgement. Look at the situation as an opportunity to make the necessary improvement.
Mercury (March 5) and Venus (March 6) into Aries put you on an upswing. You should find yourself quicker on the uptake and on a faster move-along. March 8, Jupiter in Scorpio stations retrograde. All three are meant to get you onto target, to pinpoint what is necessary for you to know or confront. Mercury retrograde doesn’t start until March 22, but essentially, it’s on the clock from March 10 when Mercury tees up with Saturn (by square aspect) for the first of 3 meet-ups. Through the end of April, expect to be working your way through a significant reformat-it, test it, validate it, make it real cycle – this regarding actual circumstances or your inner journey. Mercury retrograde requires that you step up to plate in a more conscientious, more self-determined way. Is the time right? What, who, where or when to take it on? While Mercury retrograde and Mercury/Saturn are doing their thing, you could have more waiting, wading through, or more preparation to tackle.
CANCER June 20 – July 22
Are you feeling it? I’ll bet you are. March opens with a full moon in Virgo and a stellium in Pisces (sun, Venus, Mercury, Chiron, Neptune, and Juno). Know you can be especially sensitive to surroundings, to suggestion, to the workings of your heart and your imagination. Guard your immune system, it’s easy to pick up whatever is going around. If you feel overwhelmed, try not to get overly consumed with the big picture. Take it one step at a time. Each small undertaking can hold enormous effectiveness and create significant impact. Of course, that last statement can be true to the plus or to the minus.
Look to both Mercury and Venus in Aries (starting March 5, 6) to supply you with a fresh refuel. Jupiter retrograde, starting March 8 will serve as a streamlining influence. It can assist you to reprioritize, get better focused, and to get a better grip on a specific target. Jupiter retrograde is excellent for self reflection, soul searching, study; for questioning your motives, or that of another; for digging deeper and for discovering resources you didn’t know you had. Therapy can be helpful. Don’t hesitate to go exploring. If it peaks your interest, it’s likely to hold something impactful for you. The Jupiter retrograde cycle can help you to realize the truth of self undermining thoughts or behaviours.
Consider Mercury retrograde on the clock as of March 10. To the plus or minus, whatever arises around this time is likely to occupy you for the entire Mercury retrograde cycle and through to the end of April.
Mars in Capricorn, starting on the new moon March 17, motivates you or forces you to put serious effort into the get-ahead and/or build-it-better mandate. You can feel the pressure of time on the move. It is important to make each day, each moment count. You could be occupied with a contract or legal matter. You could have something significant to work through with someone in charge, an authority figure or parent. You may feel blocked or thwarted, but the rules are the rules, the system is what it is. Even so, while Mercury is retrograde there may be an ability to negotiate or to work around it. Things may not be as rigid or as cemented as they appear. It’s worth a shot!
LEO July 22 – August 22
Need a top up? March opens on a full moon in Virgo. Even if you initially feel depleted or find yourself on the short end, there’s opportunity in the mix. The first few days of the month are good for cleaning, clearing, organizing, editing, corrections, creative solutions, working it out, bargain hunting, and finishing it up.
You’ll enjoy the fresh boost provided by the advances of Mercury and Venus into Aries starting March 5, 6. Of course, Mars in Sagittarius already has you going strong and will keep you in high-gear through mid month; this despite the start of Jupiter retrograde on March 8.
Jupiter’s four-month retrograde tour will keep you well occupied with home base and family matters. It will also take you through a deeper soul-searching process which can put you back in touch with parts of yourself that you didn’t realize had gone missing along the way. Perhaps you’ll experience a resurfacing of deep-seated or unresolved feelings, or find those unrealized yearnings and ambitions continue to be a major driving force. Whatever Jupiter dishes up, expect it to be potent fuel.
Mercury retrograde, March 22 to April 15 is a good time to let the world spin without you for a temporary spell. Aim to pull back from over-activity. Put personal life/personal interests before social life, reprioritize, get back in touch with who and what offers the most growth potential. Of course, by now you know what to expect from Mercury retrograde. Don’t bank on a promise or count your chickens too early. Something could get cut short or take a lot longer. Revisits and revisions are likely. Etc. etc. etc.
A full moon starts the month and ends it too. The full moon in Libra on March 31 can put added strain on relationships or finances. You can hit a wall. Mercury is still retrograde – take it stride. Slow down, take more/give it more time.
VIRGO August 22 – September 22

You can get it a handle on it reasonably well, especially when you take your time to think it through. Rely on your intuitive smarts and physical/emotional reflexes to kick in when you need them to. LIBRA September 22 - October 22
The full moon in Virgo on March 1 can dish up something unexpected. Perhaps there’s something you forgot to say or do? Perhaps there will be something you wish you hadn’t said or taken on. The full moon is in favour to Saturn, so if you get a feeling that you should speak up, ask another question, or take another look at it, yes, do it. Someone you know or someone you meet can give you something fresh to go on too. Get excited, take a risk, try it on for size, but try not to race too far ahead of the reality. Mercury retrograde takes you through an important rethink or work-on-it period. The cycle can help you to make a significant breakthrough, but you could feel initially held up or experience road blocks, frustration, add pressure, and growing pains throughout the process. You may have to force yourself to do something you’d rather not face.

What resources do you have to work with? Over the next few months a natural evolution will occur. You are now working your way through a preparatory stage for what is on its way to you soon.
The month ends on a full moon in Libra. You will feel the full moon strongly if you are born on or near October 4 or 5. There can be some toughing it out to do, perhaps regarding finances, a deadline, a legal issue, contract, real estate, or a key relationship. It can be the right time to downsize, get a new address or to undertake some other official step.
SCORPIO October 22 - November 21
March 1, the full moon in Virgo could add more work, involvement, or necessity. A business meeting or event could be well worth attending. Someone may need extra help or advice. On another note, someone could ditch on you or drop the ball in some other way. Things always happen for a reason. A mistake could work to your advantage. The full moon provides an opportunity to correct, fix, upgrade, to fill in a missing blank, or to fill a vacancy.
On the job hunt? Take another look. Fresh prospects are out there. Looking to get your health back on track, to bulk up, or to get your weight under control? One way or another, Mercury and Venus in Aries (starting March 5, 6) will put you to work. Expect your days to get busier.

SAGITTARIUS November 21 – December 21
Some things can’t be avoided. Some things need to be cleared up, or perhaps altogether eliminated. It seems you have your work cut out as March begins. The full moon in Virgo puts added emphasis on getting under better control at all levels, especially regarding health, wealth, home life, career and reputation. Something official or legal could occupy you too. There can be an important paper or contract to sign.
You are likely to appreciate the energy boost provided by Mercury and Venus in Aries, starting March 5,6. Both can speed up the action, although just after they fire up, Jupiter in Scorpio begins retrograde (March 8). As a subtle or background influence, the start of Jupiter retrograde could let some of the air out of your tires. You could feel deflated or simply not as a on, as clear, or as ready as you thought you were. On the other hand, if there is something on a build up, March 10/11 can bring it to a pressure point, then a release. That release can be productive, well timed, even opportune.
Mars enters Capricorn on the Pisces new moon of March 17. While there’s Mercury retrograde to contend with from March 22 to April 15, Mars in Capricorn is a helpful influence for getting yourself under better control. On the other hand, along with Saturn in Capricorn, the Mars transit could make you feel limited, restricted, or held up. Finances can be tight. The best you can do is to work with what you have, to do what you can as you can, and to plan on spreading your wings when the stars allow. Mercury retrograde is never a good time to race ahead. If you feel like pulling the plug or calling it quits – especially at the full moon in Libra on March 31, go ahead – but: (a) be sure, and (b) know there may not be a quick replacement. You are wise to give yourself a margin, or to build in room to change your mind later if you want to.
CAPRICORN December 21 - January 20
March 1 could give you added cause or traction. It could provide you with an opportunity you thought you had missed out on previously. Thanks to the full moon in Virgo, something lost could be found. Then again, a replacement could be better than the original. The full moon can also prompt travel, for work or for a healing getaway. No matter how it plays out for you, you should feel that you are gaining ground.
As of March 5, 6, Mercury and Venus trek into Aries. Both can provide you with a fresh sense of get up and go, especially in the areas of life that add up the most. The sun will trek into Aries by the equinox, which is always a time to put your best foot forward and/or make an official stab at career, material, and personal life goals.
Mercury in Aries turns retrograde on March 22 but watch what happens around March 10. It’s the launch of a Mercury square Saturn transit that will define and encompass the whole Mercury retrograde cycle and that extends through the end of April. Mercury/Saturn puts you into a serious mind set. Frustration, delays, difficult negotiations, and such can be in the mix, but try not to buy into negativity or pessimism. Mercury/Saturn can add frustration or pressure, but it is a good transit for working through the tough stuff, something you are naturally good at. It’s a good transit for downsizing, streamlining, reducing your overhead, or working toward a goal or finish line.
Mars in Capricorn, starting March 17, boosts your energy, stamina, and drive. Take charge. Let them know who’s boss.
AQUARIUS January 20 – February 18/19

By March 11 when Mars trines Uranus, you should feel you are on a breakthrough. The buzz, the pressure, and the momentum continue over the days that follow.
Mars enters Capricorn on the new moon March 17. It won’t hit your sign until mid May, but while it is in Capricorn it is laying an important get it under control, make-it-real foundation. Mars in Capricorn is a constructive, build it/build it better influence. It gives more shape and form to possibilities and potentials.
If there’s something important to get at, do it sooner rather than later. Mercury retrograde begins on March 22, but its setting its agenda into play as early are March 10/11. One thing after another in rapid succession, expect this retrograde cycle to keep the action going strong.
PISCES February 18/19 to March 19/20
March opens on a Virgo full moon triggering the stellium in Pisces (Juno, Sun, Neptune, Mercury, Venus and Chiron). You are sure to find yourself completely immersed and going full throttle! March 1, 2, can shine a light on your special brand of genius. In fact, you have an opportunity to outshine them all. Even so, you may feel that you only trickle out there or that only a small portion of your message gets across. Someone could disappoint you or be a no show; something you take on or buy can fall short of the mark.
On the other hand, March 1, 2 can see you turn a minus into a gain. You could scoop a bargain. If you have a blank on your page, see it as a creative opportunity and try a few different ideas on for size. Are you living up to your potential; are they, is it? The aim of any full moon is to illuminate the shortfalls, pitfalls, and opportunities for improvement.
Look to Mercury and Venus in Aries, starting March 5, 6, to put fresh fuel in your tank. Launching into retrograde on March 8, Jupiter in Scorpio will take you through a deeper soul-searching process. This check in with yourself cycle is meant to help you get better onto target. It can serve as productive, refortifying, and anchoring.
Mercury retrograde begins on March 22, but pay close attention to what’s driving you, putting you under pressure, or growing in importance over the second weekend of the month. On March 10, Mercury conjoins Saturn for the first of three meet-ups. Mercury/Saturn will put an agenda into play that encompass the retrograde cycle (to April 15) and that will extend through April 25. Mercury/Saturn puts you/us into a serious mind set. It’s time to get ambitious, down to business, and to get something of significance accomplished. It is a time to focus on securing/improving your reputation. More responsibility, accountability, and commitment are in the mix. It is also an apt transit for official paperwork, contract or legal matters, for getting yourself better organized and for getting life under better control. Mercury/Saturn also can see you more involved with someone of stature (an authority figure, boss, banker, parent or elder, manager, professional specialist, etc.)
