An intense full moon now rises – please think safety first!

Rose’s Hockey Prediction:
Sun Feb 28 brings a super full moon in Virgo, opposition to the Sun in Pisces with Jupiter conjunct. On the minus side, Virgo correlates to mistakes (the Canucks have made a few – like losing to the USA on “Super Sunday” last week!) and on the plus side, Virgo correlates to honing skills, fixing, and improvement. Pisces correlates to hope and redemption; Jupiter expands Pisces potentials, both plus and minus. (Note that Jupiter is also the planet of religion, and that’s how the world refers to Canada’s passion for hockey.)
The Canada/Us hockey game takes just place after the moon is full (12:15 PST), it should be an intense a face-off for these two magnificent opponents.
The one with the most to lose (full moon in Virgo) and the most to gain (Sun/Jupiter in Pisces) is likely to win the game. Canada’s hockey reputation certainly fits that description. Although Ryan Miller and Brian Ralfaski have terrific stars, Crosby and Luongo (and Niedermeyer) have stellar favour too.
The previously crowned victor (the USA, last to win Olympic gold) falls, and religion -(Jupiter/Pisces, or in other words, hockey in Canada) – sweeps it away.
Canada may not own the podium (“win the war”), but we are likely to win the golden battle (hockey gold.) Go Canada Go!

February Overview:

February’s start moves us past the second of three “push-come-to-shove” alignments of Saturn and Pluto (by square aspect.) While the pressure ceiling will continue, just past the first few days of the month, we should all begin to feel a corner has been turned.

Slow movers Neptune and Chiron (two-thirds of last year’s triple alignment group) will meet for the first time on Feb 16, but we have been familiarizing ourselves with this planetary influence for the better portion of a year. As collective influences, when Neptune and Chiron pair up, they take us through a healing crisis of significant magnitude. Often the collective consciousness-raising catalyst is personified in a singular event or an individual’s extraordinary journey. Haiti’s devastating earthquake is, of course, our latest bear witness moment.

At a more joyous end of the spectrum, we will soon witness Neptune/Chiron’s triumph of human spirit as the 2010 Winter Olympics convenes Feb 12 – 28 in Vancouver and Whistler, B.C. Still, the games may (continue to) be overshadowed by attention drawn elsewhere. Less than optimum weather circumstances (our El Nino winter and poor snow conditions) are also indicated by the influences of Mars retrograde, and Neptune/Chiron. On the commercial drawback, Mars in retrograde suggests there are fewer name/recognized athletes to peak the public interest. On the plus side, Mars retrograde gives the lesser-known a better chance, so we should witness delightful surprises on the podium. C’mon Canada, let’s rack up some gold! (The crowning jewel may prove to be the Paralympics games, which take place Mar 12 – 21 when (after four months in retrograde) Mars in Leo reclaims its direct motion.

The new moon on Feb 13 also heralds the beginning of the Chinese Metal Tiger New Year, setting the stage of a year when ambitious self assertion is the requirement. Feb 13’s potent and promising new moon is also tied to the Neptune/Chiron seeding cycle, suggesting it is a pinnacle point along destiny’s timeline. What is the message of the moment? Aspire higher, relinquish worry, transcend fear, and surrender to the uncharted moment. When you don’t know what to do next, watch for synchronicity to unfold your map and seize opportunity as it appears.

ARIES (March 21- April 19)

Venus in Aquarius (to Feb 12) facilitates easy rapport and good people connections, so use this first couple of weeks to socialize, network, and aim to create those desired inroads with others. Aquarius month is also the time to get more community-minded or politically active. Join a group or association, or aim to make your leisure time more stimulating by attending workshops or events. You are sure to meet interesting new people along the way. In fact, you could meet key people, or even a special one. The synchronistic new moon Feb 13 is full of exceptional potential. As Venus and Jupiter draw closer (perfecting aspect by Feb 16, the same day that Chiron and Neptune move into a new phase), you could find yourself moving closer to a resolution point, a cherished goal, or dream come true.  Feb 18 can move you past a block or stalemate. On another note, the transits of Venus, Jupiter, and the Sun also bring a great time to disconnect from the usual and/or take a vacation.

The busy full moon in Virgo on Feb 28 could overwhelm you with the unforeseen, especially re work, equipment, vehicles, health or schedules. Complications re work, health or schedules can blindside, drain, or sidetrack you. While it’s wonderful to get swept away, try not to let the undertow of an over-active imagination, excessiveness, extravagance, or over-indulgence get the better of you.  Stay hopeful but don’t bank on promises until you have more to go on. Once the ball starts rolling, you will quickly see where it is heading.

TAURUS (April 20 -May 20)

Aquarius month is traditionally the time of year when you feel at your most restless. You may feel ready to pack in that job that drives you crazy, or you may feel a more compelling urge to get away from people who grate on you.  Of course, it’s also the time when you can be at your most ambitious, so know that when you channel the energies in the right direction, you are likely to do yourself great justice. Venus, Mercury, and the sun gracing your professional sector should provide you with fresh opportunity, (sometimes it can hit unexpectedly and not always pleasantly). Your popularity as the indispensable go-to person can increase. Too, you can find yourself on the receiving end of insightful feedback from those who matter to you professionally or personally. Conversely, there can be interruptions, disruptions, broken contracts or promises, or rude awakenings. Overall, the opportune new moon on Feb 13 appears to deliver a positive moving forward. It can be a time to initiate a change residence or jobs. Action-taking Feb 13 – 16 can meet with ready success. The full moon in Virgo on Feb 28 can bring resolution, healing and improved conditions.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21)

Venus, Sun, and Mercury in Aquarius can put you into great spirits, especially so if you have booked yourself time off from your usual grind, and even better if you have someplace new to be or someone new to talk to. Jupiter’s tour through Pisces (to June) can disintegrate barriers, self doubt, or worn-out rationales that prevent you from moving forward. Professional potentials can grow beyond what you have experienced to date. In fact, you are now entering an especially lucrative window of opportunity time. Stay ambitious, aim higher, and spread your wings as you feel inspired to do so. Aim to expand yourself not only career wise, but also re your personal life circumstances and personal repertoire too. Feb 10 – 18 appear to be particularly opportune for all undertakings. The full moon on Feb 28 can also ignite a vibrant forward thrust time. Should you find yourself loose-ended, lost, unclear, or directionless, don’t despair. There is likely to be more brewing than is obvious in the moment. Use your betwixt and between time to do what you can and know that the road ahead will start to gather better definition as early as March. In fact, by June, things are sure to fire up, and quickly too.

CANCER (June 22-July 22)

Synchronicity on your side, so know the month ahead can be full of financial and romantic opportunity. Whether through necessity or whether you are drawing from a natural growth spurt, you should find yourself with more acceptance, openness, and readiness. Your confidence for risk-taking and branching out appears to be improved too. The Sun (to Feb 18), Venus (to Feb 11) and Mercury in Aquarius (Feb 10 – Mar 1) can introduce you to new income or investment potentials. Jupiter (to June 6) and Venus through Pisces (Feb 11 – Mar 7) are especially fortuitous. (Areas receiving grace from this planetary duo: pleasure pursuits, your social life, new adventures in love, business expansion, travel, higher education, spiritual practices/pursuits; gain through public exposure – media, performing arts, exhibitions, advertising campaigns, and such). Suffice to say, the now is incredibly “stacked”. Know that the potential for impetuous action is also great, so stay wise, stay hopeful, but don’t bank on a maybe or inflate (an easy thing to do when Pisces energies rules the sky.)  A single moment could be the “it” moment that answers your prayers, but by the same token, some of those promising potentials could prove to be short lived or duds. LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

Mercury enters Aquarius just as Venus leaves, so you should find your days to be especially busy over the coming weeks. This is a good social and networking month for you. It’s also a good month to explore beyond your usual, so investigate new subjects or financial potentials. You never know where a simple hello or conversation can lead. Time alone for creative exploration, soul searching, personal development, or healing can be quite productive. Mars in Leo continues to energize and refresh your reinvention mandate. This is an important time to observe yourself in action and to implement whatever changes are necessary in order to create your desired upgrades. For some, it is a go it alone time, for others, it is a time to partner up. For all, it’s time to ensure that you stay true to what’s best for you. Jupiter in Pisces can make you aware of losses or lost ground, but it can also help you to let go of your lost litres too. You can feel a more obvious sense of the river flow, and this facilitates an ease of transition, even for that which seemed tough to face just a little while ago. On the plus side, the influence of Jupiter in Pisces (Venus too) can help you to rediscover/reclaim passion, deeper meaning and purpose, love, faith, and hope. The full moon on Feb 28 could find you overwhelmed with more than you were prepared for. VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Mercury in organized and efficient Capricorn (to Feb 10) can help you to make solid strides forward. Renew your commitment to health and exercise regimes. Enhancements (in all areas) will prove to be especially worthy undertakings. You can improve you relationship with your kids and your co-workers, too. Jupiter (to June 5) and Venus (Feb 11 to Mar 1) in Pisces benefit your social and love life and can also help you to regain your equilibrium or regain a previously lost momentum. You can find that people warm to you quite easily now, so it’s a great time to interview for a new job, to scout for new clients, pitch a new product, bid on a new project, etc. It’s also the right time to seek favours, grants, raises, etc., to increase your public profile, or put your creative talents out on show.  Feb 10 – 18 can be an especially event packed, on the go, social, fun, or lucrative week. Love ones/kids (and your relationship with them) can be making better strides now too. This new moon sparks your creativity and creative potentials too, so by all means, dive in, explore, conjure, make it happen, and dazzle us while you are at it.

The full moon Feb 28 could challenge you with something forgotten, avoided, or ignored. Health, work, or hidden expenses could be especially draining. Of course, if you have been burning the candle at both ends, you may feel especially spent (perhaps you’ll need a vacation from the vacation.) Then again, this full moon could simply signal the necessity of getting back to work and of facing clean-up time.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

As the Sun (to Feb 18), Venus (to Feb 11) and Mercury (starting Feb 10) tour Aquarius your attention can be focused on setting up new bottom lines and or on getting a new project off the ground. New family, home, or real estate matters can occupy your priority attention too. Reunions or revisits can be quite joyous.  While you could feel things are up in the air, (you could feel uprooted or even displaced) once the new moon cycle energizes on Feb 13, you should see things start to fall into place quite readily. As of mid month, adoption, immigration, and other such legal matters can move swiftly forward. .In fact, thanks to the transits of both Venus (Feb 16) and the Sun (Feb 28) conjoined with Jupiter, most activities and ambitions are like to yield especially pleasing fruit.  Jupiter’s visit to Pisces (through June 5 and again in the fall) bestows grace where you desire it the most. Creativity and romance are two departments where you can feel kissed by the gods. Your popularity and notoriety can be on the upswing, your luck can be too. The last few days of the month and the first few of March can see things open up for you in a big way. Watch for good news and wonderful opportunity re life or love.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Whatever you may be looking for, you can find your search for the “new and improved” to meet with better success/more reward, especially so once the new moon energizes mid-month. If you are an Olympic enthusiast or participant, (or sports minded for that matter,) you are sure to get your fill of excitement. If you have decided to leave town, well, that will prove delightful too. Jupiter’s visit to Pisces can turn your yearnings to nesting, spiritual questing, or personal healing sojourns. Peaceful and soothing environments will hold especially great appeal. In fact, you could disappear once Venus (Feb 11 – Mar 6) and the Sun (Feb 18 – Mar 20) advance into Pisces. Playtime devoted to creative musing can be especially rewarding.  Music, poetry, dance, and such can move you deeply. Someone special could touch your soul. The full moon on Feb 28 may bring a disappointment or significant loss; a problem and/or a solution could suddenly become more obvious. Work, responsibilities, or limitations can be particularly draining, health could problematic too.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

The month begins with Saturn, your ruler, in retrograde and in dynamic tension to planet Pluto. This compelling (and largely frustrating) forging ahead aspect may have initially blocked or delayed you, but it is one that serves purpose all the same. A positive forward momentum is building, but it is one that first forces adjustment or concessions where you have felt you could least afford them. In some cases, it necessitates a completely revamped program. Don’t look at your challenges as lost ground; look at them as an opportunity to entertain completely new possibilities. As time goes on, you will discover what you didn’t know previously. AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

As this forward-thrust month advances, you should feel like you are picking up good energy too. Venus (to Feb 11), Mercury (starting Feb 10) and your birthday sun should bring you a fresh burst of get up and go. Fresh stimulus and inspiration can be readily found, especially so from mid month forward. Feb 10 – 18 is an ideal time for new initiatives. Unleash yourself, or reinvent the wheel, anyway you like. A new lifestyle is in the works, and along with it comes an important self-discovery and personal regroup cycle. A new physical appearance can be like your declaration to the universe.  Experiment. You never know how far you can get unless you give it a try and it’s an exceptional time for stage setting. Jupiter in Pisces (through June) can open you up to even more resource or resourcefulness. Go by the natural feel/natural flow, and for the most part, you’ll find you simply can’t go wrong. Jupiter, Venus (Feb 11 – Mar 6) and the Sun (Feb 18 – Mar 20) can bring financial increase. These planets also bode quite beautifully for romance and creative undertakings.

The full moon Feb 28 could bring advantage where you expect it the least. A default on a deal or contract could fall in your lap. You could move from 2^nd place to first, or find that your backup plan is better than your first picks. You may find that you have to step in and take over when someone else can’t. Think carefully before you sign up, and don’t accept anything at face value. What initially seems like improvement or a lucrative potential, may later reveal costly hidden extras or prove to be a lost litre.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

While the direction forward can still be uncertain, or your questions are still unanswered, Jupiter’s recent entrance into Pisces can make you feel more hopeful and less challenged. This shift of perspective may be your intuition’s prompt, or it can be a matter of acknowledging that you have made it to here okay. Aquarius month is a time of awakening insights, growing potentials, and refurbished you in the works. It is an ideal time for stage-setting or background research, for planning or new initiatives. You are in a positive attraction cycle, so know as you step out or branch out, you will meet with ready welcome (especially so mid month forward).
