February 2015

Read my published weekly scope: http://www.straight.com/life/397431/your-horoscope-february-26-march-4-2015

Gung Ho Fat Choy! On the heels of a super new moon in Aquarius, three minutes shy of Pisces, the Year of the Wood Sheep begins February 19. On this day Mars enters Aries; Venus follows suit on February 20  to begin a new personal and relationship chapter on February 21.

Monthly Overview:
Super Bowl Sunday, Feb 1, is a super day in the stars too. Venus conjoins Neptune and Mars conjoins Chiron, all in the sign of Pisces. A musical, awe inspiring, and cash-in aspect, Venus/Neptune should put on a great half time show. Mars/Chiron in Pisces suggests the game has a legendary quality to it too. It is an apt planetary pairing for the gladiator contest, the Chiron side of it describes the “deflate-gate” controversy.

Beyond the game, Feb 1 is ideal for a fresh infusion and total immersion. Let your heart guide you, give it up to love, the creative muses, or to God/dess. Mars/Chiron ignites the desire to be opened, healed, and to be whole. The combination of the two aspects suggests the way to do that is to allow and to respond, to find the courage to open up and to speak with honesty and as forthrightness, to display compassion and acceptance even when you feel depleted, hurt, or wronged. Keep the greater good as your guiding principle, and don’t force your needs or wants on others. Feb 1 is the start of a new consciousness-raising cycle, one that is full of potential and/or saving graces. What’s lost can be found; revelations and discoveries can pour forth. Venus/Neptune and Mars/Chiron can be an ignition-point for something exceptional, extraordinary, or un-foreseen. On the cautious note, these two transits can increase vulnerability and exposure. Imagination, projection, and unconscious emotions can run wild too.

Whether the personage is alive or no longer with us, Venus/Neptune and Mars/Chiron can also draw our attention day to someone famous or infamous, iconic, exceptional, or perhaps on the run. (The headliner could be a special one, a royal figure, celebrity, religious, political or notorious leader, a martyr, escapee, a victim, a saviour, etc.)

The stars continue on a step it up curve through the first week of Feb. The drive for more glory, reward, love, and attention keeps life upscale to the full moon in Leo Feb 3. Leo loves a celebration – it’s ideal for the Super Bowl homecoming parade.

Conjunct Jupiter in Leo while forming trines to Uranus in Aries and Pallas in Sagittarius, the full moon offers great fire power to draw from. It won’t take much to strike the flint just right. Confidence and creativity are the winning ticket. Aim for big and bold, be an attention-getter and a trend-setter, give it everything you have. If you believe in yourself/your cause, we’ll believe you. Thanks to Jupiter, there’s likely to be more of everything on the move/on the rise. This full moon can coincide with a notable event or announcement, a meeting of minds or heart, a win, victory, special attention, acknowledgement, or reward. It should be a lively day for speculative markets, travel, and the entertainment industry. At the very least, it’s a good day to please yourself or to stir up some fun. Ending the big week the same as it started – with more of everything – the sun opposes Jupiter on Feb 6.

Another keep-it-lively, on-the-front-burner transit, Mercury in Aquarius continues retrograde to Feb 11. Stay alert, take it moment to moment, invent it as you go along, let spontaneity or inspiration guide your choices, keep thinking outside of the box. Creative solutions are your best bet. One thing after another, expect the day to day action to continue brisk, especially on the social and political fronts. All things Aquarius rules are fair game for Mercury retrograde (the weather, all things to do with technology, communication devices, electrical/mechanical, aviation; the radical, unexpected, bizarre; risk). Mercury will continue in Aquarius to March 12.

Once Mercury retrograde is out of the way, we are onto full-thrust, spring-forward time. The super new moon on Feb 18 occurs at the very last degree of Aquarius. The Chinese New Year of the Goat begins on Feb 19, the same day Mars enters Aries. Venus enters Aries on Feb 20, and Venus and Mars conjoin on Feb 21 to begin a new relationship and manifesting cycle. The Goat archetype is Capricorn. Well directed ambition and action combined with right time will net the pay-off. How do you what right course and right time is? Step one is to feel/to draw from the energy of the here and now. Step two requires you to take a risk on a new way of being and creating. Ditch preconceived judgements, go exploring, and allow for the discovery process to use time as an ally. Mars in Aries ignites instinct and desire. Venus in Aries attracts that which desired. Both increase the potency and fertility of the moment.

As soon as both Mars and Venus enter Aries, they align by trine with Saturn (Capricorn’s planet.) This combination is an excellent out-the-starting-gate backdrop for the Year of the Goat. If you have set yourself on the right track, you should hit your mark very well. Venus/Mars trine Saturn boosts you with a sense of security, rightness, or legitimacy. You’ll easily find or attain what’s authentically yours and/or meant for you. If you have not yet figured it out, don’t sweat it. Circumstances will define your best options and/or show you the way in some plain paper way.

ARIES (Mar 21- April 19)

The month opens with potentials on the rise and plenty on the go. You could hit a great creative spurt thanks to Venus/Neptune and Mars/Chiron. The transits also stimulate intuition, romance, poignant healing, and spiritual thirst. Peace, quiet, and sanctuary are the ultimate aim for the moment. While Mercury continues in retrograde, it’s not the time to push, force, or jump the gun. Allow for the natural flow to be your guide.

If Mercury retrograde has taken you out of the loop, it’s only temporary. Continue to immerse yourself right where you are until there’s someplace else to be. It’s all unfolding as it should. Each step, stage, or ripple sets up the next one.

There’s a potent life force on brew. Observation is your best teacher. Let each thought, mood, exchange, and inspiration find its own watermark.

What a difference a transit or two can make. You should feel completely refuelled and good to go after February 18 when both Venus and Mars trek into Aries. It’s a springboard time. Bring more of yourself to the table, and you’ll gain more in return too.

TAURUS (April 20 -May 20)

The unexpected is par for the course when Mercury tours retrograde. It’s even more so when the retrograde happens in Aquarius. The cycle is one that is meant to reawaken you; to shake you out of a routine or boredom, and to help you to get back in the game, but this time, to try a new entry point. What’s here today could be fleeting, but if so, see it as a stepping stone or an experiment that’s leading you to higher ground. Everything serves the bigger picture.

Retrograde or not, Mercury in Aquarius (to Mar 12) is a good time-out or dry-out influence. You could have better luck breaking a rut, a habit or addiction. Once you find a new groove, you should settle in quite well. The more time you spend to familiarize yourself on this new track, the more confidence, well-being, and success you’ll build.

The super new moon on February 18 is followed by both Mars (Feb 19) and Venus (Feb 20) into Aries. You should feel this as a major energy or momentum shift. More is on brew, but you may want to keep it under wraps until you figure out where it is leading to, and how you want to play it. Venus will enter Taurus mid March and Mars will enter your sign by the start of April. Use the time until then as a seeding, exploration, and staging time.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21)

There’s minus or loss, plus or gain. Sometimes the lines aren’t as clear as they could be. Sometimes it’s difficult to know what is truly opportune and/or worthwhile. Start of the month can put you through more than the usual searching or questioning. Mercury continues to spark a fresh perspective and a renewed interest. Even though the retrograde cycle continues to Feb 11, when the timing takes on a life of its own, go with it. An opportunity may come with strings attached, but what you’ll ultimately gain should prove worth the price or sacrifice.

Whether it moves along by retrograde (to Feb 11) or direct (to March 12), Mercury in Aquarius is appropriate for travel, educational or Marketing upgrades. Of course it is usually best to wait until the retrograde is over to get the ball rolling on legal matters or paperwork.

The super new moon of Feb 18 is followed up by both Mars (Feb 19) and Venus (Feb 20) into Aries. That’s a lot of fresh page energy to draw from. You’ll find plenty of new prospects, products, and avenues to explore. An introduction or first try could strike instant gold. Watch for someone or something to grab your immediate attention. Your first instinct or impression is always the strongest and truest. Go with it.

CANCER (June 22-July 22)

Whether by choice or by force or a combination of the two, Mercury retrograde continues to push you to financial and personal upgrades. Wrestling with yourself can be the hardest part. Once you make a full commitment to your betterment program, you’ll hit a much faster move along.

Previously closed doors can suddenly pop open. Fresh opportunity is just around the corner. Look to the end of Mercury retrograde as the start of breakthrough time, and to the new Venus/Mars cycle which begins on Feb 21 as the hit go button. Venus/Mars in Aries will get you up and out of your comfort zone. To the positive, they will invigorate you and your prospects. On the other hand, if you don’t feel you have built enough steam yet and/or need more push, wait five minutes and check your pulse again. There’s plenty of fire power to draw from with Mars in Aries (Feb 19 to Mar 31), Venus in Aries (Feb 20 to Mar17), Mercury in Aries (Mar 31 to April 14), and the Sun in Aries (Mar 20 to April 20).

You can make great headway from Feb 16 to 21 and 25 to 27. These dates are optimal for for action taking.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

Just before Mercury turned retrograde on Jan 21, it formed an opposition to Jupiter in Leo. Perhaps you experienced this as an “almost, but not quite there yet” scenario. Perhaps the reverse transit translated to a narrow escape or crisis averted. Perhaps someone or something did a 180 on you. Perhaps something more was tossed into the mix. Mercury retrograde is always best used for a regroup and rethink. Allow a good margin for observation time and let circumstances play it out.

Feb opens with Venus conjunct Neptune and Mars conjunct Chiron, all in the sign of Pisces. Let the creative or romantic muses steal you away, or give it up to God/dess. Someone or something could touch your soul very deeply. Where or with whom do you place your faith? Venus/Neptune and Mars/Chiron ask you to let go, open up, tune in, and to allow. The love, the hurt, the loss, the hope, the inspiration, the compassion, the desire, the hunger – whatever you feel, you’ll feel it in every fibre of your being. These transits can open your heart in a poignant or bittersweet way. On another note, you could find yourself on a rescue mission (the person that needs to be saved could be you). Too, Pisces stars could gift you with a reprieve, an extension period or a saving grace opportunity. Note that Mercury continues in retrograde to Feb 11. Be careful not to bank on a promise or to place overly high expectations on others.

Feb 1 to 4 can be especially opportune. The Leo full moon on Feb 4 can get a good fire started. Watch for good news. When it feels right, say it, do it.

Great timing is also on your side later in the month. You can find yourself on a major forward thrust from Feb 19 to 25. Jump into it fresh and full on; head for new horizons, take your world by storm.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

The first few days of Feb brings more to light. Venus/Neptune and Mars/Chiron – all in the sign of Pisces – can open your heart or tug on it in some notable, perhaps exceptional way. You’ll fee a strong sense of fate regarding how the moment or a particular relationship plays itself out. On another note, you may question whether you want to stay the course, or whether you are getting what you signed up for. Then again, you could be getting more than you bargained for. While Mercury continues in retrograde, keep checking-in with yourself, take it one step at a time, and try not to jump too far ahead of yourself.

By the time Mars (Feb 19) and Venus (Feb 20) trek into feisty Aries, you should find yourself in good fighting spirit. The new Venus/Mars cycle aims for the fast track on a new independence or financial chapter. It can spice up your sex life too. Feb19 to 25 is an ideal time to go for it; to take a risk on a new adventure or money maker.

LIBRA (Sept 22-Oct 22)

One of the good things about Mercury retrograde is that it can stimulate your creativity. As such it is an excellent time to cut out of the social scene, or to turn off the TV and to dive into a project or a study. The self-discovery process is also another boon. While the retrograde continues, you’ll make great gains on yourself.

If you find yourself backtracking with your lover or the kids, try to put yourself in neutral until you can observe more. It you give it time, things often work themselves out.

The full moon in Leo on Feb 3 could pump up your pleasure or delight. Seize the opportunity of the moment. Watch for a special event, an invitation, news, reward, or windfall. It’ll carry you for the rest of the week. On another note, Feb 1 to 6 is a good time to travel, explore more, or to call attention to yourself.

Interested in sprucing things up and/or reinventing the wheel? Mercury ends retrograde on February 11 but will stay in Aquarius through Mar 12. This transit keeps fresh incentive on the front burner. Offering you even more reason to get up and go both Mars and Venus trek into Aries by the start of the Chinese New Year. It’s a good time to test drive the new you, to meet and greet, to introduce yourself to new interests or new markets. Venus and Mars in Aries will keep it running hot or not. If it or they are right for you, you’ll make an instant connection. If it doesn’t tickle you right off the bat, there’s no reason to take it any further.

SCORPIO (Oct 23~Nov 22)

You have a lot to think about. You have plenty to tackle or to adjust to also. Mercury retrograde in Aquarius keeps you busy sorting it out. Personal or business housekeeping and home base matters require your priority attention. Reconnections with family or those who feel like family can be the highlight of the retrograde cycle. Like it or not, Mercury retrograde can dreg up the past too. Inconveniences and the unexpected are also par for the course.

When it seems overly complicated, just start anywhere. One thing leads to another. Trust and it should unfold just fine.

Career wise or personally, the full moon on February 3 could bring special attention your way. You can gain a reward, favourable results, or praise for a job well done. You could be pleased to hear back from someone (even if it is simply the insurance adjuster or the appointment setter.) The full moon dishes up a time to toot your horn and/or to show off what you have to offer. A special event is the place to do it.

Mars and Venus in Pisces keep you on a great creative, romantic, or social flow through the start of the Chinese New Year. If you are spiritually inclined, Venus and Mars in Pisces will help you to also feel the love in a more present and enveloping way. These transits keep you open for business – and they keep you more open hearted too.

Once Mars and Venus hit Aries (by Feb 19 and 20) you’ll have more work on your hands. You’ll be ready for it too. It’s the right time to dive into a new job or a new project.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov 22 ~ Dec 21)

Whether the Super Bowl claims you or not, Venus conjunct Neptune and Mars conjunct Chiron, all in Pisces, start the month on the crescent of a wave. It’s an especially poignant journey for heart and soul. Allow yourself the opportunity to feel it fully. Even if you do nothing at all but stay on cruise control, your soul continues to clock good mileage (with or without your conscious attention).

Feb 3 delivers a full moon in Leo and most likely a happy-making or successful undertaking time. Trines to Uranus and Pallas increase synchronistic opportunity. You should feel like you are onto something good, that you have reached or are on the brink on a significant breakthrough; that things are coming together for you. Yet, you still have uncertainty or missing blanks to fill in – and Mercury is still in retrograde. Among the range of possibilities, this full moon could prompt an important conversation or negotiation. Too, it could deliver a special event or meet-up, good news, or an important announcement. You could gain recognition or a new level of freedom and independence. You could say hello or goodbye. The full moon increases your luck ratio too, so strike while the iron is hot. The full moon also favours travel for pleasure or business, teaching, education, exhibition, performance, sports, or marketing ventures. You could sign on with an agent or publisher, or make gains on a legal matter. You’ll also see action in the days that follow the full moon. Building to Feb 6, the sun’s opposition with Jupiter can bring whatever was pending or was not yet fully exposed to its fullness.

The end of Mercury retrograde on Feb 11 can also put you back in the game in a significant way.

Your hot stuff self is back in action as of the second half of the month and into the next two. Feb 18 to 21 deliver rev the engine or rocket-ship time, thanks to a super new moon at the very last degree of Aquarius, and the advances of both Mars and Venus into Aries. Feb 24 and 25 are good synch-it dates.

CAPRICORN (Dec 22 ~ Jan 19)

Start of the month find you completely wrapped up in the moment. There can be sacrifices to make, but for the most part, they seem to be ones you feel are valid. They are. Too, you seem to be developing a deeper bond with someone close to you, perhaps a friend, sibling, neighbour, or client. Four planets in Pisces could also light up a spiritual path or calling. A sense of karmic release, calling, fruition, or poignancy is connected to today’s circumstances. While Venus and Mars continue in Pisces (to Feb 19 /20) you can do no better than to surrender to the process and the moment, and to allow for the unfolding of time to display its wisdom.

While Mercury continues in retrograde, it’s a time to get better in touch with yourself. Work on personal upgrades (physical, emotional, and psychological) and aim to refortify from with. Once the retrograde completes on Feb 11 you’ll be ready to take it up a full-thrust, notch. Keep alert for the Leo full moon on Feb 3, or the sun’s opposition to Jupiter on Feb 6 to provide an early jumpstart. Both dates suggest something big to do with finances, investments, or affairs of the heart. Too, you celebrate a big score or victory. You can make better headway with legal matters and insurance claims. The week also favours travel, interview prospects, exhibitions, workshops, sales, or teaching opportunities.

Looking for a new address, more freedom and independence, want to launch your own business, or simply want to freshen up your private and family life? Mars in Aries, starting Feb 19, and Venus into Aries on Feb 20, will get you hustling. Feisty, frisky and sexy Mars and Venus, keep your fighting spirit in fine form. These revitalizing transits should fan your fire just fine. If there’s conflict in the home or elsewhere to deal with, you’ll be on it pronto, and rightly you should. Venus trines Saturn on Feb 24 and Mars trines Saturn on Feb 25. Both dates should see you hit a great stride.

AQUARIUS (Jan 20 ~ Feb 18)

Mercury retrograde is in your sign this time. It’s an appropriate transit for a personal re-evaluation and/or to regroup. Are you heading in the right direction? Are you taking the right steps, the right course of action? What upgrades are advantageous? What’s past its due date? What do you really know? What do you think you should know more about?

Your commitment level has likely undergone testing. Staying true to the course can be tricky during Mercury retrograde. Things that should be simple and straightforward can suddenly become complicated. A contract can be been broken. Something that looked promising can fall into the almost but not quite category. Mercury retrograde can also produce a health setback. Remember that Mercury retrograde problems are often temporary. Take each challenge as an isolated incident. One step at a time will get you patched up and back in the saddle quicker than you may anticipate.

On the other hand, Mercury retrograde can be a great time to get off the hamster wheel.  Allow more quality time-out for creative conjuring or to simply decompress.

The full moon in Leo on Feb 3 is conjunct Jupiter. By Feb 6, the Aquarius sun will oppose Jupiter. It was close to an opposition on the day it turned retrograde, but Mercury won’t get to Jupiter until Mar 1. Jupiter in Leo now shines in your social and public sector. These three points suggest you have a big plan or something major on the go. On the other hand, something can be on the runaway track. With more distance behind you, the future now looms even larger. The stars place added importance on the presentation and on showing up in some major way, for yourself, for another, for the world you exist in. Only your best will do. The Leo full moon is a time to impress or to be impressed. It’s a big push time. Feb 3 to 6 could bring important news, an important negotiation or interview, an opportunity to travel or to get your message out to a larger audience. Personal, romantic, business-wise, or professionally, someone of significance features prominently in the opportunities at hand.

The super new moon in Aquarius on Feb 18 is followed by Mars and Venus racing into Aries. If you have felt uncertain, off track, depleted, or loose ended earlier in the month, you certainly won’t be by the time the month finishes.

PISCES (Feb 19 ~ March 20)

Feb opens with Venus conjunct Neptune and Mars conjunct Chiron, all in the sign of Pisces. It’s a consciousness rising, come alive, well-spring set up. Of course, the fish swim in two directions. You can feel infused, inspired; revitalized with creativity, love, compassion, and/or spirit’s great grace – or you can feel completely lost within yourself. Mercury retrograde in Aquarius is an ideal transit to cut out for a temporary spell. Gift yourself with quality time to go exploring and to feel your way along. It can be an exceptionally vibrant come-alive time for the private and personal journey. Mercury in Aquarius (by retrograde to Feb 11 and continuing direct to Mar 12) can help you to discover new capacities, to explore consciousness or your present circumstances from a fresh angle. If you are battling a physical ailment or an addiction, Mercury in Aquarius is excellent transit for doing your research on an alternate, experimental, or cutting edge therapy.

The full moon on Feb 3 can raise the game on work, health, and day to day matters. Even though Mercury is still retrograde, this could be quite a good day regarding creative solutions. It can also be a great time to start a new job, project, or therapy, or take a vacation break. Feb 6 can deliver more than you planned or feel ready for.

Keeping you holding your own quite well and in a state of attraction, Mars and Venus continue in Pisces to Feb 19 and 20. By Feb 21, Mars and Venus, both in Aries, begin a new you-to-you relationship cycle. It’s a great time for self-discovery and for tackling something fresh and new. Mars and Venus in Aries energize your financial sector. They also increase your sexy. Yes, hot stuff – you are. Be truthful, you knew that already, didn’t you?
